Hello is there any solution to fix that I am unable to do calls? Pressing 1 to 1call, pressing 2 to 2call etc.. all I can do is F call
It might not be as important as other problems but it still is kinda needed at this stage of the game (I’ve tried reinstalling and that doesn’t help)

I know this has been asked but how do I get Evirma to even start, I press play, then 3 seconds later it stops and pops back to the “Play” button

#pinned-troubleshooting Download the vcruntime.dll zipped folder, extract it and place the .dll file into your isle install folder. Then try again.

@delicate harness sorry to bother you again, I am not trying to spit issues into your face, I also had that ressolution issue, and now when I launch the isle, it is just a black screen after I tried the fullscreen thing, I am re installing it now, but if it is still a black screen, do you have any pointers? Sorry again for all the trouble

The only fix for blackscreen I'm aware of is to do with when you're actually in-game. Setting post processing to epic fixes that. Having a black screen before even being loaded in points to a GPU issue and i'd advice checking your drivers are up to date. @hard dawn

@topaz ridge #pinned-troubleshooting download the zipped folder and extract, put the .dll file into your isle install folder.

@thin quartz I think servers are still a bit dodgy and it's alot of the time due to them not being setup properly, if you keep getting the errors and kicks back to menus, i've heard restarting the game can help, as annoying as it is.

I don't know where to put this, but how can you join the evrima update, my laucher wont work for some unknown reason. Is there a reason for that? if so please help. I have tried multiple solutions, the dll file won't seem to work. I have tried to reinstall the game and restart my PC, but it seems that it won't work. I got no problem launching other games except for this one. I click start and suddently it won't appear. If someone knows, please DM me and help me figure this out.

@delicate harness Hi, sorry for the late reply. So I've uninstalled the original legacy version of The Isle, and the common folder is now empty apart from the "Steamworks Shared" folder. Are there any other places The Isle might've put some files that I'd need to delete, if you know?

@rigid rune Just to be on the safe side, go to "This PC" and search for "TheIsle" one word. There's sometimes something in an AppData folder but I didn't have that problem. Just deleted all the legacy isle stuff manually in the steamapps>common folder, then redownloaded evrima branch and it worked.

@coarse hare its normal for new stuff to break at the beginning, don't worry it will all get fixed with future updates. Its caused by memory leaks and the server crashes after some time. No ETA on when, but you can expect the performance to be better with every upcoming update.
@covert pebble have they tried everything in #pinned-troubleshooting ?

@delicate harness Ah right, thanks! In my case, there actually was a "TheIsle" folder in the AppData folder which I have just deleted. There's also a folder called "UnrealEngine", should I delete that as well? (The Isle is the only game I've got that has anything to do with the Unreal Engine)

Ah, alright. The only thing that's inside of it anyway is just the "Manifest.ini" file, which is only a kilobyte in size. I'm gonna try installing EVRIMA again now, hopefully it'll work now. Thank you for the help! 😄

I've read the pinned bugs but I can't seam to find a fix for my problem, after launching the game and getting in a server i se the map for a split second but it takes me back to the main menu when i choose a server again it says data acqusition failed I've restarted the game (many times) and pc but it didn't do the trick i verified de local folders and reinstalled the game i'm a bit lost, any hlp?

@wooden quest This is a known bug atm. The team is working on correctingg this issue as we speak. As of right now, there is no fix. They will be putting out an update in the next day or so presumably. Amorok has posted streams of himself fixing this bug.

@random oriole I found this site that allows you to re download .dll files. I have never used it before so I am not 100% sure if it is safe, but it looks legit to me. I might give it a try if I were you & see if it fixs your issue.@ebon tangle Did you make sure you got the steam update 4.0.0.6? if your game is currently on 4.0.0.0 the update should fix that problem. If you are running 4.0.0.6, there are some other things we might try.

@hollow smelt I've managed to fix it. I read a discussion that had the answers to a lot of common problems. I would link it but I don't remember how I found it but it was pinned by PunchPacket I believe anyway. It says that everytime it takes you back to the main menu you just have to restart your game and try again until it works, whcih it did. But now all of the sudden my Adult Utah is gone lol did they reset the servers ?

