Cerato's thing is that they can eat rotten flesh and they won't be penalized for eating other Ceratosaurus.
Carno's bite damage is greater the faster it's going - It also bleeds more.
I think he mentioned Trike having some sort of charge, where if you're in the way you're absolutely fucked, but that was mostly the chat talking and speculating, I think.

maybe it's just that cerato is being built to be a bully
to push you away from your food
or just to push you away from bones he wants to eat
rather than be a quick, swift scavenger that is built to run in, steal some food then retreat
plus the possibility of being more resistant could be helpful when you're a cerato, you're slow, push some utahs aside and then they start biting you as you eat
that resistance could give you an advantage because the first 2 or 3 bites will be only scratches, enough for you to react, stop eating, turn around and either attack or walk away
