ahh unfortunately your GPU "Inter(R) HD Graphics 3000" only support directx up to the 10.1 version, whereas you need directx 11 to play the isle. @shadow talon
đ
hello, i am trying to connect to a server that all my other friends play on but no matter what i do it wont show in my servers. its called isla bular server and while it is station out of los angeles and i am on the east coast my other friends on the east coast can type it in and connect meanwhile i cant
No server found solution :
At the top left of Steam youâll see a little button labeled âSteamâ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 250. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle. @valid fossil
thank you it worked!!!!

Anyone know why my mouse tracking is messed up in-game? It's only in The Isle, as it's fine anywhere else -- when I try to get into a server or into the game it picks up my cursor as being really far away from where it actually is
@steep wigeon try this, this will reset your controls
Open File Explorer from the taskbar. Select View > Options > Change folder and search options. Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK. Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder. At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder, hopefully this should fix your problem-
Iâll give it a shot, thank you!
No problem-
this my sound dumb idk, but how do i fix this high ping i recently have??
my internet is absolutely fine, but i get 300-1000 ping on every server, even the ones which
are very close to me
The ping numbers on the player list are inaccurate and do not depict a real ping. This feature will be fixed hopefully with the recode
ah okay, i mean im still rubberbanding everywhere
Okay that's not what you mentioned before.
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
alright ill try that, sorry for any inconvinience before !
i hope itll work
I hope it works for you too! đ
i think it worked :D ty!
No problem đ
heeelp!

maybe its a drivers problem
Has he ever played the isle?
my friendÂŽs computer ainÂŽt good but it runs the game
yeah
weÂŽve been playing for 2 hrs
it runs like at 30 fps
hahaha
the computer ainÂŽt good but at low quality its able to play the game
just the audio its laggie
I'm actually kinda curious, because the computer is super out of minimum requirements... have they ever been able lower the settings or just trying it for the first time now?
Ikr? She loved the game but i thought it wasnât gonna run the game, but it did
She is able to change everything, graphics
Volume
Just the quality and its so weird
But has she ever changed the audio quality before or is this the first time
Its the first time
Its automaically on epic
But i began to think that its a driver problem on the computer, not sure tho
To be honest, I'm not really sure she could go lower with audio settings due to it being already lower than the minimum requirements.. Tell her to run Windows Update and see how many updates she needs
I'll see you soon!
All of a sudden (Never happened before) my game takes a little longer to load which is not that big of a deal its just that when ever I join a server my game stops loading and crashes at 100% Loading

You're using integrated graphics which don't work with the isle, and your drivers are outdated.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
You can try doing that, however since your computer is below minimum requirements, there's no real "fix" except upgrading to an actual gpu
Ok thanks
@sterile mesa Can you do me a favor and post your PC specs? I have a theory about something and I need those who run into the screen color bug to post their specs

Same for @untold sun please đ
Their discord was being dumb, This is fractureds spec sheet.
Thanks
Interesting, I appreciate that.. It was thought to be a potential gpu issue but doesn't seem that way. I'll look into different things and try to keep you guys updated
you would happen to have a set launch options for the isle?
Donât think so-
Does the isle use âfaceit acâ? I am using a windows 10 insider build on my laptop that incorporates a Linux kernel and thus I have read that faceit ac will not work with it because of hypervâ and I would like to know to see if I can switch from gaming on my desktop to on my laptop
nvm figured it out
@chilly lodge I bet the folks in here could help you out
maybe lol.
My Q: I am wondering if Isle is frame-locked to 60 FPS or anything?
I have a 144hz monitor, and if I can achieve even 120 fps I'd love the smoothness it brings. Since I can personally feel a difference between 60 and 120.
Ryzen 7 2700X and GTX 1070 should be able to achieve like 100 fps or so on Epic I would think.
[Please Mention me or I won't see at all.]
Of course you can get higher than 60
@chilly lodge
I'm sitting at 130 fps with everything on epic
sits here with a steady 20 fps and low graphics

Yes
Got a Problem, No servers are Loading up on the Server List. What reads is No Servers Found I have Reinstalled, Refreshed Quite a Few times, Even played around with Ticking the hide Outdated Server, I Have tried Putting my Ping down to 500, doesnt work u.u

Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter

Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@mossy cradle could you be more specific about your sound problem? I donât understand what you mean by âsound problemâ what exactly happens
I have tried all of the Above, No change.
I'll just ask now. What ever is Highlighted in the square to the right is a "I do not want to see this" option. If it is a Green square that has no smaller solid square inside of it, that would mean that is something you WANT to see on the list. DM me if unchecking the green squares and "checking" the ungreen squares helps. I did this by accident my first times around
@onyx cave
Nothing is Highlighted, Most the time i only have Outdated on. I tried with it off, Nothing.
goto the steam client, click the view button, then servers, select the isle on the bottom left and join a server through this list built-in to steam
@onyx cave
If it works, that means your antivirus/firewall are blocking it, or your ports arenât opened
@amber tide oups sorry for the late answer. Actualy evry time im. Talking on discord and the isle there trouble with sounsing.. Like there a huge bee im my mic and after a like 5 seconde the game crash and that evry time someone join et quit the conversation on discord. I tough at first the trouble come from discord but no. It only doing me this on the isle
It didnât work ahh
have you ever added the game in your antivirus / firewall exclusion list @onyx cave?
antivirus software may mess with server results yes
How do I check my anti virus or whatever
do you know which one you have installed?
it's possible that you don't have one installed too, I personally dont
Thatâs the thing was donât understand I swear I donât have one
Iâll like check just in case tho
could also be a firewall thing, everyone has one
yea no anti virus i like just unistalled McAfee
like a week ago
cus i was clearing out my computer
Choose Control Panel from the Windows Start menu. Open the Security Center utility.
Beneath Manage security settings for, select Windows Firewall. The Windows Firewall dialog will be displayed.
Open the Exceptions tab and click the Add Program button and search for The Isle.exe
Cant be firewall i cmpletely turned it off
and tried
didnt work
it works when i join the server through the steam client tho
atleast there is one functionning way you can find server, I'm not too good with networking/server issue so Idk what else to try
If it works through the browser, your ports arenât opened through your router
It would have to go in #401470471750811669 as it is a screenshot and not art per say @honest river
My ping is insanely high for every server so much so that most official servers won't even pop up, yet I have 342.77 Mbps internet speed on speedtest.net and live in the US. Anyone know a solution?
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Ah that's one I haven't tried yet, thanks
You're welcome đ

my pc runs I already played 200 hours the island with it
Your graphics driver is under the minimum requirements and itâs out of date by 3 1/2 years
You need to update all of your drivers
Download nvidia GeForce experience
Okay so open it and download the updates
I only speak English sorry
If thatâs up to date from 2016, then thereâs not much we can do to help you. Your driver is already well below the minimum requirements and youâre already using a low resolution.
Iâm assuming your game is on low settings as well
Yes, my game plays bass
this graphics did not find compatible graphics hardware
help me
plz game a 200 hoursbecause it does not work anymore

Heâs below the minimum requirements to play, there is no real fix for his issues. It will randomly work and stop working
So what I want to play again?
You need to upgrade your laptop to play reliably. Your laptop is so old that the last update was in 2016.. your laptop will start to randomly work in a few days and then stop whenever it wants to, thatâs why thereâs minimum requirements posted before you buy games
You can try the shipping.exe to see if it will work
Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
Other than that, no one can really help you until you upgrade to a new computer
Follow the steps I posted
I can't help you because only you know where your steam folder is
Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
@amber tide alreafy try keep doing it (sorry for the late reply im working
Removing the overlay doesnt work
When was the last time you updated your drivers
month or so
Itâs not so much a troubleshooting issue but I think it would get lost in the mess of general chat today but Iâm wondering if thereâs a way to have The Isle running in the background of windows 10 and still have it playing sounds. When I task switch, I lose all sounds from the game. Thanks!
To allow background sounds while alt-tabbed:
Engine.ini file
Add this at the bottom
[Audio]
UnFocusedVolumeMultiplier=1.0
Fantastic! Thank you
You're welcome đ
Hi there, I'm having an issue with the isle and was hoping to get some help.
Sure, what's your issue
It appears that I'm unable to play on any US servers in the game, the only ones that I see are European.
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle

When i first downloaded the isle on my pc the game servers used to load up in seconds now, it takes about 5 mins to load up the servers i think i did something to one of the in game files. I thought reinstalling the entire game would fix the problem but, it didnât solve anything so now iâm just trying to uninstall it completely with no saved files for everything can be reinstalled without that one messed up file.
have you ever done the fix I'll post below? if yes, then that settings makes the server list load slower. So set it back to automatic and it should load the servers faster. Keep in mind that reverting back automatic might yield less results though.
The fix mentionned :

I can not bite/attack with any dino while I'm making a right turn. Neither herbi nor carni.
This only happen with right turn. If I turn my head to the right while standing, I am able to bite.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
@azure timber
What would i need to do if my game keeps crashing? I've verified my files and deleted the save folder so I'm not sure what else I can do to fix it.

