Most people can play it some may have issues with updates that's just the way it goes. You need to make sure you fully clean your directories/registry and try re-install it.

Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.

Also as a side note aside from the hacker we currently have.. Another thing is: Spectate bugs, some names dont show in spectate with nametags on, you sometimes get stuck in a loop or cannot move at all, and possibly some others that need reworking.

So im having a problem with the server filters. The filters dont work so i always have to search for the server I want and it takes forever, so instead i use the server list method in steam. But now with the new legacy patch only 3 servers show up in the server list and i dont know what to do to fix it. Any suggestions?

Im trying this right now myself;
Right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > browse local files.
It should open up your Isle folder.
At the very top of the file path click "common"
It takes you back to a folder list of all your Steam games.
Keep that open, we'll go back to that in a moment. Now right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > uninstall game. After it's uninstalled you'll need to go back to that list of game folders and delete "The Isle" folder. That way there is no trace of The Isle, so when you reinstall the game it doesn't re-use any corrupted content that would normally remain after a normal uninstall.

I finally got around my issue with the fatal error line 893. What worked for me was browsing the local files for The Isle, going to the common folder (should see folders for all of your steam games here) and deleting the one for The Isle. I then uninstalled through steam and re-installed. I hope that this gets it working for others like it did me.

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.

At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.

What to do? After that, the "Legacy Maintenance" update doesn't start the game

Problems found in replays so far;
- Perpetual twilight. No matter where I skip to in the timeline or how long I let the replay run after the end of the timeline, the lighting condition does not change and remains the same as it was at the beginning of the replay. Water, foliage, and clouds still move as normal, though (even when sped up) (fixed kinda by letting the replay run from the beginning until desired lighting condition is met, then wherever you skip to in the timeline after that will retain the same lighting)
- If the replay speed is up high dinos will freeze in place when you skip to a spot in the timeline; fixed by lowering it back to 1
- Dinos no longer moonwalk! They drift a little bit when they turn but they now run in the right direction instead of running backwards
- Big one which makes moderating servers difficult: Replays no longer display player names and Steam ID's in the Focus field. That field is now blank

There's literallt 5000 of these chinese servers that are packed to the near limit and I can't find any normal servers, also all these chinese servers have the same IP address :s

Heya! I have an issue that I have no idea how to fix.
In the legacy branch, none of my keybinds seem to be working. It was triggered after I reset the controls, then clicked apply.
Any key that I click in the game does not trigger anything now, and in order to exit the game I have to tab out and force-close. I can still click on things / search for servers in the main menu, but as soon as I join a server and pick a dino, I cannot do anything.
I tried re-installing, doing a full wipe, switching my branches (I do not have this issue in evrima), rebooting my PC, verifying my files- nothing has worked.
Does anybody know why this is happening / what I can do about it?
This issue only occurred after the most recent update. I've never struggled with this before.

I have tried updating the game by restarting the batch file to check for updates along with doing a fresh install with no luck. It keeps showing 1.53.3 for version. I also tried what i found on steam with no luck. This is for my server not my client and on a windows pc.

Cannot seem to connect to select servers. Nycta and LFAW for example. I can find other servers just not a specific ones. Not sure if this is due to the updates or a personal issue because I have tried uninstalling and re-installing my game, validating files, and setting max ping lower. If anyone has a fix for this please let me know unless it is just due to the recent updates. I put this in the wrong place originally

So I've already uninstalled the isle completely off my system . It still won't open for me........ I'm validating my files now. It takes to much internet data for me to keep uninstalling and installing again...

Anyone else having issues with no admin vision? The delete button doesn't activate it anymore, and there's no option to bind admin vision in Settings. Does it have a different name now?

Heyo, guys. I am having an issue with the game after the update. I used to be able to play the game on Epic settings on everything with ease, now the game is freezing randomly and often with log periods of time, and my PC feels like dying on medium to low graphics.. Game is barely stable after the update. It also takes 10x the time to log in anywhere. Sometimes I would freeze on the menus too for some time. Can I fix this and how?

my trouble from 6 hours ago and has not been fixed so i will be redownloading the isle . if you are wondering what my prblem is then here. i had the 'no servers found' thing so i tried the max ping, didnt work so i rebooted my compute and had some troubs doing that, i loaded up the isle and didnt see any servers i recopgnised so i was thinking maybe im on the old servers list , i didnt fix it so i had to got o school i come back and it is the same so i am redownloading the isle hoping, god hoping it will fix it .

scent is only partially working on a private hosted server on thenyaw, doesn't display the compass but does display bodies of water and footprints (but if they're far away they're barely visible through the fog) nevermind i derp'd and had the HUD hidden, scent still works just fine
it doesn't recognize me as an administrator so i can't change the time to see different lighting conditions

Messing around with the replays some more;
- In-game the maps are dead silent except for critter noises (birds, frogs around water) and water sounds (running rivers and geysers). General ambience, the sound of wind or trees rustling, doesn't play either in-game or in replays
- Names and Steam ID's still aren't displayed in the Focus field. Now it says "Can't find character / N/A"
The day/night cycle on Thenyaw progresses normally in replays and the lighting condition changes to the correct time of day wherever you skip to in the timeline. V3 however now stays as whatever lighting condition it is at the beginning of the replayDay/night cycle on both maps progresses normally now even with timeline skipping, I was just looking at replays from before the update- Dinos don't moonwalk anymore and run in the right direction, but they still do get stuck in the eating/drinking animations until the next time they sniff or attack
adding to the above, i'm still hearing nighttime critter ambience when the lighting looks like this
in replays though it's playing the day bird ambience

Trikes, shants, camaras and maybe other dinos can't do damage while turning, especially trikes and shants, turning on Z, hitting, but no dmg
Also the hitboxes are still broken, trike can't hit spino in the head, for example
Left hit for rex and giga still working, but not for trike. Theri hits once, when doing 3 hits with it's claws. Also the trike got dumb Evrima animations with broken hind legs
