#🔧-legacy-troubleshooting-🔧
1 messages · Page 40 of 1
So I posted a thread in steam and hopefully someone can help...I am unable to access the USA official servers. I tried to using the button to filter them in the server search. It says no servers available.
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
so I see the EU official servers but doesn't show the USA servers
i even scrolled thru the server list
There's nothing to scroll through; check the Official tab
ok
now it says no servers found again
the EU official servers pop up every so many refreshes...not every time
Follow the instructions as posted above
i did
Play with the ping settings.
i have my ping setting set at 5000
"Play" with the ping settings
ok
thought higher number would still be fine...
1 sec
i found it...thank you for your patience
Glad to hear it; welcome aboard captain!
I've played for almost 1 month...never new the official servers existed lol
Every time I press refresh there are different servers and a different number of them.
Why aren't all the servers showing up in the first place? I hear people talk about servers that I never even get to see pop up
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
All has to do with your ping.
Hey, my friends are trying to join a server but can't find it?
Please help!!! Is there anyway I can reduce lag on this game? I tried lowering all of my settings but that doesnt work and im not exactly a computer expert so i cant really find any other way.

Your actual processor is below the minimum requirements, so if lowering the settings still hasn’t worked; your computer is more than likely maxing itself out
You’d have to upgrade it
Does battery % affect anything?
Only how long your computer can stay on, doesn't affect your lag.
rip
Arw you still playing in a 1080p resolution? @midnight venture
I litteraly have no idea
lemme see
Lowering that will yield far better perfomance for lower end specs
my resolution is 1024x768
I see, its already quite low as it is :/
and then everything else is on low besides view distance, thats on medium
I really only get bad lag during like community events
my fps will go down to like 3 fps
its really upsetting :c
Does render scale, fps limit, smooth fps or vsync have anything to do with it
Do you have smooth fps checked on?
Yes
Turn it off
It will just put a limit to the amount of fps you can have
60max if you put 60 etc
0 is no limit
Ohh
I keep getting "Kicked from Server: Host closed connection" errors all the time. Started about 2 days ago the game has worked fine prior to that. I've tried reinstalling both steam and the game removing all files as well, flushing dns, giving new firewall exlusions, turning of firewall and antivirus, resetting router, changing max ping, all driver and windows updates are up to date and ive tried all of the usual options more or less. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Open your Steam client; on the top left click on "View" then go down to Servers; filter the game for The Isle and see if any servers pop up
Yeah 435 servers popped up
Something is blocking your game.exe from accessing the internet
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot that thing? Or should I just contact an IT company to do it for me
Go through your programs that control your internet access and make sure that there's an exclusion. Set the whole folder for the isle as an exclusion
Not just the normal .exe, Adie should put the other shipping.exe in the exclusion too
Added yet another exlusion for the whole map in both firewall and windows defend ( I dont have external programs ). It worked for about 2 minutes then I got kicked again 🤔
Oh snap; I read your entire issue wrong; i thought no servers were appearing
Open File Explorer from the taskbar of your computer
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
my isle is still having issues with the title screen videos not showing up, the loading in background, and the electrocardiogram when you die. they're all absent. i've reinstalled, verified game cache, deleted all the files then reinstalled, everything. nothing still. i don't know what to do now. is there anything else i could do?

do you think this issue i'm having could be resolved in the recode?
Worked for about 2 minutes again, then I got kicked with the same error message
Multiple people are having issues where no servers are showing up it’s probably a steam issue
no isle servers are showing
Darn, any idea on a timeline for a fix?
Considering it’s a steam issue and not an isle issue there’s probably no ETA
Yeah I just didn’t know if steam put something out
Steam currently seems to be down, you will have to wait until Steam is back up and running normally again
When will that be?
I'm not sure, you can check online to see the status of Steam.
some servers don't show up for my friend and when they try to join my game via steam it puts them on a completely different server
Has you friend tried lowering their max ping/minute on steam? By this I mean going into your steam settings, click on In-game and lower the max rate to around 1000
Going to try that ^ myself... Thanks @mild garnet
Are the Steam servers down again? Trying to work out if that is why I'm having issues, or just my poor internet connection...
Steam should be up now
Is there anyone that can help me out? when i try to join a certain server it says "Package Missing" I have done all that i know of that i can do to fix this issue. I have even reinstalled the game. i tried to join after fresh install and i still get the "Package Missing" message. This has not come up in any other server i have tried and google also hasn't helped in resolving the issue. If anyone has any input to help try to figure this out i would greatly appreciate it. P.S. This server does Not have any mods and its a very active server.
run steam as an admin, run the isle, or update your drivers ^
Need help finding a fix for the character and color selection screens freezing up. Its the only 2 places I freeze up on badly besides loading into the world. The rest of the game runs at 60fps or better.

Goto the settings screen on the main menu
Goto the audio settings area
Set audio quality to Low
Lower all audio sliders to 0%
Apply settings
Join and play on servers normally
Once fully in game, redo your audio settings
I'll try that, thank you.
Last question is do I need to repeat this for every time I need to join a server?
Seems to freeze the game up when I'm fully in game redoing the audio settings after clicking "Apply"
Yes because you have an AMD processor
Yeah, figured that was the biggest issue. Hopefully either I will get a new processor soon or they will fix it with the update.
Something with the version of unreal engine that doesn't exactly like AMD processors
It might be fixed with the recode if unreal has fixed it; the game is on an entirely new update of unreal engine
Let's hope lol. Thank you for your time
no problem ^_^
My game keeps telling me to build and run an uncooked version after downloading it from steam.
@fallow flax
My scent isn't working anymore, when I press the A button, the animation is happening but nothing after, what should I do? 🙂
This has nothing to do with the game but if i click on tab nvidia says i got an update and when i go into nvidia experience it says i am up to date
So every time i try to load into a server, i get sent to other servers and not that one, its been a half hour, the server isnt full (89/150) and im getting really angry at it
Can anyone help me? Ive been at thid for 50 minutes now
Ive closed out steam 4 times (in task manager) and still no avail
Its been an hour ive been at this
Someone please help
What do you mean you get sent to other servers?
I need some help https://gyazo.com/d7d5c2a7a794c708cb6f151bd1f52d8c
Unable to find Isla Nycta server and can't director connect..
Ping me if you have any solutions, tried to command prompt thing.
@honest river try this:
Has you friend tried lowering their max ping/minute on steam? By this I mean going into your steam settings, click on In-game and lower the max rate to around 1000
Hey My friend got the game and got this message and they updated it but it’s still not working and don’t really know who else to ask.
Is that pop up from the game?
Yeah it pops up when they try to open the game but they already updated the graphics card
Oh it’s an old driver it looks like
Did they use GeForce experience or from the website?
Let me ask
If they haven’t yet they should restart the pc as well.
Ok, they said they did it from the website should they try to download it from the GeForce thing?
Did they use the auto detect tool on the website?
If they already have the geforce experience installed it’s easier to use that
Alright
436.48 is the newest
Okay I’ll have them try downloading the GeForce
@scarlet chasm Tried that.
How about we start with him posting his pc specs using this link so we know what's going on. Because if he can't update it; that means his gpu is so out of date and below minimum requirements.
I still need help with searching servers. Other "official severs" are fine when we first started up the game. But when I search my server, it doesnt pop up.
Basically the search thing is like broken..?
It is basically like this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/376210/discussions/17/1621726179561742718/
@amber tide May know more
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library.
If your server is the only thing that's not popping up then I can't help you as it sounds like an issue with the way you're hosting it. Also if you're running your own server from your computer; I don't think you can join it yourself. you'd have to get a dedicated host
Thanks for the new solution, I will try it out.
game has super low frame rate this hasnt happened before and i dont know what to do
its becoming unplayable