And unfortunately there is your problem, you're using integrated graphics which don't work with the game. Unfortunately there is no fix for your issue besides trying to update all of your drivers, and windows version to the latest and greatest, or upgrading your laptop
Open up "Windows Update" and go from there to update everything
@amber tide Unfortunately it did not help .... I already tried it back then. again, but unfortunately no can not bite right when I turn
alrighty thank you for your help~
unfortunately since it's using integrated graphics, it's very random on when it wants to work or not. It could work at one point, and decide to 360 and not work again, but your best bet is to try updating everything and lowering your settings to the lowest you can, and put it on windowed mode
Sorry I couldn't be a definitive help
oh no that's quite alright. I appreciate you taking the time to try and help me đ
@tired swallow Actually there's one more thing you can try
Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
ok trying it out now
sadly that didn't work either. Guess ima have to dip into my rainy day funds to see about getting a better computer
Did you run windows update too?
I found the probleme
yeah it's up to date now
What's that
Not quite sure of the probleme tho... It seem like the audio driver of my pc yas un able to synchronise with the game.. So I forced it
I think
Not sure
Bue noe it working
Weird, but glad you got it working again
Thanks gor your help ><
No problem, glad you're back on the isle!
Hey, not sure if this is the right channel, but a person I know is in a server and it won't pop up even with the name spelt correctly and all filters are correct. Can anyone help me.
I'm not sure if it saying "minimum system requirements" not being met is affecting it, but I'd like to know if there's a way anyone can help or if it's something that is affecting it?
At the top left of Steam youâll see a little button labeled âSteamâ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.
If that doesn't work, try this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@white moon
No problem, glad I could get you back onto the servers đ
I'm having trouble with not getting any sound in game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but still nothing

Sorry was having a brain fart moment
Gotcha, you might wanna open up Windows Update and update your drivers as theyâre out of date by a year. That may or may not fix it but itâll be good to have everything up to speed
Ive bot even had this pc for a year lol but okay
Can you hear sound while at the main menu
nope
And you have a tv hooked up to your computer right?
Yep
Do you have regular speakers to plugin to see if sound will play on them instead of the tv?
Or a head set
Right click your audio icon on the bottom right of the screen, click on Playback Devices and see whatâs set as the default
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.
Try this
Is your headset set to 7.1 or 5.1 surround sound?
5.1 i think
Gotta set it to stereo, the isle doesn't support 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound
or better yet, Unreal has issues with it while running the isle
But it's worked perfectly until now and still no sound
You set it to stereo and it still doesn't work?
It works through my tv
But it's just confusing me why it worked all this time through my headset and only now it's not
Maybe an update is blocking it, whether its a new one, or it needs a new update
But I checked for updates and there is none
Uninstall and reinstall the program for your headset
Or maybe it was a recent update that clobbered it
What fixed it
I changed usb devices
great, glad you got it working again!
Thank you ^-^
đ
My game is blindingly white, I've tried turning down my screen brightness and nothing works. It's so bright that the sky, eventual cliffs and horizon melt together in a white, thick mist..
Any ingame options that I can change to get rid of this?
hi
have a problem, need translate ,because im spanish
I have a problem with the game, with the theme of sniffing, when looking for the SAVE folder inside the installation, does not appear to me, and uninstalled the game 10 times, verified cache, installed on one hard drive and on another, make sure that no folder stays , but nothing, I can't find the folder, i find only this
https://gyazo.com/3cc6eefce68be1358965e2216b43d059
this is the menu that appears to me
you are looking in the wrong folder my friend
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.

Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
Follow these steps please
Abre el Explorador de archivos desde la barra de tareas.
Seleccione Ver> Opciones> Cambiar carpeta y buscar opciones.
yes delete the saved
I don't eat kisses because I'm away, really, many thanks, I've been looking at it for 4 hours to fix until with the discord, now I can come back with my herd! Utahs to power!!! Thank you!!!!

