@lunar wedge download the vcruntime in #pinned-troubleshooting . Open the file, grab the ddl, and put it in Windows(C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/The Isle. if you did it correctly, The Isle should now open on command. (Sorry for all the pings.)

If the branches still are not visible you may need to clear your Steam download cache. To do this, click "Steam" in the upper left hand corner, settings, downloads, and then "Clear Steam download cache". It should restart steam where you'll have to log back in. (I still cant get the branch update)

if you cant find your installation folder:
right click on the isle in steam and click on properties.
Click on local files.
Click the highlighted button.
Drop the dll file in that folder that it opens.

I must say thank you for providing help, but I think I'm going to wait as all servers will be full as well as I'm unable to get the link for the .ddl on the PC as I don't have access to discord on it. I must say thank you for all the help, but I'll have to wait for now before I can join in the carnage. If there is a message on Steam regarding the. ddl link, please ping me and I'll find it.

Running the game as an administrator allowed me to join a server, to do this right click on the isle in steam, go to manage and then browse local files, then find the application called TheIsle, click it then right click it and select run game as administrator. This Allowed me to join a server.

So, I have reinstalled the game -- I have extracted .ddl into it with 7Zip -- I have verified game files -- I have run as admin and it still does not allow me to click the play button directly from the application itself when ran as admin, or in steam. I've done multiple steam and pc restarts and have a gaming rig capable of running this game. Any next steps working for us here yet?

Its definitely the game somehow causing the data acquisition error because I went in & personally gave the isle full permissions through windows & temporarily disabled firewall just to be sure. I am bummed out I was here for the release but could not even log on to my own server.

If the branches still are not visible you may need to clear your Steam download cache. To do this, click "Steam" in the upper left hand corner, settings, downloads, and then "Clear Steam download cache". It should restart steam where you'll have to log back in. (I still cant get the branch update)

if you cant find your installation folder:
right click on the isle in steam and click on properties.
Click on local files.
Click the highlighted button.
Drop the dll file in that folder that it opens.

So! I'm not getting fatal errors, but, whenever I try to join the official servers, it'll load for a second and then it'll throw me back in the menu screen with the welcome message.
After this happens, I get stuck on the server loading screen, anyone have any fixes for me? Would be appreciated :)

As for "Data Aquisition" issue, it's the fact everyone is spamming the servers, and the servers are doing their best to keep up. Try a server that has less people in it, or wait.

So, I did the whole file thing, I cleared my cache, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well, and I’m still not able to get into a server. Servers are having issues with memory leaks and having a whole load of people all trying to join different servers. If you are kicked from a server/booted out, reload the game.

restart the game
join a server with less than 50 people

if you get thrown back to main menu, you need to restart the game again and try diffrent server with less than 50 people

@lofty matrix same for me. Also the game force localization to my native language, even when I only use English anywhere. Only graphic options working in the settings, 3 out of 4 tabs not reacting on clicks. Anything else of these for you?

Bugs ive noticed: I get to the main screen of evrima but I cant switch bars of the settings so I can only change the quality of shadows, textures, etc. but I cant change anything else. and all the servers cannot be accessed and it shows a lock and shield on them and each time I try joining it just kicks me back to the main screen

insert does not open my progression tab. my insert and delete button are the same, because of the device i am using, when i played the isle pre-evrima for the first time on this device there was another button for it, I can't find this button and thus i am unable to open the progression bar. So, I have reinstalled the game -- I have extracted .ddl into it with 7Zip -- I have verified game files -- I have run as admin and it still does not allow me to click the play button directly from the application itself when ran as admin, or in steam. I've done multiple steam and pc restarts and have a gaming rig capable of running this game. Any next steps working for us here yet?

This isn't really a troubleshooting problem, Just the whole 'hey here's some bugs" to look at since the bug discussion is not for regulars I suppose, But I found holes in the polygons of the Utah model, and there's no call sounds (at least for Utah,), stam, food, or hunger. Ik things would be missing but I was just wondering since the content creators had at least those.