oh wow thats a lot of text sorry
Don't apologize, that's what we ask for!
Your GPU's driver seems awfully out of date
Though your system as a whole is below the minimum requirements for the game
oh O,O i got it from a friend but it runs the game fine usually
i dont have a problem at all with it its just today its refusing and the frame rate is bad
been playing it for a while but only recently had this issue
Updating the driver might help
im gonna sound silly but do you know how i can do it 🙂
He doesn’t have nvidia...
i do have nvida but it wont show up for some reason
Oops I saw the first line my bad
also im a girl XD
Sorry Casper
XD its cool
Still you can download the driver with the link I sent, then install it and restart your computer
awesome sauce thank you so much 🙂 ill have to leave it after and play tomorrow (woe is me) XD
The game isn’t using the nvidia; they have to give it priority and update it. You also have to put every setting on low. And since your whole laptop is below the minimum requirements, it doesn’t matter if it works today; it can randomly stop working at any point in time because it’s under the minimum
ill keep that in mind also game works better now i have updated drivers 🙂 thank you
Dont know if this is the correct place to put this but i just bought the game, but cant seem to find any official us servers, when i type official into the search bar, only official qa testing pops up. when i search for official us nothing pops up at all. What do i need to do?
First, try going to Steam (top left corner) > Settings
Follow this photo
You'll possibly have to change your max ping to 1000, then restart your game and see if that works.
That did thanks so much! But why does this work? Was my computer just looking for servers with better connections or something so i had to lower the bar?
That was likely, it was probably searching at a different ping level than the servers you wanted were on. If you need anymore help don't be afraid to ask! Glad it helped 😄
I surely will, thanks again!
Then go to the server chat that you're stuck in; and use the official server admin tag
I don't think it only happened to The Isle, but my other game (like Destiny 2) also get crash even it runs smooth and fine. How to fix it? ;-;
We'd need more information other than "it crashes"
And if other games crash as well; it's probably your computer
Did you read the message? It tells you what to do!
I noticed, but showed in here in case xdd
Verify integrety on all the games you are experiencing this
Thank you!
Its crashed again ><
Can you post the actual thing that's happening with The isle
Don't post something from a different game
Follow the below steps and post your pc specs
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba
Hey guys, Im having trouble with the game, just really confused as when I go on the settings and controls, I dont have a scent key or option?
Open File Explorer from the taskbar of your computer
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
I was going to attack a herbivore for food, then my game got really laggy.
Game crashed
Is your computer up to the minimum requirements to run the game?

You're using a computer with integrated graphics?
idk
What you can try doing is verifying your games files, or doing a fresh install of the game. Since your computer is below minimum required specs it's likely your computer cannot run it.
seems strange
im gonna verify then if that does not work im gonna reinstall the game
Okay, do you know how to verify them?
yeah in properties right?
Right click The Isle > Properties > Local files > Click on verify integrity of game files
Restart steam and your computer, then launch the game to see if that helped
ok also shouldn't their be more files in the game folder?
I'm not sure, I haven't looked at my files for The Isle in ages
I feel like their should be more files for this game it seems weird
I'm able to run ark Skyrim and crap with altered settings though
Unless all the utilities and stuff are online based?
That's normal, most of what constitutes The Isle is contained in a .pak file.
^
Ah mk
Have you relaunched the game to see if it worked?
And what's uncooked? Also PC still warning up
You do need Direct X 11 to run the game, and a GPU that is compatible with Direct X 11
If you don't have either you'll likely get an uncooked error
im pretty sure i have dirext x 11
Perhaps we can double check, if you can press and hold down your windows key and R button at the same time. This will bring up a Run dialog box, in the box type in "dxdiag" and hit OK. What this will do is give you a list of your system specs, at the bottom of the listen you should see DirectX Version, tell me what that says
i have dirext x 12??????
oh
never mind about that
yeah i have direcy x 12
wait could my second moniture be taking something up?
Your CPU and GPU are 6th gen, which don't support dx11 specifically. dx12 is stock with Win10.
^ Yeah, exactly. You can possibly try restarting your computer but since your specs are way below minimum, it may not run.
You can possibly squeeze past the GPU problem if you have a dedicated chip on top of an integrated chip but your diag doesn't seem to indicate one.
im using a laptop btw
so i cant just change settings like in ark space engineers and etc games
Some laptops come with dual-GPUs, one integrated (usually IntelHD) and a dedicated one of NVIDIA/Radeon make; you can use built in software to swap between them if you have them. If you don't have a dual-GPU I'm afraid you will be stuck.
io guess mine doesnt?
It doesn't look like it
also tired bot stil lsame error
welp i got excited about the game for nothing
back to be a dino in ark survival. well thanks for the help
I'm sorry :( Perhaps upgrading to a computer with the recommended specs could be possible at some point. I'm glad I could help at least a bit!
i fucked around now all i need is Dx11 feature level 10.0 is required
@glacial oxide go on steam, go to'steam' on the top left, then to settings and then to 'in game' (or something similar, idk how exactly it is called in english) and change the max pings per minute (try both higher and lower pings)
that might help
also using the steam server search (view on the top left and then 'servers') might help, you can also set favourite servers and you can find them more easily and direct connect to them
Official servers will not appear for me in the isle. Can anyone help?
It was set to 5000, moving on to the next solution
Still isn't working.
I've had this issue in the past, it seems to only be on this network.
I need some configuring help I'm using directx 11 emulator and i changed it to 10.0 and still having issues*
Your computer is below the minimum requirements to play
You can't just use a emulator to make it work
alight so i waisted my money ok
That's why you need to look at minimum requirements before you buy a game. That's why they're posted on the steam page
Just refund it if you're worried about it bro. They'll refund it as long as you have less than 2 hours and have had it for less than 2 weeks I'm pretty sure.
@lucid cliff
i wanna keep it bc it looks really good just gotta save up money for a new pc
i for some reason, suddenly cant find all US servers
never happend to me, i have everything unchecked, restarted the game etc buuuut

