Problem with updating Everest, SJ won't load | Mt. Celeste Climbing Association | Page 1

Hi, I posted this in the SJ server, and they suggested I post this here.

Today, I tried to open SJ, but under Mod Options it said "2 mods failed to load", and when I selected, it listed gravityhelper and SJ. I'm by no means an expert, but from what I can tell, it has to do with Everest not being on the latest stable version. I've tried using both "install missing dependencies" and installing directly from Everest, but both methods don't work. Through Celeste, the command prompt window opens, and the line "celeste not read-writable - waiting" appears. Through Everest, the file path for Celeste appears on the last line, and then nothing happens after. Sorry if this is a really easy problem to fix, but I don't know how to. 😅 I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

is your Celeste.exe file set to read-only for some reason

Wouldn't it say I'm not allowed to change it? It's allowing me to change it but it reverts immediately after