TY, i'll give it a shot
your GPU's driver is out of date by almost a year now, try updating it. I would also attempt to delete the saved folder and have all the setting reset @vestal bluff

Thank you! I'll try that!
Although the thing that my drivers are outdated by a year is odd because I am pretty sure ive updated them not long ago to fix another game related issue xD
ahh wait, that might be steam giving off your integrated video card driver's date

I see that your 1060's driver are a bit old, should try to update them
nvm fixed it, after fixing the original display bug, i forgot to change the resolution in windows settings
thanks anyway tho
glad you got it figured it out
Hey guys, I'm trying to reinstall The Isle but it keeps stopping and saying there is a disk write error. Any ideas on how to fix?
Guys please
@oak sail
Hello! I'm having some trouble with the game's "rest" button. In the past day, I've logged into a couple servers where I have dinosaurs I've already progressed. When I hit the R key to lay down and regain stamina, nothing happens - on another server, I logged out while resting and now I cannot get up. Every other key and function works except for this one. I've tried deleting the "Saved" folder from the game's app data, and I've restarted my PC. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me?
What saved data folder did you delete? The one in steamapps?
@oak pecan
Follow these steps and it should fix it:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
That's what I did. It didn't work.
R isn't the default keybind, so when you delete the Saved folder it would change back to "H"
After you deleted the folder, "H" doesn't work for you either?
I believe I tried that key, but I'll load up the game now and try it again; I'll let you know if it works.
Okay sounds good
Yep that worked! Thank you very much â€ïž
You're welcome đ glad we got you back on track!
Why my Game doesn't have any Sounds?
That's a pretty broad question that has a million answers.
Let's start with do you hear sound in the menu?
Nothing at all.

Unplug your headset and see if there's sound

It's still set to your headset
I will try again.
Doesn't work
I think I need to restart Steam.
I will try that.
Ok
Didn't work.
Check if videos or other video sources work
google? google isn't a sound
I mean a Video or something.
My First I do that.
Okay then.
I will go to sleep after It, so tomorrow I will see.
Okay, make sure all drivers are updated. Use Geforce experience to update your gpu driver, and use Windows Update to find updates for every other driver
No problem

Okay, Cya.
<@&505047238674874368> someone I know is experiencing a bug where they can't eat. They tried several bodies, so it's not the bodies that are glitched. They relogged and it didn't help. What can they do?
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.

Will that delete their saved games?
You have no saved games for the isle
it deletes things like control schemes and saved skins iirc
It's only defaulting the settings back to factory
Ok, thank you. đ
No problem, let us know how it works after!
replays work, just that no dinosaur sounds can be heard (such as 1-4 and f but biting, sniffing, etc still works) - and everyone is walking backwards or drinking/eating while sliding around
That would fall under block saying that they're broken
It worked! đ
I can't seem to get on any servers, official and unofficial, map doesn't matter. I load in briefly, just enough to see the map, then I'm back on the main menu and it says "Kicked from server | Host closed the connection". I've tried restarting my game.
If I get on a server where I don't already have a dinosaur, I get kicked as soon as I attempt to spawn in.
Steam Subsystem Error OR No servers showing.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot your computer @zenith ravine
try doing this
worked after two tries, thank you
I'm back. So here I updated the Device.
It...Didn't work.
It didn't actually fix It.
that's not how you update your GPU @dense comet
if you don't already have that software, download and install it.
Automatically updates your drivers and optimal playable settings. Share your game wins with ShadowPlay. GeForce Experience lets you do it all.
you will be able to update your driver with this
Sorry, I have It. It was my first Time I do It.
then open it and they should prompt you to a driver update đ
Sorry for being Dumb, and Silly.
dont worry, we all started somewhere!
It didn't work.
can you post your system specifications again, just to confirm the driver really was updated.
follow this and copy paste the result here
Okay.