oomf oh right i havent tried that yet
I need help
What do you need help with?
i seem to have a major crash, i play between 5 mins to 1 hour and then i go black screen. i can still hear the isle ambient music but i have to reset my whole machine.
Not getting any error message only a black screen? @honest river

I see there's a newer driver version for your GPU, perhaps you could try updating it and see if it still happens
is there any reason eu servers arn't showing up on my lists only us? i'm trying to find eu official servers but they won't show up
No server found solution :
At the top left of Steam you’ll see a little button labeled “Steam”, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle. @lime tusk
@pale pike I will try to update I thought maybe with the rtx 2060 super maybe the graphics is to much
I just wanna know if someone can try to help me real quick.
So, basically, something happened with my speakers that makes me unable to hear any sounds that are behind me (A Dino broadcasting for instance). I’ve tried looking up what it could be online and haven’t found anything
You can’t really hear behind you in game as it’s an odd bug until you rotate the camera
I only bring it up @scarlet chasm because it a pretty recent bug
Never experienced it for over a year
And then it just happened
Are you using surround sound, or stereo
As magictrevor said, you won't really hear anything until you rotate your camera
I ought to check that
Idk which setting my speakers are on
Would it be caused by using surround sound on a setup that doesn’t really support it?
Hey guys, bit of a problem, everytime I try to log into the Isla Nycta server, it keeps plopping me back out and saying cannot connect to host. I've tried netsh websock reset, I've updated graphics drivers, I've tried everything.
My menu's lag a lot. everything after the server select screen and my in game pause menu have horrible choppy framerate.
Do you have an AMD processor
Yes.
Goto the settings screen on the main menu
Goto the audio settings area
Set audio quality to Low
Lower all audio sliders to 0%
Apply settings
Join and play on servers normally
Once fully in game, redo your audio settings
Will this need to be done every time?
Everytime you go to create a character; yes
It's because you have an AMD processor
The version of Unreal that the game is on; doesn't like AMD
I've looked through the pinned messages and have tried everything, has anyone found a work around for the host connection closed problems?

I'd suggest you take the computer back if you just bought it
Otherwise you're gonna have to upgrade to a dedicated gpu
You can't play the isle with that computer
what about it makes it so i cannot play the isle?
You're lacking a graphic card.
huh
Your computer uses the integrated video chip of your processor, which the game doesn't run well with
Your computer is just a regular computer; it's not made to play games
You need a dedicated graphics card to play intense games
Your computer can play basic games only
what sort of graphics card would you recommend?
I've still got my laptop which runs the isle fairly well but the screen broke and I've gotta use a monitor to play it and its a hassle thats why i bought the desktop
thank you

Does anyone know why Im gettng 45-50 fps?
So Ive tried to look this up and find a answer, but I haven't found anything that's been helpful. I rebuilt my system recently so that I could play this game. I kept adding newer and better parts but for whatever reason, by fps wasn't getting better. I made sure that the in game smooth fps was turned off, but it wasn't going much above 50 fps. Obviously that's frustrating and disappointing, especially when my husband is playing the game right beside me, with better fps, on a computer with parts that are worse than mine. We started to switch my computer parts out for his computer parts, trying to find the problem. Nothing made a difference, until we switched hard drives. With my hard drive in his computer, the game ran with the low fps. So I wiped my hard drive and started over, the game ran with 80-110 fps. Then I installed msi afterburner and my fps dropped again. I uninstalled msi, but it wouldn't go back. I went trough my hard drive removing all traces of it, but to no avail. I uninstalled the isle and reinstalled it, that didn't fix it. So I wiped my hard drive for a second time. After the second wipe, the game ran perfectly again. So I stayed away from msi afterburner. I only install basic, non game related stuff. Checked the game and it was still running with great fps. Got busy with life and didn't play for a while. Launched it maybe a week and a half later and the fps had dropped back to 40-50s. I haven't a clue why.
Are you using a hard drive or ssd?
@exotic birch Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
so itll always happen unless i do that?
It's a desync issue with your connection
So you can't exactly say "it'll always happen"
where is cmd on the keyboard
Reread the instructions bud
There's no such thing as "cmd" on a keyboard
"on your windows search through your computer. "
ok ok
ok i did all that and lets see
im going to save that iin our dms in case
but um
that didnt work
im almost gonna grow
if i can grow and it is working thats good
but if it doesnt and i still die from hunger and thirst will i get that back or do i ahve to regrow
hello im having a problem with the isle it syas i need "directx 11 feature 10.0 is required to run the engine" and I've tried to set launch settings to "-dx11" but that isn't working either also my directx is 12 should't it downgrade to 11 to run?
<@&505047238674874368>
There's an error with your directX install, go to Microsoft's site and do the three R's: redownload, reinstall and reboot.
It also doesn't hurt to check your GPUs drivers are up to date.

