@marble falcon your laptop will 100% not be able to run the game bc its a laptop with hardware in it that's meant for checking emails and going on facebook. Depending on what your desktop specs are, they might be able to run it. But if its a desktop you bought at a store that isn't labeled as a "gaming desktop" it probably wont be able to run the game either

I don't get any AI on IGP's server. It is on but has stopped appearing for me. If I go somewhere where other people are causing them to spawn they are there. But they do not spawn for me... Anyone know if this is a known issue?

ive been having some issues with gaining access to ANY servers to play the game.. I realize that everyone has been getting the minimum requirements issue bug on the main screen, I can host my own servers totally fine but for some reason the dial on the server search just keeps going and going and going... an added not too at the top right of the server search theres a shield and lock icon not sure what that is either if it has anything to do with servers not showing up for me.

There's only one version. You're probably deleting the wrong file, as there's an older Saved file that is no longer used.
Hit Windows+R, then type %localappdata% in the box and press Enter.
Find the folder titled "TheIsle" and inside of it you'll see the correct "Saved" folder.
Delete that one. It will reset your graphics settings as well as your keybindings, and any missing keybindings will appear.

Tried someone's suggestion , and while it gives me a few more community servers, the official servers still aren't showing up. you can also try a quick dns reset that might help.
open the command prompt as an administrator and running the following commands:
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
Then reboot your pc and look at the server browser again.

At the top left of Steam you’ll see a little button labeled “Steam”, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle. @frosty karma

So basically I got a rtx 2070, and I put on max setting on the Isle, and I was disappointed because my results of fps were only 40-30
I think the cause is because my 8gb ram pc, but also are epic / cinematic setting similar? I refuse to believe that a video card can run witched III ai 80 fps full HD but no the Isle

Cinematic is an engine feature, it disables level of detail streaming almost entirely, so everything is at its maximum quality all the time, even if it's only a really tiny speck on your screen. The quality setting is only really there for taking hi-res screenshots or if you own a PC that's ridiculously powerful.
And yeah, it's more than just your GPU that matters. We're fairly CPU-bound and memory intensive with streaming map tiles in and out a lot of the time.

You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

So we are having issues with commands on our server. Just wondering if anyone has found a way around this. We type /goto Rea or /goto "Rea" but it takes us to Creature (which has Rea) in the name. That's integrated graphics. According to the Store page, not compatible with the Isle.

If I'm not mistaken someone further up mentioned having integrated graphics on their laptop/computer and the game ran fine. I think he said it had something to do with the DirectX version, as most integrated graphics only support up to DirectX 10, and you need DirectX 11 minimum to get something even resembling good performance according to the minimum requirements.

Hey so, I've noticed this ever since I bought the game, but whenever I press the "Refresh" button when looking for a server, I often come up with "No Servers Found." This is with hide outdated, hide empty, secure, and official all checked. After about 20-30 refreshes I do end up getting some results of the official servers I am trying to join, but they are often full, which leads to needing to refresh again.

@vague zealot Try the following: Click "Steam" in the top left of your Steam library. Go to settings > ingame > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000.
You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

Tras instalarlo todo correctamente creo una partida y cuando elijo el modo de partida, supervivencia, modo sandbox etc.. al darle iniciar se queda la pantalla en negro y no avanza..
- La primera vez de todas me ha dejado entrar para elegir dinosaurio herbívoro o carnívoro pero al ver que no habían muchos he salido y me he puesto en modo sandbox, entonces ya no me ha funcionado...
He probado varias cosas, como ir al panel de control de nvidia siguiendo estos pasos:
1 - Ve al Panel de Control de NVIDIA
2 - Ve a Controlar la configuración 3D
3 - En Configuración global ve a "Modo de control de energía" y dale a Máximo rendimiento preferido
3 - Ve a Configuración de programa, a tu navegador y haz lo mismo (no está así por defecto en el navegador, en los demás juegos que te saldrán sí).
He instalado GeForce Experience, me he actualizado los ultimos drivers hasta la fecha, y el juego sigue igual... porque antes si y ahora no... me he gastado 20€ para poder jugar, no para tirarlos a la basura.

Hello Good community, I need help ...
After installing everything correctly I create a game and when I choose the starting mode, survival mode, sandbox etc .. when you start, the screen remains black and does not advance ..
- The first time of all I was allowed to enter to choose herbivore or carnivorous dinosaur but seeing that there were not many I left and I put in sandbox mode, then it has not worked for me ...
I've tried several things, like going to the nvidia control panel by following these steps:
1 - Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel
2 - Go to Control 3D configuration
3 - Under Global Settings go to "Power Control Mode" and hit Maximum preferred performance
3 - Go to Program settings, to your browser and do the same (it is not like this by default in the browser, in the other games that will come out).
I installed GeForce Experience, I have updated the latest drivers to date, and the game remains the same ... because before yes and now ... I have spent € 20 to play, not to throw them away.
Any solution? Thank you!!