It's not working for my Headphones, but It works for my Speakers.
It works now.
that's because of your deafult audio device
well glad we got it working, happy play time!
Thank you so much for helping me, sorry for taking your Time.
you're welcome again, and remember to keep the driver up to date. see how it can mess up your game if you don't? hehe
Will thank you.
I have a question but not sure where to ask so here it goes..the current version of the game has minimum and recommended specs..my question is as the game progresses and more things are added will this affect the specs needed to play the game?
Yes
The minimum requirements have changed from rn when the game was first released to today and will continue to change over time
@edgy owl
In admin mode, how do I move my dino to a place I've flown to?
hold shift while pressing the same keybind to enter spectator mode @vast furnace
Thank you! @pale pike
How do I fix the kick from server issue?
Steam Subsystem Error OR No servers showing.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer @honest river
try this
Ok, thanks.
Trying it now
How do you leave groups?
@honest river To leave a group (I'm guessing in-game) you hit the insert key to bring up your character menu, then on the top left select the group tab. This will show all active members in your group, including the "alpha" who either started the group or has been in it the longest. To leave, just hit the leave group button (I think) in the bottom right of that screen.
<@&505047238674874368> I think I just experienced a weird bug that I have never had before. I was a 93% adult Giga, and suddenly I get hunger damage without my stomach being red (but it was empty) and I proceed to get damage to last screen in only a few minutes. At the same time, I get a lot of AI spawn around me, but I can't see it. Literally can't see it. I could hear it was right in front of me, but it wasn't. Then my packmate came and he couldn't hear OR see it. The whole thing was just weird. Is this a big, or?
Probably, post it in #401465476661641217
im being kinda of a nuisance around here but i have tried everything to connect to servers to play the isle and all i get are empty ones that are never played, any tips?
@amber tide CMD refresh , server settings from 250 to 5000, deleted saved folder, permitions, and all out uninstalled and installed again
you did the flushdns?
Steam Subsystem Error OR No servers showing.
Open an Administrator level command prompt
Right click CMD - Run as Admin
Type ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Reboot your computer
Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
goto the steam client, click the view button, then servers, select the isle on the bottom left and join a server through this list built-in to steam
If none of those work, that means your ports aren't opened.
@amber tide i tried that but the only servers listed are empty
Even with the steam browser?
yes
Sounds like your ports arenât open
Soo I finally downloaded The Isle again. It tellse to download UnReal Engine X64 but I keep failing at installing it. Can anyone help me with this?
Should I connect to the internet during the installation? Because when I first tried to install it, the driver for the network adapter for my laptop suddenly went missing (which sorta makes things worse)
Youâre welcome
hey, i just got my friend the game and when he goes to look for the server im on all he sees are over seas servers like none of the ones i see when i go to look for a server is there any way to fix that
How do I join vc
@proven orchid
There is no vc in game @honest river
Iâm in a group?
That doesnât change that thereâs no voice chat in game
Everyone uses alternatives for voice chat, like discord, teamspeak
Oh, they were telling me to join vc ok...
alright thanks ill try to walk him through that
if it doesnt work ill be back lol
cheers
Sounds good, let me know how it goes!
@honest river ask them what voice chat theyâre in
Thereâs always a water source close enough to get to before you die, I would suggest using the vulnona map, itâs a good way to find out exactly where you are using your coordinates and helps you learn the map
Haha yeah, I always kinda wait a little before making a trek to someone else, or I at least use the map to plan out a route before I move
Pack of dilos altered that lol

Omg water...
it worked thank your over
Youâre welcome, go enjoy the game with your friends now!
Thatâs something you would have to do through your router settings
Itâs different for every router
ok, ill check it out
@idle glade Actually I have an idea
Are you connecting through wifi or ethernet cord?
Try it on wifi
hey i, for some reason, cannot find any official servers on The Isle! i only have hide outdated and official boxes selected!
At the top left of Steam youâll see a little button labeled âSteamâ, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.

Does anyone know how to fix the flickering shadows? :(
Turn your shadows all the way up
@amber tide tried it but didnt work
@amber tide I'm finally connected to the internet now
Why are you trying to download unreal itself?
Uuh it tells me to download it when I clicked play on The Isle
I assume I'm doing it wrong
click on the isle again and show the error
downloading it rn
You should also run Windows Update if you don't have the microsoft visual runtime installed either
Run Windows update and restart your computer
Somethings wrong with your computer and Iâm honestly not sure what. Itâs acting like you donât have it installed but you do
Probably gonna have to reinstall it
does your windows operating system happens to be a cracked version?
likely
is this link good?
Wait what do you mean likely
well cracked windows isn't an uncommon thing in my country
as a matter of fact, most pc or laptop are cracked
Thatâs probably your issue then, unfortunately we could not really assist if you have any cracked programs as thatâs a huge factor in something randomly not working
Considering you canât get updates
I cant eat or drink im holding the button down and everything it just dosent work
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
@merry forge
Its a little hard cuz mine is in a diffrent language

Can carno not nest atm? A few days ago i was an adult female carno and couldnt place a nest. The other female i was with also could not place a nest. Both of us tried biting and placing multiple times as well as moving around to try different areas but even in flat open ground we could not.
Also had attempted relogging and rebooting game.
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Every time I try to enter any server, it boots me right out... What do I do? I've tried validating my properties, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game... :/ Still its not working
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@honest river
Trying it now.... I reboot it right after I enter that last thing?
Correct
Alright. Opening the isle now. XD I'm no computer expert. So lets see if I did it all correct
Haha sounds good, let me know
Still gives me the same message.... It will load me into a server, but auto boot me out with that same message....
I'm getting really annoyed... :/ But I'm trying to keep cool. This never happens to me
When you opened the command prompt, you right clicked it and ran it as admin correct?
Should I screenshare with you?
You can if you'd like
I do have more options for you to try as well
Glad we got it working again đ Welcome back!
can someone help me, i try connect a server, no matter official or privat, and i get kicked with the message Host close connection....can someone tell me what i need to do ?
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box

Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@pseudo frost
thank u verymuch
<@&505047238674874368> I don't know if this is a bug/problem or not, but it is weird. I am a Dibble and have nested 5 babies with the standard yellow Dibble skin (I am not yellow). Meanwhile, all other Dibbles I have seen birth babies of all colours. It's like I/my nest is bugged and babies only come out in basic skin. Is this a thing? Or just unlucky?
Itâs just very much bad luck. Babies when nested can be bested as ay color available, but most come out as the default color
@honest river
@lime sage Hiya! Bug reports isnât the place to write an issue with the servers, this would be the perfect place to ask for assistance
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
im sorry im still new ^^'
No problem đ follow my instructions above
it still doesnt work... i did all the things you told me to do
always that "connection error"
not really an error or issue but the icon for my isle shortcut is missing. how to i get it back?
Never seen that issue arise so I honestly donât know how to get it back, but you could try verifying integrity of game files to see if thatâll work @woven fractal
@lime sage so when you join a game, it disconnects you and says host closed the connection?
yes
Try the flushdns solution one more time, make sure youâre running the command prompt as admin
Sometimes it likes to be told twice what to do
You restarted your computer 3+ times after doing it?
yes
Open the Steam application.
Switch to the Library tab if you're not already there.
Find The Isle in the list of games. Right-click it and click Properties.
In the window that comes up, switch to the Local Files tab.
Click "Browse Local Files". This should open a File Explorer and show you a folder with the game files.
Find TheIsle.exe. Right-click it and choose Copy.
Go to the desktop, right click, and choose "Paste shortcut"
@woven fractal
@lime sage
alright, hope this works!
Couldn't start:
"C:\users\piespie\desktop\theisle\binaries/win64/theisle-win64-shipping.exe" theisle
CreateProcess() returned 2
not sure if it's () or 0
that's what happened when i tried to lauch the isle through the shortcut i copied from the folder
Gross, try this: Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
well that launched the game just fine
Try making a shortcut from there and try launching it again
I'm not sure why your icon disappeared but that's weird
..... does it matter whether i ctrl v'd the shortcut instead of right clicking and pasting shortcut?
I would right click and click Create shortcut instead of pasting it
đ
alls good now, tyvm
You're welcome!
alright so i've done that, eliminated the "saved" folder and that only made more servers show up on the list but still cannot join any
alwayssssss the same "your connection to the host has been lost"
it made me enter one server out of all the other ones
well thanks, at least i can play on that one server!
That's so very weird.. usually it's the other way around and the flushdns should fixit
And you can enter one server.... that doesn't make sense
i tried on all other servers and well i still cannot join. im trying to find the server i was playing in before x'd
Alright I'm gonna search some things up and get back to you
Does running make food disappear faster?
Hello. I don't think this is of troubleshooting but I don't think there's another chat where this could be asked. I have heard from people that it is possible to make your hatchlings have a color scheme of you and a male if the male sits down on the nest as well. Is this true or have my friends just being lucky on their hatchlings?
Hi i've actually had this issue for a while
could anyone help me with fixing the replay?
Replays are broken themselves, best bet is to use third party applications to record until the issue is fully addressed
Darn. Thank you though
I guess this is where I ask about my dino being stuck?
Nope, you would go to the server that corresponds to where your dino is stuck and tag an official server admin
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
@grim cosmos for your friend
@amber tide hey man, congrats on becoming a moderator, you deserve it for being so helpfull. I have a weird issue, i tried everything you said but didnt work, but curiosly enough i connected today at 8:00 am and i could see WAY more servers including nycta and officials thatn when i connect in the afternoon, do you know or have heard a reason of why it happens?
not really, it just seems to be a thing, after 2 i just cant connect to any server
That's weird, it sounds like it's based off your internet then
Something changes with it. You're not able to connect to a different router or different internet by any chance, would ya
cant, i originally had two routers but it became kinda of illeghal in ma country
Ouch
Try opening these ports in your firewall or Antivirus. Ports 7777, 7778 and 27015. Possibly in your modem or router also.
just ran into a group of ceras with y giga on server eu 1 and i cant bite them? they seem afk but my bites dont register on them
on second thought, drinking isnt registering either, is the server crashing ? đ
i relogged, that fixed it
That's all I can see when I try to open the Isle. I usually only got that message when I plugged my headphones out while I was ingame but now I can't even open the game :/
Nvm I somehow fixed it
hello its me again, i can now join the official servers after i try many times and i really like the game. other servers tho still wont show up. help?
@amber tide it's still not working @crimson needle
Whatâs not working? @grim cosmos
i would like to know why other servers still wont show up... thanks
Your issue seems to be stemming from either your router/firewall/antivirus blocking access to it if the usual fixes don't take care of it
You'd have to add an exclusion for the isle folder to all of them
And make sure your ports are opened
Try opening these ports in your firewall or Antivirus. Ports 7777, 7778 and 27015. Possibly in your modem or router also.
thank you
So im trying to find a server but it says server not found, but i can see every other isle servers just fine, anyway to fix that?
Is there any way to fix the sound desync? On every Dino I've played I dont hear f calls or roars, close or from a distance unless my camera is panned in their specific directions
Nope, that'll hopefully be fixed with the recode, or sometime after
The dev team is aware
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
IF that doesn't work, follow this:
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box