@thin oracle First thing to try is exit the game, completely close out of steam. restart steam, restart the game, & see if you can enter servers. Sometimes you have to do this a couple times to get it to work. If that doesn't fix it, there are other things we could try.

@jovial saffron Try going into your steam library, right click on The Isle (EVRIMA), click properties. Under the local files tab, click "Verify integrity of game files"

I did both of these and the integrity of game files were validated or whatever, I'm not sure exactly what it says. I've extracted and placed the file in the correct spot and.......it's working!! Thank you guys so much for taking the time to help me!

Alright, I have downloaded the file that is supposed to fix the game not opening, but honestly, I'm not a computer person and just having the download link, I have no idea what to do with it after it's on the computer

I think once you download the file you have to drag it onto your desktop, then you go into your steam library, right click the Isle, then click properties. After that click local files at the top of the panel, then click Browse Local Files. Once you are there open the vcruntimes file and drag the vcrunctime file into the local files of The Isle

@fickle onyx did it already, wento over all possible combinations and currently sitting at 5000 of ping, weird this is that i can see the servers on steam server list but not in the in game interface. so i do not think steam is at fault this time. and what is weird is that if i use a VPN from my own country that increase ping even more i am able to see majority of servers

I'm not sure where to ask, but is FPS around 30-40 normal? (Graphic card GTX 960) Drops to around 15-20 when there's a complex player interaction (herd fight, for example). I might be just paranoid because I've never had an FPS indicator right in front of me, but I think The Isle legacy version ran smoother, even when there was a lot of stuff going around, it was still stable. Am I just paranoid..?

Does anyone gpu usage drops when play the game starts at 100% for 30mins to an hour then drops to 80% maybe 15mins to 30mins drops to about 40% to 30% and stutters and becomes unplayable for me. So when I download the game half through the download the game slows my internet and then turns it off for about 3mins to 5mins and repeats the process. I never had a game that turns off my internet it’s very odd...

@hallow flower @finite snow @cunning geyser just so you guys know in case you haven't tried this, i did end up eventually deleting the isle, uninstalling it on steam, reinstalling it, and playing it (i had to re-download and unzip the vcruntime file though), and that worked for me. all the servers successfully loaded each time i tried to play.

#pinned-troubleshooting @autumn geyser theres a zipped folder you downlaod, extract the files to the desktop then place the vcruntime.dll file in your isle install folder.

@safe nebula Make sure you clicked the download icon next to the link in #pinned-troubleshooting the file will be an app extension file (.dll) if it isn't you haven't downloaded it yet.
Make sure you extract the files from the zipped folder and not just place the zipped folder in the isle install location

Right so me and alot of other people are having issues that we cant see some of the servers in the server list in EVRIMA but they do show up in the steam server list and as of now joining through steam list does not work so is there a launch option command that instantly makes you join the server as you start up the game? @crimson path No idea. I can't say anything about EVIRMA because I haven't managed to get into the actual game yet (it always crashed before it would load the map), but I have never had any framerate issues on legacy before. Only map that is a bit choppy (for me) is Thenyaw.

@final wigeon You may need to do a fresh install and/or verify the integrity of game files, also maybe unsub from mods if you have them on the Isle.

@crimson path If you have nvidia, enable Vsync in the Nvidia Control Panel. Selecting it in game too.

Make sure you've extracted the dll and then moved it, if you just move it, it won't work. All else fails, verify integrity and reinstall.

@brittle venture Go to #pinned-troubleshooting and download the zipped folder in there, extract the contents to desktop. Go to steam, right click the isle > manage > browse local files.. then put the vcruntime.dll file in there.

@modern inlet the current way to make it somewhat better is to have all your settings on epic and set render scale to 100. There's a patch coming in the next few days to allow better control over settings and hopefully fix the blur properly.

Something weird is happening for me, I have friends on an NA server but all I see are EU/GER/RU/China/etc. servers.
I live in North America, Steam is signed in and working. Not sure why I can't see anything. Let me know!

Does it say "Data Acquisition" on the screen? If so, relaunching the game will fix it. If it doesn't work the first time try again.