Hello! I'm from NA and my friends are playing on EU servers; I've had no problem joining their sesions trough the "join game" option on the friendlist on steam.
But today they joiend a new official server : EU 3
When I click on Join game, nothing happens, but I can join any other session /server (EU and NA)

a) can't find it in the Isle server directory,
b) Try manually connecting through Steam Server Directory and get dropped into some other server, or
c) Try to Join Game/get Invited in game to the server and get sent to ANOTHER random server.

Game freezes upon loading into the server despite having sound off and settings on low. Frequent big freezes as I continue playing as well. (I figured out a way around the lack of a cursor by alt tabbing)
Just listing off symptoms since I hid my dino before trying this: freeze as well when I turn sound back on when it was otherwise muted. Might be related to the same bug with the skin menu

Discovered that I have to keep -nosound on even in game. Something with sounds is definitely causing the freezing and it might either be tied to ambient/weather/ or the new music

So yea I can't play because when the message of the day comes up, regardless of server I am unable to close it or have access to my mouse. I don't know what is causing it but felt like I should verify that I have tried to log into multiple servers to see if it was explicitly the ones I frequent and no its all of them.

It doesn't work. Because I am in the choose a Dino screen ~ as I died last night. I push Tab and nothing happens, like the game doesn't respond to me doing anything. It's as if it is acting like I don't have anything hooked up ~ but its fine prior to me loading in and getting ready to choose a dino on a server.
If you push the window button and then press U it fixes the issue if ANYONE else is having an issue in the faction screen when loading in to choose a faction

At the top left of Steam you’ll see a little button labeled “Steam”, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.

help just loaded the isle for my son to play but all i get after i have loaded it is this message {the global shadercache file c:/program files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/the isle/enhine/globalShaderCache-PCD3D_sm4.bin'is missing. Your applicayion is built to load COOKED contemt. no COOKED content was found;this usualy means you did not cook content for this build. it also may indicate missing cooked data for a shader platform (e.g. open gl under windows , have loaded and unloaded then loaded again to see if it would fix but no luck

i can't get my mouse cursor in game when I load into the server menu...any fix for this?

Issue: Not sure why this is happening. Yesterday I downloaded the updates and had a play through things fine. Now its the next morning and I'm having an issue. When I go to join a server, after the percentage reaches 100% and shows me the server's message of the day my mouse/trackpad completely stops working. I cannot see any mouse icon or click on anything. This is quite annoying as I can't close the message and progress into the creation of my dino. I started up my own test sandbox server to see what colors I like on certain dinos, and strangely the mouse works normally in that scenario. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can get back to playing with other people. I'll post my system info below.

Any way to fix the stupid audio bug that causes your game to go 0 frames? I heard it has something to do with my AMD 8300 Processor. I really need help. The MOTD cannot be closed as the cursor isn't showing up. Can only fix that with having a second monitor. Any other solutions?

I deleted the saved folder in my files to get my sniff/burrowing to work cause it wasn't and when i reloaded the saved file wasn't there anymore. It says if i delete the saved folder it should come back/restore upon relaunch so what am I doing wrong or how do i get it back.

Anyone else experiencing "pending connection failure" while trying to log on the servers? I got this issue after the latest patch and so did my friend. After clicking on the server, there is a black screen for like 5 seconds and after that it goes to 38% loading and "pending connection failure". I have read old steam convos about this but launching steam as administrator didn't help. Idk whats wrong. It's so damn annoying ;_;

Servers will have replays disabled by default until enabled manually. It's likely the server you're on has them disabled; not that they're in a functional state anyway.

Im curious as to why its very hard to get servers to appear in my search list. Ill have to refresh many many times to finally get US1/US2 to appear, but I can NEVER seem to get US3 to appear. I refreshed about 200 times before I got it to appear once. Ive tried selecting or unselecting or typing in pretty much everything. Why cant we save servers on a preferred list so we dont have to "find" them and have them never appear?"

I only found two people that have fixed your issue @safe beacon One of them updated all of their drivers and the other changed their internet provider. A third one actually Uninstalled Steam itself and reinstalled everything and that fixed it. I'm not finding many solutions for that issue as the message states it's from the Host.
It looks like PunchPacket has told people to go to a command prompt as Admin (Windows Key + R, CMD as Administrator), type netsh winsock reset, restart computer. See if that works?