@pale pike
how do i fix this?
either you GPU is not properly installed in or is missing major drivers updates
my brother did say install latest drivers when i upgraded to it but windows isnt allowing me to
ok
Go to AMD website and they will have the drivers you need
it says "error 175-AMD installer cannot continue due to unsupported AMD graphics hardware
Your gpu isn't installed correctly.
Unplug your computer from the power source and check that everything is connected tightly
ok
Ya I do have a ssd, sorry.
This is a steam issue, but I cant be signed into Steam for more then 10 minutes without it signing me out and me having to sign back in. Can you help me with this? I dont want to attempt any of the fixes only cuz I'm afraid to mess something up. I dont even know if thier fixes will fix my issue.
Could be a software that is interferring with Steam, such as an anti virus or firewall for exemple @visual temple
Try adding the steam.exe as an exclusion to either one, if you have any, and then restart steam as administrator
Is there an email for game support or help?
@umbral forum this channel is it... Your graphics settings aren't on Cinematic right? Your pc specs look good. Could be if you have extra game overlays (steam, discord, nvidia, windows game center, etc). Make sure you have the newest drivers as well.
One of the other admins might have a better idea then I do though.
The settings are at epic but thats what they were at when it was running at 80-110fps and when I drop them the fps doesnt really change all that much.
I dont know anything about game overlays, but I do have the newest drivers
Would game overlays be applied if I didnt apply them myself?
I looked into nvidia and it did have a overlay on. I turned it off and launched the game, chose a random server with only one other player and my fps was 35-40. I dont think it was because I took the overlay off, it just drops even lower sometimes.
I didnt know that discord had overlays, but I just recently downloaded it onto my computer and the problem had been going on since July.
I just removed the steam over lay and launched the game. On the same server, my fps 45-50.
And you said you had vsync off and smooth fps off? and FPS limit im assuming is 0?
That is correct
Which graphics card is it again?
evga rtx 2070
Hmm, 80fps should be normal for that one, I also have an RTX 2070
same
Actually I take that back slightly, what resolution do you play at?
let me check the game real quick
3840 x 2160
Ive tried dropping it but the game doesnt like it when I do. It wont go full screen
That is higher on the card, I usually play between 1080 and 1440
That's pretty high, I think higher than what I run it at. Might be affecting your framerate
80fps is about normal for me, maybe going down into the 60's depending on which part of the map I'm on
Ive tried multiple card including reference 5700 xt (my husbands card with the drivers) and he also runs at that resolution and gets 80 plus fps
I can try dropping the resolution again, but thats the resolution for my monitor
He has also tried my card in his computer and it didnt drop his fps.
Your monitor's max resolution won't impact its ability to play at a lower setting
But the higher your resolution is the harder your graphics card has to work
Regardless of what the monitor can put out
This sounds like one of those things where you may have to choose if you want high resolution or high framerate
I just changed the ingame resolution to 1440 in windowed mode and the fps didnt change at all. Would you like for me to try 1080?
My husband can run the game just fine at the same resolution at 80fps, but if I switch our ssds the game runs at the lower fps, the same that I get in my computer. Thats with all the necessary driver installed. So I dont think its a hardwear issue.
This is a dumb question but do you have a framerate cap in place anywhere?
When I wipe my ssd the game runs great, but drops by half after about a week. Are there any programs you know of that conflicts with the game? The only place I know that has a cap is in the game. Where else should I check?
Might be something in the nvidia control panel maybe?
But that sounds pretty unusual
Have you had that problem with any game besides this one?
nope
I'm not 100% convinced it's the drive, that shouldn't be affecting framerates at all
I cant find anything that would cap on nvidia
Are you using G-sync or V-sync? Is your monitor capping your refresh rate?
what is G-sync or V-sync? Ill go the my monitor to check real quick
V-sync would be an ingame setting that will match your framerate cap to your refresh rate
V-sync is uncheck in the game
G-sync is a feature some monitors have that will try to solve the same problem (screen tearing and similar graphical imperfections), but it synchronizes your refresh rate to your framerate instead
A lot of monitors with super high resolution capabilities tend to lower their refresh rates as the resolution goes up
So it might show 1080p at 120Hz, but it might only show 4k at 30Hz
My monitor has something called free sync and its off. ill check for super high thing
super resolution is off
Free-sync is just the AMD equivalent of G-sync, G-sync is nvidia
If you go into your monitor settings can you see what the refresh rate is?
60Hz
Oh
Well if that's the case the 80fps you had before didn't really mean much then
You could have 200fps but if your refresh rate is only 60Hz, you won't be getting more than 60 frames displayed per second
Ok that good to know, but Im not getting 60 fps. I normally get 40 fps, even if I drop the resolution. And I dont understand why I was getting 80-100 and now I cant get above 50, when the only thing I have change is installing basic programs on my ssd. I haven't messed with any hardware.
I would be content with 60 at this point even if its frustrating that my husband can run the game on his computer with my graphic card and get 80+. He can even put his ssd into my computer, install the drivers form my card and run the game at 80+ in my computer. The only difference being our ssds.
Hmm
I'm still not convinced that would cause the issue though, especially if it's the only game that's suffering
True if it was an nvidia setting it would affect all of them
But my ssd runs it fine for a while.
I have run it 80+ with all the same hardware
then it tanks
You could double check the nvidia control panel as you can select global or specific to the game. Maybe something was set for the isle specifically?
Have you tried monitoring the temperature of your graphics card?
If it's overheating, it will dial itself back automatically to keep it from being damaged
Then again if it's working in the other computer just fine I suppose it shouldn't be an issue with the GPU specifically
Yeah sounds more like a software setting
I dont have any hardware monitoring programs on my computer. I used to have msi afterburner but after I installed it the fps on the isle tanked. I looked it up and other people had the same problem, so I unistalled it but it wouldnt go back up. So I had to wipe my ssd then it went back up again, for a while, before it tanked again.
Interesting
I dont know where to look in geforce experience for that
What's your CPU?
i3-9100
... Ah. That might be our bottleneck
but if my husband puts his ssd in my computer the game runs fine at 80+
Some games are more GPU-intensive, and don't rely on the CPU as much. Others are more CPU-intensive. This might explain why some games aren't affected, it would likely also explain why Afterburner was causing additional stutter for you
I had a failing SSD a few months ago, it definitely caused occasional micro-freezes (and also interrupted my internet connection) while playing games
It didn't cause consistent frame drops though
If you're sure it's the SSD I would try replacing it. You might even be right
That's getting more into an area that I'm not as sure about though
i5-7400 is what my husband has and if i put my ssd in his computer with proper drivers the game doesn't run right. I guess I just dont understand why it works fine for a while and it works fine with other games. But Ill keep trying to figure it out and if I do, Ill let you know. I hope I dont have to switch to another ssd 😦 Thank you for your help
I'm sorry I can't give you more specific advice
But I do mean it, if you feel like it's the SSD you should try to replace it
Fortunately depending which type of drive you're using they're not that expensive to replace nowadays
Yeah I think it’s been isolated to the ssd, either a setting (not likely at this point) or the ssd itself is starting to have issues which would explain why overtime it has degraded as it’s possible specific areas of memory are corrupted which the isle happens to be located in
Ya I was afraid of it being my ssd. I have a small m.2 ssd that I’m going to install and put the game on and see if that makes a difference. Thank you both again for you help. If I find anything weird I’ll update
Sure, please do. Best of luck with it
I'm getting 100+ fps on the M.2..... I built so much more expensively than necessary trying to get the fps up... and it was my ssd the whole time!!!!!! Im happy and so mad at the same time! I would have never guessed it was the ssd itself because Ive had no other issues with it. Im very happy the game is running how I want it to now.
Very happy. Thank you again
That's awesome news!
Yes, I’m so happy!!
i have a problem i was a trex and walking at a hillside then i dropped a bit cause it was to steep to walk there and i broke a Feet but suddendly after the foot was brooken the trex just bounced off again and died of fall damage could i get my progress of like nearly a adult trex somehow back without playing the hole 6 hours (i think)?
Unfortunately that is part of the game. Accidents happen and you need to be careful of your footing. Sorry to hear you lost your rex
ok i have a friend that when she joins it freezes on her on the giga, and now the dilo, and completely freezes up her computer she has the recommended setup
when joining servers