@clever copper Yes, you have to place the .dll file you extracted into the isles install folder, if you go to steam and right click on the isle, go to manage, then browse local files, put the file in there

Im having an issue with my servers, im from NA and for some reason whenever i try and find a server to go on more than 90% of the servers that show up everytime i do it are from other regions, i have more servers showing up from brazil and the EU than NA and i dont know how to fix it.

Not sure where else to put this since there's no FAQ but I'm just reading through NVIDIA's GeForce NOW FAQ and I can't tell if it'll effect how we play the Isle in terms of requiring outside purchases or being restricted to limited playing sessions...I'm reading it and it sounds like once the hour's up for free members it kicks you back to the queue. Does that only apply to cloud streamers or even to those of us who bought and downloaded the game?

game doesn't launch add the vcruntime downloaded still doesn't work deleted the Isla on my C and D drive and uninstalled it on steam then re downloaded the isle and evrima redownloaded vcruntime and put it in the isla folder like before and it still will not even open/ launch

Seems like I fixed this error by only being tabbed onto the isle and not any other application. I don't know if this was known and solved, but I will put this here anyways. (Now, when I try to search for servers, it infinitely says "Searching All Frequencies" |:)

I recently installed the new patch for evrima, it launches fine and I can get in, but once I'm on the title screen my mouse gets distorted and I can't click "I understand" on the message that pops up on release. And by distorted I mean my mouse for some reason becomes bigger, fatter, and shorter

Update: I restarted my pc in hope that it would help my problem of a main menu black screen but instead, the isle loaded the main menu up for me but I couldn’t press “I understand” and it’s stuck on the screen and won’t let me window out at all so I force restarted my pc

Dunno if it has been reported, I changed the keys settings to fit my EU azerty keyboard, it messed up every thing, walking backward staid S , couldn't do it ingame, left became q and right became d , couldn't turn ingame etc. And resetting them did nothing.

Edit: Restarting the game did nothing, turn right for some reason became W, and trying resetting more turn more keys into W, and changing them do nothing.

@sinful glade had the same issue, for some reason the resolution is different which means that your mouse doesnt click at the place where it is. Just move your mouse over the screen until the 'i understand' is highlighted'. I had to position my mouse to the right and under it i believe. Once you are in, set your resolution that your pc operates with in settings.

now it wont let me passed the menu screen ....game will not crash but I can not push the "I understand " button or anything else I have relaunched the game , then steam and the game with a relog, and now reinstalled the game after removing all the files and uninstalling ....still getting the same thing.............................................................................................FIX...........it off set all of my screen settings.
#1 When you get to the" I Understand" screen press tab tell you see it reach that button and press enter
#2 Your mouse is going to be off set to the actual buttons. mess with it tell you get the settings to open and then change the screen resolution to 1920x 1080 and apply

i deleted the game and reinstalled it and tried to do the key bindings again, i put them it but it wouldnt apply, i am only able to edit key bindings once, as soon as i hit back and i got back to the same window the keys are showing preset buttons but the presets are messed up. itll have the same key for multiple things. i tried to key bind my game to my controller which it seemed like it worked, but when i hit apply it didnt save, i could only hit back, but it seems like it partly saved when i got in game, i switched my sprint for left trigger and my secondary attack aka pounce for right bumper while primary attack was right trigger, when i hit left trigger to sprint its also pouncing even though i tried to change it to right bumper, my sprint shouldnt be doing 2 different actions. also i tried to edit the calls on the D pad and it wouldnt let me use d pad up as a key bind when in legacy branch thats not a problem

okay I managed to get into my game and into controls. I can change all of my controls except for up and down. rather than using WASD I use the arrow keys. I set left and right just fine but when I try to set my forward and back keys it just highlights the boxes outside and doesn't change the keys

it's the file that contains the keybinds; if you change the very end part where it says Key=(whatever letter) to Key=H it might fix it. I don't have this problem so it's just speculation from me

dont know where else to ask so imma put it in here. Question on when you get kicked from a server (because of internet or what have you not by admin) and you get the cant find any server bugs anyone know a fix for that? Ive had this bug for ages re installing, verifying and all that doesnt work. And isnt just the isle but not all games either. Ive tried so many things contacted steam all that jazz but still when i get booted because of lagging our, or my internet has a giggle i just get into the endless loop of no servers found like non at all anymore. Restarting pc and steam doesnt work either. Tried everything.
Just got myself kicked from our own servers because it was outdated and hoppa got the issue yet again :/ i really dont know what else i could do and try to kick it off its butt again.