is there a way to access the replays in The Isle?
Sure, go to where they're stored at on your computer. When you go to settings while at the menu, it shows you where they're saved

I'm not seeing anything light up when I try to use scent. I've tried it with several species of herb and pred, in survival servers. I stop moving and hold down Q, and my dino goes into a smelling animation, but nothing lights up, even if I'm standing right by food or water. I've tried deleting the Saved folder and rebooting my computer.
can you tell me where you found that saved folder @modern steppe?
Found this on a steam forum:
is it raining when you're doing it? how long are you holding the key?
No, and I'll hold down the key until the sniffing animation stops, or only hold it down until the animation starts
hmm scent marks should appears after the animation is over for most of the dinos
I'll try holding it for longer, thank you
If that doesn't work, should I try uninstalling and reinstalling the game?
I dont think you will have to

I am able to start the Isle, hop into a server and play for a an aprox average time of 15 minutes before my screens turns black then display the message saying HDMI no signal. This problem only happens on the Isle and not with other games. All cables are tight and are not coming disconnected. The problem only seems to happen on the Isle. Any suggestions?
If in need of more info please PM me for computer specs and ect.

Everything looks fine, can you switch the hdmi cable and try it again?
Well it happened again
When the screen goes off I still hear game noises but if I try and switch stuff or turn my screen on and off it still doesnât work
Try it with only one monitor connected

@elder juniper
Open an Administrator level command prompt by typing in "CMD" on your windows search through your computer.
Right click CMD - Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset then hit enter
Reboot your computer and open up The Isle
Yes
Okay
What did that do anyways?
Hope I dident die... their were 2 big trikes in frount of me
That refreshes your internet cache basically
Ah okay
But if you joined the server and it happened and you were able to see the trikes your body was probably still there for them to nail đŠ
Prolly, if they decided to go for it that is
I was only a utah o well
But thanks
Youâre welcome đ
Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.
@elder juniper
Am here!
Is there an error that happens or the isle just freezes
I MAY try a simple computer restart if that'd be smart for the moment.)) But, no. There's absolutely NO. error that comes up. It'll just hit 100, hear a sound, and It'll never officially load in. I'd check task manager and it'd just say it was not responding.
So it'd be stuck on a black screen with the 100%.

Should I pop into another server and see if I'm able to load in there? I've only tried to hop into US 1 so far.
Yeah try another server
I actually just did, and then my computer ended up almost shitting itself.
Which I don't.. Understand at all.
Would it be alright to upload the screenshot I grabbed before everything nearly died? lmao.
Yeah
what settings are you graphics on?
Lower your settings to medium real quick, close everything out and restart the isle and join a server
They should be on high, I usually keep any settings between medium/high. Let me QUICKLY see if anything needs to be updated before hopping on again?
Run Windows update and see
game resolution?
Yeah, bringing up geforce as well just in case. And it should be 1920x1080
Apparently geforce is having a problem as well, let me fix that real quick and I'll continue on, sorry for all the trouble. ;-;
No problem, let us know how it goes
Will do!
Okay, am able to actually bring up geforce now, no updates. Gonna check windows and if there's nothing there, I'll attempt lowering my settings to see if that'll help.
Also pardon, everything was on epic. Trying out medium x_X))
Well huh, lowering them down to medium helped.
did you reset your settings recently? everything gets put back to epic or cinematic by default i believe hehe
Thank you both for talking with me about all this. I'm just confused as to why I'd be able to run on epic and then suddenly it wouldn't let me. And noes, I think they might have always been on epic in all honesty. xD!~
I keep a good portion of my games on setting lower then the highest, but maybe I had Isle on it the entire time.
It's weird that it'd be happening now then earlier though.
Well thereâs epic and then cinematic is the highest but thatâs weird maybe it reset itself
Ah, yeah. When I checked, everything was on epic and it used to run completely fine. Never experienced what happened a few moments ago before. So, there's not much I can really tell aha. -- Maybe? I know for sure I've been able to run this game on epic in general.
I'm happy as long as I can play. Thank you both for helping me with this. â€