Your spec is definitely not the issue
If I may chip in, were you by chance crouching in the water at any point?
Hmm reset your configs by doing this :
Type %localappdata% in your taskbar searchbox and press enter. A new window should have appeared, in which you will scroll down and find the folder The Isle.
Inside of The Isle there is a saved folder that you will have to delete
There's some weird spontaneous bug where sometimes crouching in the water causes the screen to change colour.
And just in case the game is having those weird visuals glitch because of your integrated video card, go into your Nvidia control panel and set the GPU priority to your 2080 @paper kite
I keep getting the message "Kicked from server : Host closed connection" after connecting to a server for a moment. I've tried multiple fixes I found on-line, and have updated my drivers, can't seem to figure it out.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer.
After the reboot, launch steam as Administrator and see if the issue persist
@outer aurora
@pale pike Did that just now, no dice.
Has the game been added to your firewall/antivirus exclusion list?
It is currently Allowed to the public
okay so I will have you change your steam server connection to the second nearest server and see if it improves.
you will have to go in Steam , in the upper left corner Steam>Settings > Downloads
in that Downloads tabs you will have to change the ''download region'' into either the option below or above your currently selected server
By default steam has it set to the nearest server, the other option below and above are the second nearest to you, shouldnt have much impact on your game
Scratch that, choose the one below, upon looking I realised toronto is definitely closer to me than edmonton
That worked, thanks for the help Mr. Paco. yeah I knew which one to pick as well 🙂
Happy to help and glad it worked!
@pale pike Nvm, I played for 5 minutes and now its back 😂
Well something is messing with your connection to the game, could be because you have a web browser open or other kind of software that uses your internet, I would look in your task manager to see what's running in the background and look for a culprit by trial and error, not really sure what other solution there is for you to try
So weird it pops up now. Have over 300 hours.
And tomorrow you might stop getting this issue, it come and goes
Hopefully that is something that the recode will address perhaps
idk where to post this but all my requirement meet and loading the game up it says my pc doesnt meet the min system requirements

Your computer is below the minimum requirements as the message tells you
Also you need to give priority to your nvidia
Up to you.
You’d still be able to play, you just need to lower settings and give priority to your nvidia
If you want to try to get a refund then contact steam support
2 physical core, you sure it would?
how do i give priorty to my nvidia? sorry still a bit new to the pc world
Go into your nvidia settings and it’ll be an option to give it priority over the dedicated gpu
its just weid cuz even on med settings i had no frame drops no issues nothing. i was only curious to why it said that i was below requirments
Only your CPU is below, need a quad core instead of a duo
Like Paco said, your processor only has two cores when the minimum is 4. Missing two cores is a big thing as that’s your computer power
ok im back i have the system info for my friend that has the freezes and crashes her comp

its crashing on loading onto a server, with a preexisting dino on the that server
Read the above message
ok weve been thru that and still having the same issue
Is your friend using all three monitors even when playing the isle? A 2g 960 gtx may perhaps struggle powering all three with the isle running
@pale pike i have a quad core idk why its saying i dont i have the amd ryzan 5 2400 with radeon vega graphics 3.6 ghz
Nope, you have 2 cores
You have 4 logical processors
But you only have 2 physical cores
your physical cores are hyper threading to try to do the work of 4 cores; but for the minimum requirements for processing power to play the game; you need an actual 4 cores
ok
hello, where can i ask for me bann?
If you were banned from the official servers, dm an admin or go in #401470471750811669 and tag the admins using the "@ official server admin" tag to have one contact you
@near sun
Having freezing issues again and I tried updating/fixing my graphics card which is usually the culprit. Also turned off my sound to avoid the AMD processor glitch with the skin menus, but I'm still not having any luck. Anyone able to lend a hand? Got my system information copied.

