Bingo Client doesn't connect on Mac | Mt. Celeste Climbing Association | Page 1

I'm setting up Bingo UI and Bingo Client on a Mac (modding on a mac for the first time, installation all went smoothly, and I'm not getting this issue from a modded Windows PC). When I put in the bingo URL and correct password, I get the following error: "Could not connect to room: HTTPS security error"

I've tried: restarting celeste, switching wifi on and off, and different networks.

Any idea what I can do?

Hopefully this is the appropriate place to ask this!

yeah there's an easy fix these days

#

just go into the mod settings and switch the proxy to http

Did you just download it? That’s the right place, but it’s only in the most recent version

so this is embarassing - I updated the mod many months ago but I never uploaded it to gamebanana. I've been using the fixed version myself but didn't release it...

it's uploaded now. as soon as the autoupdater picks it up you should be able to find that option

shameless plug: this option uses my personal web server as a proxy in order to get around macos being silly, so if you're not a literal child consider sending me a dollar to support the feature!