Haha well glad we were able to help!
Uh oh.
Maybe it wasn't fixed.
Killed off my dibble to start growing something else, and boom. Crash again bleh Dx
@rich niche
Haven't been able to use the scent mechanic at all
I tried deleting the "saved" folder as well as reseting the controls in the start menu
any sugestions?
Saved folder has been deleted, so let's see if this does anything. Sorry for the late response.))
Are you having the problem with using scent too?
Noes, I had a completely different issue. ;; -- Am currently in game, waiting to see if it'll happen again.
that sucks
Yeah. It's sadly still crashing as well. Roaming around a bit, like I can play and then poof, it dies on me. </3
Actually, do i have to be on dev branch to use scent?
Noes, it's on official client now, just have to hold down Q as normal and it'll soon pop up.
Alright well thats what I'm doing and it's not working
held it for about 15 seconds
I think something is wrong with the commands itself
the tips dont show [Q] when the tip on highlighting water shows up
it just looks like []
same with a few other controls
Yeah, hopefully one of the others will be able to get to you about it. Have you changed any of your keybinds?
Not sure
I havent played in a long time
I hit reset in the control settings
and clicked apply
Try manually setting the key?
I did and that didnt work
It's weird because Q is set in the settings
just doesnt work in game
Yeah, I'm super unsure. I've never had that problem before. D:
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder
Redo the steps
Restart your computer as well after itâs deleted
Alright, all restarted and got on Isle. Let's see if it'll stay up this time around ;;
So far so good on my end. If I have an issue again, I'll definitely let you know. đ
excellent! that did it. Thank you so much!
Woo! Glad they were fixed for you too!
Glad we could kill two birds with one stone
Hello all, I just bought the Isle yesterday and everytime i try and launch it i get a fatal error. Anyone have any tips on what i can try? I have tried the following: Verifying the cache, running the shipping.exe, uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as trying to update all my drivers. My system should be capable of running the game based on the specs provided so i am just at a loss of what i am missing.
I have a thread on steam right now but i figured i would ask here too.

These are the stats of my system
Nope, still gives me the error. Sad times.
Gross, try this: Go to your Steam folder - Common - The Isle - The Isle - Binaries - Win64 - TheIsle-Win64-Shipping.exe
Run the shipping exe
If that doesnât work, you wonât be able to run the isle with your computer until you upgrade your gpu
Damn, for sure.
Yeah, unfortunately the isle doesnât work with integrated graphics
How do I fix this issue, it pops up when I launch the isle now never had it before
Iâve never seen that error until recently, try verifying the integrity of your files and see if that fixes it
Run Windows update as well and download any updates and restart your computer

might be the GPU falling behind in perfomance, their latest driver is of 2016
I mean I played the isle yesterday to idk
Though I somehow lost windows 10 I was never on 8 could that be an issue ?
update to 10?
i meant your GPU's driver
Your graphics card is below the minimum required to play and you need to update it severely
idk how one could downgrade OS just like that tbh
It was weird everything on my pc was gone then I had to do a repair etc
Then it shot me back to windows 8.1 wont even let me install Geforce without some system error
Sounds like you need to do a system restore or search for a virus/Trojan
Thatâs not normal
got it working
Howâs that
Got my thing back to windows 10
launched the isle and boom
- making sure all my drivers were up to date
Gotcha
were the other users with the same issue on win8 too @amber tide?
Iâd have to relook >.<
It actually looks like theyâre all lower than win10 @pale pike
Jinxed it lol
yeah its letting me download geforce again which is nice
Yeah thatâs good, glad itâs fixed now
Anyone know a fix for not pulling up servers? I have loads of hours never had an issues. Last night i crashed and ever since then i cannot pull up any servers private or official. I reverified, I reinstalled, I rebooted my PC, and i made sure i still had an exemption in my firewall...Im lost now
@granite portal

@amber tide Your a legend sir! That got it done thanks again
Youâre welcome! Welcome back:)
Sometimes at random points my game just freezes? I have to close it in task manager and i dont know whats wrong
You would have to update your drivers
Okay, ill try that
My buddy had this issue on his laptop, when he moves to his PC it goes away..Only difference between his laptop and pc is Ram his laptop is its 4 ram his pc is 16. (6 gigs of ram is the min requirement)