what resolution and graphic settings are you playing on?
ill check in game rq
(I cant handle the annoying flicker that shadows get when lower than epic) Used to play on all epic smooth as butter, but about a year ago I slowly started to just peter out. Might need to get some new parts for this setup. I'm just unsure what the exact issue is so I can't tackle it. Not much of a computer person.
already playing on low graphics , you spec isn't bad except for that weird AMD bug with unreal engine , not really sure
ahhh thats dissapointing. I guess I'll just have to hope for the recode to somehow fix it x.x'
maybe its just Unreal Engine really not playing nice with me
also 8g of ram is the minimum recommended , if you can afford it perhaps you could consider adding a few more gigs to it
might help !
Yeah. I think that'll be the first thing I go for just for a general boost. Thanks!
so my friend is having issues finding the official servers, how do i help her fix this?
she searched "official" and no boxes are checked
Has she tried doing this?
Did she restart her game?
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
If it doesn't work
she said it says
"C:\WINDOWS\system32>/flushdns netsh winsock reset
'/flushdns' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
@amber tide
Ok ill tell her
Tell her to open her steam client; click on "View" which is on the top left. Click on Servers afterward and filter the game for The Isle. Then tell her to search for servers
If browsers come up, something is blocking her game.exe, as in she needs to add it as an exclusion to the antivirus/firewall
If no servers come up then her ports aren't opened
Last fix: Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
when i am in a private hosted server, whenever i choose a baby dinosaur i cannot grow past juvenile when using the "/grow" command. is there any way to fix this? or is it just the type of dino that cannot use this command?
They've probably locked it from growing
Do you have the same issue on any other server?
i have not tested that yet, i usually play in private hosted servers as most of the servers i cannot get a stable connection to and lose connection after seconds.
Hey My buddy is having the issue where server's wont show up he tried everything posted above that was suggested for zombies friend and nothing.
Tell him to open the steam client; click on "View" on the top left and look for "Servers" Then filter out The Isle as the game to look for and see if servers appear in that small browser list
If servers appear; that means something is blocking his game such as a firewall/antivirus.
If nothing appears; his ports are blocked
Every server I try to join gives me this message (Official or not) It's been doing this for a couple days and sometimes does let me play but other time lets me into the server and then boots me shortly after. I'm running Ethernet so it's not a wifi issue and my pc has an i7 8700k with 1080ti 11gb, 16gb of ram which hasn't given me any issues since I start playing and put in 400 hours onto The Isle. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.
Try this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
I just tried that from reading the comments above and it didn't seem to help
Can someone help me. My game started getting 1 frame every 5 seconds and then crashed when i got close to the aviary and now when i try and open it even the startscreen lags like crazy
@tardy sentinel follow this and post the results here:
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba
Ok. Thank you
Are there any other fixes I could try for that issue i'm having? (Sorry it took me a while to get back to this but I tried a full reinstall but am still having the same issue)
okay so I will have you change your steam server connection to the second nearest server and see if it improves.
you will have to go in Steam , in the upper left corner Steam>Settings > Downloads
in that Downloads tabs you will have to change the ''download region'' into the option below your currently selected server (it says above or below in the picture but below is best) @honest river
It's on Vancouver already which is the closest place to where I live. The next closest would be Seattle if it would be worth me trying to change it. @pale pike
Yes try it
Seattle and Vancouver are quite close of eahother so it shouldn't impact your downloading speed but hopefully it may change something with your connection that is going to get the game to work better for you
Or it may not do anything at all for you
We'll see
Sounds good, thanks @pale pike ! I'll try it now just for funzies to see if it impacted if i'm able to get on or not
Your a life saver @pale pike ❤ That seems to have fixed it!!! 😄 Thank you so much for your time and help
Hopefully it stays ok
my isle is lagging and freezing all the time plz help
follow this and post the results here:
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba
its just started it, I got good pc so its not for that
overpowered that answer was for me?
oh lol
message ower 2000 things so cant send
my isle worked like 1 year without lag and now freezing start like from nowhere when I started hunting
So break it into two sections.
wait I think freezing now left
Okay
food isnt spawning for me on 1 specific server
Every other server is fine, it spawns for my friends just not me
AI spawns randomly after 70%
There's nothing that can be done; you'll have to just look around for it
You mean it starts spawning after ur hunger drops under 70%?
I've just created a dedicated server and was going to see if it was up and got this message and restarted to see if that worked. I know it's not the server because I stopped that and it still happened
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Hey, a quick question, what does SCent do? do you even see tracks of an animal with it?
is there also a way to see the map?
Scent will show gore piles, water, plants, and foot prints if they are within a couple minutes of being fresh
No way to see the map currently
Use your mouse wheel
Oof
😂
friend just got VAC banned from the game through steam and now cant play it he had a cheat engine in the background for an online flash game and its vac banned him any idea what he can do
There's nothing he can do
like nothing at all :/ will he never be able to play again
Nope; unless he wants to create a new account and repurchase the game.
dat sad
There is no reason for him to have cheat engine open
would that be the reason would it have been detected in the background
Yes
ah poop...he said it was his own mistake so its his fault
a VAC ban is handled by steam anyway so you were contacting the wrong people too
yeah i didnt realise i thought it was somthing to do with this too sorry about that
No worries @scenic drum sorry for your friend
he says it happens he did a stupid haha thanks anyway 🙂
Sometimes my game colors will all turn purple, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows how I can fix it. The only way I've been able to fix it is just by relogging. Its happened to me on my desktop computer and my laptop. Any suggestion would be great, thanks!
Just a random bug with the version of unreal engine that the game is on. I'd make sure all of your drivers are up to date though
Okay, thanks
Hello, I can't find any servers on The Isle. I tried to go to properties and change to the developer beta, but it's not showing it as an option. I even tried re-installing. Screenshot included:
Thanks dude!

i know it's bad ^^" but how will it run the game ^^
It probably won't
You're below the minimum requirements so it shouldn't work for you at all.. But you could possibly try it at low settings if you already own the game
if you don't own the game already then don't bother because it shouldn't work to begin with; with those specs.
okay ^^ thank you!
hey i could use some help cause all of my sound is gone and i cant fix it, but with other games the sound is working fine. ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it hasn't helped
Type %localappdata% in your taskbar search box and press enter. A new window should open, in which you are going to Scroll down and open the folder "The Isle", and delete the saved folder found inside @sage wigeon.
@pale pike sorry but it hasn't helped at all
@brittle perch try logging out and back in
So I'm currently at school (teachers allow students to download steam and games if they want in their free time) and I keep getting kicked from servers? I dont have an issue with this at home, that I know of, so I'm confused
I've recently started running into this issue where the isle frequently "hiccups" for me.. it'll freeze for a second then keep running like normal. I'd tried adjusting ingame settings, updating my graphics driver, etc to no avail. my computer should meet the specifications required to run the isle
i'm not the biggest computer geek, so if there are any suggestions anyone has i'd love to hear it. cause im unable to come up with more ideas
The chance of your computer at school even remotely being close to being able to run the game is like 4%
Follow the below steps and post your pc specs
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba
For both of you; follow the above
I'm in a 3d modeling and animation class for making games, they have beefy pcs
Way better than my home computer
And ok, ty!
Can you open the cmd prompt on the computer?
If not; then you can't play the game while at school
Yup I can
That's a interesting school.. guess they don't care about security
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
The computers get completely wiped every day at 1am
Well, they keep their programs installed but everything else is wiped
Everything
kk
These commands aren't going to kill the computer right? Lol
I wouldn't give you something to harm the computer
I meant more like they won't mess up any dire settings, sorry 😬
Nope
Kk sweet
it just refreshes the internet cache basically
Like clearing cookies for websites basically