For anyone dealing with the "Fatal Error" message, uninstall The Isle, restart your PC, then reinstall The Isle

If you dont see the Evrima update, please be sure to go into steam > properties > The Isle > Properties > Betas > EVRIMA public branch

If your game is blurry, before going into a server, please go to your settings at the start up screen, set your render scale to 100%

Please consider EVIRMA is brand new and just out. Bugs are expected and that's why you report them.
@steep junco the servers are being bombarded by thousands of people and that's why it shows up. Your best bet is to wait or join a small server.
@flint rapids download the vcruntime in #pinned-troubleshooting . Open the file, grab the .dll, and put it in Windows(C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/The Isle. if you did it correctly, The Isle should now open on command.

Servers are seriously struggling, if you are stuck in "data acquisition in progress" you just need to be patient, restart your game, and hope for the best.

Hi All,

When changing the SETTINGS in the main menu, everything is Saved except "Resolution".
Does anyone know where the Config File is to manually set this resolution???

I have tried launch parameters:

-screen-width 3840 -screen-height 2160

But when the game starts up, it is still on 2560 x 1440

I have set render scale to 100% and it is NO LONGER BLURRY
But the issue is the Resolution keeps resetting itself to a smaller one.

Data Acquisition in progress happens when you try to join a server which has the 10 reserved left to fill, you will be kicked out to main menu and if you try again your game will simply get stuck on it.
The solution for the time being is not to try to join servers which are close to full, with full I mean (50/60 or 100/110 and so on). you will need to restart your game if the bug happens

PLEASE note that the Data Acquisition issue is NOT GOING ANYWHERE. The only POSSIBLE solution is to either try to join a server with a lower population count, or to WAIT. This issue is caused by the hundreds of players who are trying to connect to servers simultaneously. The servers cannot keep up with this many requests...

If the branches still are not visible you may need to clear your Steam download cache. To do this, click "Steam" in the upper left hand corner, settings, downloads, and then "Clear Steam download cache". It should restart steam where you'll have to log back in. (I still cant get the branch update)

if you cant find your installation folder:
right click on the isle in steam and click on properties.
Click on local files.
Click the highlighted button.
Drop the dll file in that folder that it opens.

If you are having trouble getting on a server try logging off the game and rejoin a server. If it kicked you back to the play screen, log off and try again. This worked for me

so i managed to get the game to launch with winrar and putting that file in the .dll like it was said in the pinned messages but now im at the server screen and when i click on any server it doesnt join. it just says dada acquistion in progress and just stays there or goes back to the menu where i have to press play and wait for the server list to re populate?

Um , hello. Hate to bother and dont know if posting here will help,but its 8:00pm where I'm at and steam is showing no update available for The Isle. Legacy is still available to play tho. @late rock download the vcruntime in #pinned-troubleshooting . Open the file, grab the .dll, and put it in Windows(C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/The Isle. if you did it correctly, The Isle should now open on command.

Hi again all,

So my issue is regarding the "Resolution" Setting.
I have been able to save all Settings permanently except Resolution.
It defaults to 2560x1440 , my screen is 3840x2160 at its standard.
This occurs even just after clicking Save, going to the menu, then back to settings.

Troubleshooting:
◘ Obviously did the updates in settings to try fix the blurry issue, but the resolution does not save.
◘ Tried launch steam parameters, this failed.
◘ Tried update a file called " GameUserSettings " in:
R:\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(This failed)
◘ I am not sure if I updated the right value.

FOR EVERYONE HAVING DATA ACQUISITION MESSAGE SCREEN

Restart your game every time you get that message.
Try joining servers with less people after restarting game.
Don't try to join servers with 50/60 or 100/110 players.

Are all the servers having a lock on it a glitch. I try to join and it boots me to the main menu. I try again then it starts to infinitly load trying to enter the server. Otherwise I think it might just be too many people trying to join one server.

Hm, the Isle finished updating. Hit play, it says "launching," nothing happens and the play button turns green again.

Uninstalled, restarted my PC, reinstalling now. Hope it works.

You need to install the .dll file, then put it in The Isle files, then you need to Verify the Files of The Isle, play a server, if the server kicks you do the same thing. Hope you!
