Then reboot your pc and try playing on a server again

So i've been having issues for 3 days now, I am unable to see any NA servers(but i can see china and EU and oceanic servers..), no i am not using a VPN my IP address is not in another country, and yes my computer is set to US not any other country, i've uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice now, and can only connect if i have a friend on an NA server. Even then I keep getting booted to the 2nd or 3rd servers of the same server name when the servers aren't even full and it takes about 5-10 minutes of logging out and retrying over and over. Resetting my computer didn't help, restarting steam didn't help, tried changing my region from us east to central and that didn't help either. Also yes i have tried opening up the game from the game files instead of the steam library. Does anyone have any solutions to help me >.<

Is there a button to start replays still? I've been up and down the controls list trying to find it and I cant. The only way I can get replays to start is using the auto record function, but 50% of the time it actually fails to record despite showing the icon in the top right... (playing on a server that allows them.)

@dim notch Replays are disabled by default on servers. You'll need to find a server with them enabled. T to record, T to stop. The recording indicator currently doesn't function properly.

Yes, people use them frequently to report rule breakers. I will have a replay work perfectly one day, be able to veiw it, and then the next day i'll take a different one and it'll turn out my game never recorded at all.

I can not bite/attack with any dino while I'm making a right turn. Neither herbi nor carni.
This only happen with right turn. If I turn my head to the right while standing, I am able to bite.

Normally if it's a firewall issue they just don't show at all. Are you sure you have the latest version installed? Are you connecting to outdated servers?

Hi! I am now experiencing errors in The isle. I can not run even if I buy a game and run it. Your computer has no problems. There is no problem with your computer skills. But I can not find the server. Only the loading is repeated. I created a server name and created a map. However, I only had to look at the black screen.

I've had this resolution bug for about a week or so now and I've done everything I can to try and fix it. I have no idea what to do. This computer is brand new and meets the minimum requirements, so I don't know what could've caused this bug. It's only on this computer, on my other one all of the settings for that monitor are normal.

at 200 player slot I'd guess it might come from the server, though you can test it out by playing on the official which has a lower slot limit to see if it still does it.

If you're not seeing servers populate it's almost always an issue with your security settings or a few settings tweaks that need to be made
Make sure you've added security exclusions for Steam as well as TheIsle.exe
Reducing the Max Pings/Minute in your Steam settings has also been surprisingly helpful for issues like this
Setting the Max pings to 1000 or even 500 is what I'd recommend trying first if for nothing else than testing purposes

I put this same tread in the big discussion page so prepare for some redundancy. Ok so, I have an issue I’ve asked about on the steam troubleshoot with no avail, maybe y’all can help me here. OK so, I've been having this issue when I have high ping on servers, where I will bite a dinosaur repeatedly, but the dinosaur makes pain noises every five bites or so, so I think most of my bites are either not registering or the server is trying to catch up to how many times I bit something. My ping ranges from 300-500 in these circumstances and I was wondering if I am actually missing my hits or my lag only lets me register one bite every few seconds?
I was attacking a stationary ava as a juvie rex by standing and biting it. After I bit it the first time, I couldn't hear any pain noises from it until about 5-6 seconds later... And then 2 more pain noises, then silence, while I kept biting. Is this lag? Am I going to straight up miss my bites? I have a decent connection speed and can download several gigs in about 30 minutes.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I've searched the internet for answers and I can't figure out how to fix this.
I was in game and the game was completely fullscreen, no taskbar, no tab header, nothing except the game. Then I hit some random buttons on accident and now my game is, while saying full screen, isn't the same full screen as it was before. I go to my desptop whenever I move my mouse to the bottom, exiting me out of the game, and I can't make the white bar at the top go away.
Any ideas or anyone know how to fix this?

Any fix on network refusing to work after repeatedly refreshing server list...? Its like nothing would load, even google, and I need to wait a few minutes before I try to find servers or any network related thing start to work again. Many of friends I play with have exactly the same issue, and I am surprised that one game can cause that.. any ideas how to fix it?

@honest river really doubt the game can cause your whole network to malfunction but it any case, you can try the solution below and see if it helps with server result.

I'm having a similar issue to joceratops, as in my game won't update and when I try to play on a server it tells me I must restart steam and update. I've tried doing that and restarting steam a bunch of times with no luck. I also tried running both steam and the game as an administrator but it's still not recognizing that there's an update.

@devout gulch if you're experiencing the no cursor bug when joining a server, try running the game in windowed mode and pressing the Windows key on your keyboard when the cursor vanishes. this should bring it back and you can click on the right spot on the game window to get to the next screen.