Sure
Open File Explorer from the taskbar of your computer
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
Try that Dino
kk
I don't see why you would hiccup; what are your settings at
i had them on high, changed to medium, etc. even if i host a private server with no other players it happens.
i used to be able to run with some things on epic, but recently it's changed and idk why. i thought it was the strain of running obs, however it happens when i'm not recording as well.
Ok pc restarted and I tried going into an official server, hot in but was then kicked
But I think I might know why; I recently family shared with an old account that I have a vac ban for the isle (I was very stupid 3 years ago) so I could have multiple saves on another game, and I think that it may be affecting me on my normal account now?
If it is, RIP, time to buy the isle again
just ran around on a server for 5 minutes, still getting the hiccups. the game isn't unbearable, i've been playing it like this for a month or so, I just wanted to see if i could help it at all xD
thank for your help Overpowered ❤
Anyone having problems with the FT in game spiking along with bad frame drops anywhere from half a second to a couple frame drop? Just reset pc to hopefully fix it and it is worse. My hardware is overall under 50% usage. Any help would be great!

That's weird.. maybe a windows update changed something on your end?
Hi proto xD my pc is lagging too
Possibly. I can double check graphics card and windows 10 :3 Wondering if its on my end, maybe faulty hard drive? I'll start with graphics cards and windows update :3
Overpowered I have the same problem
I know there was a recent nvidia update that was causing issues but I don’t remember what version
Alrighty perfect. I will go off that and do a little diggin. If it's a known issue i'm hoping it isnt hardware on my end XD
Shouldn’t be, I have the same card 🙂
Sounds like what im getting Proto
Yea everything is up to date. It is almost unplayable. Im strugglin XD there is a FT spike so idk if thats like the frame transfer to the server? Not sure if thats a thing XD
Check when your most recent windows update was; obviously something changed recently for that to happen
So it's gotta be a GPU update or a generic windows update
O.P ... join the voice 😛
I'll never join the heretics lol
Its worse now, I have had this problem on and off over the last couple months
Ill check the update though :3
Is the game on an HD or ssd?
SSD
Do you have a second drive?
Oh ok and same issue?
Yep. The last couple weeks when I would reinstall it wouldnt do it as bad right after the install but This was my first time playing since the pc wipe last night and its worse than ever. I appreciate you guys brainstorming and trying to help me out! :D
It is on the F drive currently
Is this the only game that has the problem?
Not sure. Apex would struggle but everything else i would just have to limit the graphics because it was due to exceeding graphics limits. I typically sit under 60% when playing the isle
Does the i7 8700 have an integrated video card?
If it does, the game might be using the integrated card instead of the Nvidia
It does I believe. I am a little concerned that my whole pc feels the stutter when it happens. I am almost thinking that its a faulty hard drive. Might move my OS and main games to the other to SSD/HD
When did this problem come about?
Because if you recently updated your Nvidia drivers it's most likely that; I updated mine and it's just buggy
It has been on and off over the last few months. Sometimes its worse than others.
but today was dang near unplayable after I reset my pc last night
Possibly stopped doing it, for the most part, after I bottomed graphics other than view distance and limited frames to 60. Sitting around isle using 20 % gpu. I'll lets ya know if it continues to help!
Yea I am downloading a software to be able to monitor and change both :)
CPU and GPU temps are on the cooler side, I downloaded the asus graphics sofware and after the pc restart with the software it is far less noticeable :D
Hmm interesting
Anyone have any troubleshooting advice for a consistent kick from server message? Checked with the server admins, it's not a ban, and it's across every server I try and hop onto..
Was troubleshooting it with my clan and they suggested I try asking yall in here
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Seems to be working! Keeping my fingers crossed lmao, thanks a ton! 👍
help, i cant jump while sprinting as utah, I have stam tho
Have you tried re-logging?
@glacial oxide try this:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
@scarlet chasm I did all the things but I cant find my appdata folder in %APPDATA%
please proceed helping
ok got it, lets see if my utah can jump now
@glacial oxide ok I got everything now, still cant jump while sprinting, I only able to jump when I look to the side or the back
while running of course
I am having problems finding any US servers. When I click play all i see are asian and eu servers
@opaque solar Try this:
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
thank you, that worked
Hey I need some help with joining servers. When I try to enter a server it loads the map but then gets stuck and doesn’t show the dinosaur selector. When I join servers I already have a dinosaur on it lets me in no problem so I’m not sure what’s wrong.
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Thank you
Still having the trouble where food never spawns for me in a server
Regardless of dino
Been going on for about 2 weeks
Heya, I played on EU Official 1 yesterday, with automatic replay recording but didn't get a replay, what's the reason?

any ideas?
Is the game downloaded on a hdd or ssd?
hdd
@scarlet chasm Did you ever get to resolve the last guys issue that was experiencing the same thing?
Can you try changing hdd's?
ok
@amber tide naw he used some asus tool to control performance or fans and that seemed to help his skipping issue.
I’d recommend using an SSD vs an HDD though
Well we shall see when he changes
The other user fixed her problem of 45fps by changing ssd’s
When i open the isle the manu has like 1 fps. Its unplayable please help
Even the menu*
@honest river is there space on the ssd to put the game?

This?
Yes that’s perfect, thank you. Are you running the game on an SSD or HDD? (If you know)
1 fps in the menu, game is probably using the integrated video chip instead of the Nvidia
How dobstop from using integrated chip
I set my resolution too high and i cant change it back. Fyi im using nvidia geforce now to run the game
Is your monitor saying it is out of range so you can’t get to the screen to see it?
No. My cursor phases through the apply button so i cant change it
Like, i cannot press the apply button no matterr how many times i click
try this:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

