- your zip doesn't have an
everest.yamlfile - the map is uncategorized, since it's not inside any campaign
Ok ill give it a try thanks for your help though

Have fun with modding
I made the change but It still doesnt appear in the enable and disable mods menu.
Hm
Well I'm unsure what's wrong here
So it doesn't appear in enable/disable mods and map selection
Hmmm
Can I get the log?
Just in case
I might be missing a detail
Wait how do I do that?
Yeah
Go to the game folder, there should be a log.txt file I think
Hm
Open the game again
Try to find the map
And send the log again
I didn't see it
ok
If I don't get it
Your welcome
Welp
I tried
But I can't really find the issue
It seems the mod just doesn't load for some reason
Well thank you for trying
@rigid shard try changing the mod name from Test to something else in everest.yaml
What do you mean?
i renamed it and it shows up fine
Im confused about how you said name it to something else in everest.yaml what is in everest yaml that i should name it to
actually no, the zip itself shows up fine
is both the zip and the folder inside your Mods folder
oh I understand
yeah i just dropped the zip into my mods folder and it shows up fine
in this case i only have 2 things that come to mind:
- is both the zip and the folder inside the mods folder
- did you restart celeste
what do i rename test to
you don't have to anymore
?
i thought the name was doing something with everest, but it isn't
Then what is causing the issue
Wait so what do I do?
do you have both the zipped folder and the unzipped folder in your mods, like this
if it is, remove the zip from the mods folder and restart celeste
if it isn't then i'm not really sure what's wrong
but i'm assuming you have restarted celeste after you made the map, right
yeah
well then this is the only thing that i can think of that doesn't let your mod load
but i'd still restart just to be sure
Wait its supposed to be a folder and not a .zip
you can have both unzipped folders and non-zipped folders, everest even organizes them accordingly
unzipped folders have the benefit that they're, well, unzipped, and that you can modify your stuff directly
zipped folders are usually used to distribute your mod to others
I relaunched the game but do I have to relaunch Everest as well.
I meant Olympus
no, you don't need to
Beautiful
So what is wrong with my mod?
Conflicting files
You had 2 mods named the same
One is a folder
The other one is a zip
no*
Is there anything I can do to fix it
show your mods folder
here
everything's the same as here, right
hm, and after restarting log.txt still doesn't mention your mod anywhere?
Well I was playing strawberry jam 2 days ago.
Is English.txt required
And also do the question marks mean anything?
that's because it doesn't have an everest.yaml, so it doesn't know the name and version number
I already have an everest.yaml
It says this: - Name: NateTheGreat14
Version: 0.0.1
Dependencies:
- Name: Everest
Version: 1.4030.0
oh maybe it uses the database
Well what do I do to fix it?
nvm it doesn't
either your mod is structured wrong or it's in the wrong celeste install
How is a mod supposed to be structured?
I was already using this website.
can you screenshot the contents of your mod
and the Atest folder?
your Atest folder is just directly on the desktop
instead of in the Mods folder of your celeste install
it's probably not 1 to 1 or it would be working
Well I copied this folder and put it straight into my mods folder and it didnt work.
does this still show question marks if you close and reopen olympus?
It still does.
then it's not an exact copy, otherwise it would be reading the everest.yaml
How do I fix it?
do you have multiple celeste installs or did you move your install at some point?
Yes I have a modded Install and a duplicate for the original
then your mod is probably in the wrong install
Oh ok.