I was trying to update the game, but I guess I don't have enough storage on my hard drive. This is a gaming laptop and this is the only game I have on this computer, I am not sure how much the game takes up on my hard drive but it may have consumed most of my disk space. So I posted a while ago about menu lag problems which got to the point where my entire PC froze in the menu. What fixed it for me was UNPLUGGING MY XBOX CONTROLLER from the PC.
So if anyone else is having issues with menu lag and just a wierd buggy menu, unplug all peripherals and see if that makes a difference.

has anyone ever figured out why some people have issues finding servers?? There's a ton of servers that don't show up for me but they show up at my bf's house. My friends are currently having trouble finding servers too. All the popular ones just don't show up, but I'll get lots of Chinese or euro ones

I ask since My ping to any V3 server is horrible now (500+ when there is a high server population) . Now My internet is kinda bad, but up in till today I would have a ping in the 300's. My ping has been horrible lately as well. Only for this game.
So I'm getting the "no servers found" thing, and I'm able to find servers through the steam-view thing. But I've found that when I try to join a server, it will most of the time take me to the wrong one. For example, if I join nycta 3, it will take me to a random nycta server. I don't know which one until I spawn in. So I just have to keep restarting the game over and over until it finally takes me to the one I want. And when the server crashes it's a huge pain in the ass.

Suddenly the sound in general is louder in right ear and I don't really know how to fix it. For example when running as juv raptor the footsteps are like 80% on right ear, same as scrollin in the menu. When I run as adult utah the footsteps are back to normal

Hey, so im currently on a wifi extender due to the distance i am from my router. It works fine for every game expect for The isle, every time i try to play i am able to stay connected for roughly 10mins before my internet completely drops and i have to disconnect and reconnect it for it to pick up again. Ive lowered both my max download rate and pings per minute on steam to no avail. Anyone have any tips?

open the command prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:

Then reboot your pc and try playing on a server again

@versed tiger it indicates that your computer is below the minimum requirements. Depending on how much lower than the minimum requirements it is, it could affect your loading, but you could also happen to be able to load just fine. You will have to try it to see.

To fix the scent issue, windows search bar: %localappdata%, the Isle Folder, delete the Saved folder inside.

I don't have sniff and according to a friend, the order of my controls are incorrect (the bindings are fine and stuff).

@orchid vector You need to regenerate your Saved folder. Navigate to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\TheIsle and delete the "Saved" folder, then restart your game.
You will then be able to use scent/change the bind.
If you're still unable to find it, let me know.

@pale pike thank you for replaying, i dont think it is a harrdware problem, cus it works on other games so it would be the isle or any other applcaion related to the isle.
and yes at a point i have installed reshade, but i have uninstalled it and resinstalled the isle
altho i am not sure if any residue of reshade would still be active

I mentionned Reshade because it's the prime cause of it from my experiences but anything with an overlay (i.e the discord overlay) may come in conflict with steam causing the issue. @copper axle

so it must have been somthing during that period of time
and on my end i could only think of using reshade
so it should be it
but now i have problem figuring out how to completely remove it other than uninstalling the isle and remove the entire folder

Ok so, I sort have the ‘no-server’ problem, but all the servers appear besides the offical ones, the only one that appears is US3 (yes I have tried moving the number of servers), so what should I do (if it isn’t a connection problem since the connection of the hotel I’m at is complete ass to the point where sometimes I can’t even get onto a server due to the connection)

@cobalt forum just make sure you fully shut down everything that involves Steam it's usually caused by error with steam itself but if that doesn't work you just got to restart your PC

When Patch 0.1.53.0 was released, I tried to update my game. But the update never worked, I tried everything Google told me to do, cleared my cache, repaired files, changed my region, changed my download ping, restarted my computer, restarted Steam, verified local files, uninstalled The Isle, can't move game folder since its updating, restarted the update, checked my CPU (and its fine), checked my ram (also fine), updated system & drivers, investigated firewalls, investigated anti-virus software.
None of this helped or worked, in the past some of it has. Every time I try to update The Isle when an updates available, it always does this. It takes so damn long to update and sometimes doesn't update at all. Uninstalling and reinstalling takes up to a week, sometimes more, but usually fixes it. This is the first time it hasn't fixed it.
Right now the games at 53.4 MB / 52.4 MB, has been for days. It always says "Stopping" at times too, and pauses the update on its own.

That processor does not support DirextX 11. In order to play the Isle on your desktop you'll need to buy a graphics card that supports DirectX 11 or DirectX 12.
In this case, it's a hardware issue and not a software issue.

I have done that too. I have reported this issue months ago and they told me to do that exact thing. Does not solve the issue. And I can log fine to other servers except official ones.

Alright, I was redirected to this discord from another to report an issue and I guess it falls under troubleshooting?
So, ever since the most recent update, I've had an extremely hard time loading into servers.
The game loads fine, runs fine, but the second I hit 100% and should be loaded into a server, my game freezes for a few minutes, and then crashes.
I have to both restart my laptop at that point, and uninstall/reinstall the game.
After doing those two things, I can get into servers. But now the problem has occurred, that if I try to respawn as another dino, the game crashes then too.
None of this used to happen and I'm at a loss here as to what I can do to permanently fix this issue.
Any helpful feedback from literally anyone is greatly appreciated

add theisle.exe to your anti virus/firewall exclusion list.
and then
open the command prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
Then reboot your pc and try playing on a server.
