#Epic Cloud Sync with Everest

Hello,
I have been playing the Strawberry Jam mod on my laptop since my PC was broken for a while and now that it's fixed, I'd like to transfer my progress. I thought I could just use Epic's built-in cloud sync feature, but that doesn't seem to be working; it says both versions (the one on my laptop and the one on my PC) are synced, and there are no overlap errors. However, when I run it on my PC, none of my mods are installed and my Strawberry Jam save file is just vanilla. Any thoughts?

epic

my laptop had some issues with everest where I couldnt actually open the Olympus application (it just showed a black screen). I was still able to install the mods I wanted though, so now to play everest I just launch the game through Epic, where I have it downloaded.

#

My thought process was that by doing this, everest and all of my mod data would be synced along with the game files on epic, meaning that it would just transfer over to my PC.

(regarding the olympus freeze:)

For some users, Olympus freezes on a white or black screen on startup for unknown reasons. You can attempt the following fixes:
-If you have a third party antivirus, check if it's blocking/quarantining Olympus.
-Restart your PC.
-Delete and reinstall Olympus.
If none of those work, no fix for this is currently known and you have to use one of the following alternate installation methods:
-On Windows, the old graphical Everest installer is available at https://gamebanana.com/dl/430740.
-Mons (https://github.com/coloursofnoise/mons/) is a command line based cross-platform installer that is similarly powerful to Olympus. However, it requires some base familiarity with the command line.
-Alternatively, you can use the manual installation method described under "Cross-platform manual installation" at https://everestapi.github.io/.

I think it's completely expected that the installed mods don't get carried over, would make sense if only the saves folder is

Have you tried re-installing strawberry jam, if the file has strawberry jam things then?

#

If it still looks like vanilla, then enter the save file, and in the chapter selection press up/down to switch between vanilla and different mods if you haven't tried that

yeah i just manually installed the mods and now everything seems to be working

#

the modded save file did transfer thru the cloud save as intended, just not the mods themselves