update: can now find servers again after restarted 3 times but can not join any, checked everything is up to date. I get instantly kicked back to starter screen when trying to join

oke did verify again, restart steam and servers showed up again and no error. I can now join servers but only the ones with players on it. So i think all the ones im seeing with 0 players are having a problem. And i dont mean the outdated ones i mean the ones that are on the right version i will instantly get kicked to the start screen again.

yeah once you get kicked to the start screen you should restart the game to be safe cause sometimes it breaks and won't let you join any server

Okay I found a bug. And was able to fix it.

Bug: My screen doesn't work when the game launches. It displays the message: "Out of reach".
It happens after the UE and AE logo load.

How to fix?:
Go to C:\Users\(your user)\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings
When you open GameUserSettings, change the resolution of your game to:
ResolutionSizeX=800 and ResolutionSizeY=600
I suggest to do change it in every place the resolution is mentioned to be extra sure. After that you can change your resolution from your game settings.

You press F11 on your laptop then when in that screen go into the game from right where you are and go into settings and click on resolution and set the resolution to your PCs recommendation and hit apply. Hope that helped!!

open the isle after new patch
black screen with cursor being the only visible thing
couldn't get out of game or press anything
could ctrl + alt + canc to get into activity management
my screen's resolution was wrong
i could see a fatal error screen that i cannot screenshot because my computer doesnt let me do anything
could close the fatal error (and game with it)
computer back to normal

It takes hour for me to scan for servers ingame. A simple relog takes approx 5 minutes for me. Some friends manage to do so in under a minute. Is there a solution for this?

For anyone having issues changing the keys, go to Appdata - Local - TheIsle - Saved - Config - WIndowsclient and open the Input file. You can change the keys over there. :)

It seems like Move backwards and move left is missing in the file.. The buttons i changed in the file aren't working in game apparently. So I guess we have to wait for them to fix it. Someone already reported it.

@hearty linden Do notice 'Shift' for sprinting should be called 'Left Shift'. After changing these in the input.ini i can also change them again ingame

@harsh yew just a thought is your button 'pressing' I.e. you get the click animation? My screen size and whatnot reset ar one point and to click anything I had to move slightly right of whatever I wanted to press. That resolved when changing screen size settings.

After downloading the recent patch now for evrima, when i go into the game there’s a black screen with “unreal engine” on it then it goes to the greetings islanders but it doesn’t let me click the I understand and play and the quality is a bit weird and sometimes it gives me a fatal error? Well I had same issue. Turns out the button wasnt where it was showing on my screen. I had to click like 2 inches right of it and it pressed. Then was able to change screen size to realign. Long shot but worth a punt

The fact your screen quality was a bit off was the clue. You should now be able to use settings to realign it all with correct screen size. It's a bit of a pain because you have to keep guessing where buttons are but you'll get there

I think a lot of us are getting that Khepri. There is a suggestion in the pinned document regarding setting post-processing, but it doesn't really help us navigate the files to find the setting. It is also for a problem that occurred before this update I believe. So I'm not sure if it is up to date.

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Anybody still seeing blurriness, setting my antialiasing method to FXAA as opposed to TAA, did the trick.

If the blurriness was not as strong, i'd prefer TAA as is looks quite smooth, albeit currently a little too smooth.

right click The Isle on steam, go to set launch options and type this -windowed mode @stone sable then launch your game. try this and let me know if it helps

if it continues to launch in windowed mode just delete the code you put into the start up box on steam. another way around it would be deleting your config but the other one is easier.

@vagrant oyster there has been an update on the graphics settings, fiddle around with the settings to see if it improves it. your resolution scale needs to be at 100 for the best clarity

you can do this in your settings. no need to navigate to a file.