That didnt work :|
Im just gonna wait till i get a better pc in 3 months
@latent palm if you open Geforce Experience and go to games, what does it have for the Isle?
Geforce experience?
sorry I misread one of your previous posts. Thought you said you had GeForce Experience installed, not that Nvidia Geforce is running the game 😛
o
Hello
is there any way to fix this? Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 826]
Rendering thread exception:
Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 200]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0020 - 'INTERNAL_ERROR')
@honest river if you open the Nvidia Control Panel, go to desktop menu and there should be a “Add ‘Run with graphics processor’” context option. Click that then you should be able to right click The Isle and select that context menu item to force it. See if that helps.
Update your drivers
i updated them
I think he was talking to someone else...?
Yeah I was talking to @worthy frost
@honest river try my suggestion if you haven’t.
so i followed a guide to enable sound for the isle when tabbed out of the game. it was just addin a couple lines into the "engine" file for the game, but it didnt work for me.
this is the contents of the "engine" file:
[Core.System]
Paths=../../../Engine/Content
Paths=%GAMEDIR%Content
Paths=../../../TheIsle/Plugins/AutoDecalMerger/Content
Paths=../../../TheIsle/Plugins/ChromaSDKPlugin/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Media/MediaCompositing/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Editor/CryptoKeys/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Enterprise/DatasmithContent/Content
Paths=../../../TheIsle/Plugins/ImpostorBaker/Content
Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Editor/BlueprintMaterialTextureNodes/Content
and then i added:
[Audio]
UnfocusedVolumeMultiplier=1.0
with a line of space beneath the first stuff
and it worked for everyone else it seems, but not me.
i even asked foszor about it, he tried it an it worked for him no problem
@woven fractal I can check what mine says when I get home tonight
cool thx
@amber tide thankyou! Fixed now 😁
Whoop whoop

@remote mantle hey shit happens, no worries 🙂

hey 🙂 I don't know if this is the place for my problem but I'll try :P
When I log into a server and choose my dino, the game freezes and often crashes in the color-selection screen. This problem is ** not existing ** when it is raining on the server! ^^ I have this Problem for a long long time now. Reinstalling doesn't work. Any ideas? 🙂 <@&401466542140817419>
https://gyazo.com/8c1cac40ec65c922d4950386d9d19aba follow this link and copy paste your system specifications here @fallow beacon
I am unable to find a server, been trying for a couple days now never had this problem before. Don't know if this is the place to ask, or if anyone else has this problem?@amber tide
Have you changed your in-game ping?
in steam?
Yeah, via steam
yeah to 1000
One moment
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
netsh winsock reset then hit enter again
Reboot your computer
To find CMD just type in CMD in your windows search bar, right click it then press run as administrator
you have to type in netsh winsock reset into the command prompt, then hit enter.
ok
once that is done close out of command prompt and restart your computer
sorry it took a bit to respond, I did it twice just to make sure still not working@sour shore
Hmm.. What you can do is keep messing around with your in-game ping via steam, sometimes you just have to find the right number that works for you. That's the only thing that I can think of. Perhaps Overpowered can help you out a bit more? He's better at this than me.
Ok ill try that, its just weird that I havent had this problem hapend before. I also bought the game on anouther steam acount to check. Thanks for your help, that would be great!
@scarlet chasm am i replacing the contents of my engine folder with what you put there?
That’s just what I have and background sound works, not sure if there is something about yours that might be different is all
your engine file matches perfectly with paladin's, so i'm going to try replacing what mine says with yours. if it breaks the game i'll just switch it back. fingers crossed!
and it works for paladin, who was the first person i walked to about the issue
no luck.
the game still beahves perfectly with the switched text, but still no audio when tabbed out
every time i join a server it's says you've been kicked from the server i have no idea why?
Try this:
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
hey OP, what can i do about my background sound not working?
Nothing you can do if those settings aren't working for you 😦
With the recode, it'll be enabled as an option in-game
It doesn't work for me either
@unkempt whale Nice; welcome back!
shame. all right.
im sorry it isn't working. @woven fractal are you in fullscreen windowed mode or fullscreen?
windowed full
I wish I could remember where I found how to do it (in case there were more steps)
I can keep refreshing all i want but only Us1 and sometimes Us2 gets found
Have you tried altering you steam ping settings?
If that doesn't work try this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
well would you look at that, the steam thing worked, thanks bud : )
No problem! Have fun 🙂
👍
Why is it that I’ve been trying to spawn in for a solid 6 minutes now but can’t because the confirm button makes the game freeze
Damn skin select screen is trash
I’ve got graphics and sound setting all on Low
And I can not physically spawn in at all rn

@scarlet chasm
@hexed mountain You can update your graphics driver as it is a couple months out of date.
It’s always out of date when I can update it lol
But I’ll go ahead and check on that
But you are on the minimum specs for the game as well.
Perks of a 6 year old pc
Someone did tell me that it has to do with the sound quality being buggy
There is a bug with the older amd cpus and sound
And see this thread on steam
Weird that AMD’s CPUs have problems with the sound
Yup 😛
Would turning off the User Interface sounds help at all?
Your processor is also below the minimum
So it's a mixture of it being an AMD and that
Not surprised lol
You need 4 cores to minimally run the game and you're on 3 😛
but definitely follow what paco said
everything you can turn off at the menu; would be helpful to get you in-game
Yeah, like I said a bit ago. Perks of a 6 year old pc
and then you can turn everything back on
I need to upgrade stuff, but it’s expensive
yeah, it should be fixed with the recode update since it's changing unreal engine versions
it's just the version of unreal that the game is on currently has an issue with amd
I hope so. Thanks for the help tho
I am unable to find any server to play on, is there a easy fix?
Try this:
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Open the Steam client, go to the top left and click on View > Servers and filter out the game for The Isle and look for servers
It sounds like your antivirus/firewall are blocking the game
i see servers in that, when i open the game i dont though
do i have to do that in steam?
i tryed to look at my fire wall, but didnt make sense
It’s just weird that I have over 200 hours into the game on my main account, and it just stopped working now
lol
my steam wont open on my desk top, and every time I go to google to try an log in there is says it cant find any information about my account, im so confused? I need help!!
<@&505047238674874368>
someone please help
please
im getting so frustrated
So contact steam support
same dude i can't open up steam at all <:(
i don't think you can contact steam support if you can't enter steam
That’s unfortunate, sorry to hear that but unfortunately we have nothing to do with steam so we can’t assist you
You can visit their forums and google around
@analog iron can you not find any information either on your account?
i tired
tried*
I put in my email to find my account and it says unfound, then i put in my phone and user and it cant find it
im scared my account got hacked for something
nope
hnggg i never even got to use my steam <:((
pretty sure if you think your steam was hackead you can contact them
you could create a second account on steam and contact them this way. Even if their software doesn't launch on your PC you can still access steam through their website.
Hopefully this is the right place to put this. I can play for anywhere from 5-15mins and it works fine but then all the sudden it with freeze and a pop up saying fatal error will appear and the game crashes.
can you follow this gif and post your specs?

just post them here?