VAC bans are automatically issued by Steam. The Isle devs have no control over it per PunchPacket. That sucks.

VAC bans trigger automatically when Steam detects outside software manipulating your game. Not mods or programs like Reshade but more severe things like cheats.

The VAC ban as I understand it will permanently be part of your account's record but you can try reaching out to Valve to see if they can repeal the ban

There's probably no fix for this, but I have a bug where the alignment of other dinosaurs doesn't show on my screen. Everything is facing in a random direction and drifting around without turning to face the direction they're moving. It's a pretty crippling bug since I can't see where my prey or predators are facing when hunting/being hunted

So, for some odd reason, once I installed "The Isle :: Patch 0.1.52.9", I can only see a few servers. I've checked my filters and tried changing them. The really odd part is if I ask for a specific server, like One in a Box, 1 of the 4-5 servers show up. Each time I hit refresh, it changes between the one that appears, but only shows me 2 of them. Any ideas on a fix?

So I have this problem where only a handful of servers show up on my screen at once. In order to find the server I want I have to push refresh like 100 times. Even when I have all of the boxes un ticked, I still barely get any servers. Does anyone know why this might be?

i usually keep server search results at 100 or 200 and type in a portion of the server name into the server name search bar and that usually helps. i also have "hide outdated" ticked off
but if you wanna see basically all servers, you gotta set it to 1000. it takes longer to show servers than 100 but youll get 10x the results

No, it's not supported by The Isle. It doesn't have the required RAM or hardware

Always check the Minimum recommended requirements for a game to be sure you can play or ask in the Community section. I don't think there's anything you can do without upgrading the video system.

If you do decide to upgrade your card, it should have at least 2 GB of VRAM and support DirectX 11. Gives you something to shoot for!

Ok so i just finished downloading again and it still doesnt work. The game is still very unresponsive and some features dont work.
Eating and drinking seem to not work regularly. I was able get my trike to eat and drink while hold E and pressing the f12. I don't know why this worked but after a while it didn't work anymore (tried while drinking)
I was able to fill up my food and water through this method.
I checked my fps and frames and they are normal.
While strafing (pressing w and d at same time) the dino is very choppy and goes each way for a split second instead of a smooth strafe.
While holding Q, the dino rubberbands in the animation and I am unable to sniff a direction. If i am holding Q and press f12 it started to work a bit then stopped working again.
Could the issue be family-share related. I use the steam feature on the game with no malicious intent. I recently started using this feature and am now having issues for the first time....

That said, open a Command Prompt with Admin privileges, type "netsh winsock reset". Restart your computer and see if it helps

I noticed I have 300 ping on and EU server and 500 ping on other EU servers located in london, which Ins't to far away from me (Netherlands) Is there anything I can do to get better ping for this game, because I only have it on The Isle.

I would think though that if you can see them in the Steam Server Browser but not the Isle it has to be firewall or A/V related. Just kinda thinking out loud here. @hardy pumice at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.

Their server browser needs some work, it happens to me too. You could also try 1500 or 500 to see if it helps
Try searching by name or partial name? Sometimes my own server doesn't show for me even though I know it's there.

Then don't search partially. Serisouly, sometimes not using any search terms gets it to the top of the list
also make sure your server search number is at 1000.

I can't join the servers I normally join now, it keeps saying "Pending Connection Failure" and then I can't do anything else and I had no problem with it a few hours before. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've tried several things...

Do I just wait for the cursor dissapearing on selection screen bug to be fixed? Ive scrolled through all of the fixes anyone has ever mentioned and none of them work. Even if I get the Carn/Herb tab to highlight, clicking on it cancels out the selection. I currently have absolutely no way to play.

Try adding theisle.exe in your antivirus/firewall exclusion list and do this :
Right Click on the Start Icon.
Click on Command Prompt.
The Windows Command Prompt Window will appear. Type in: ipconfig /flushdns. and press ENTER.
You should receive the following message: Windows IP Configuration. Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
Not sure how one fixes a missing cursor on the dino selection screen.

Check/Change her IP address
Or shut off her VPN if she's using one. Her IP address is based outside the US if that's happening

Hi All,
Anyone able to help me with spawning as a grown adult dino and skipping growth on survival mode on a dedicated server, i followed some guides but cant get this working

@split sand the "hide HUD" is set to ctrl+h in my settings but the actual key is now F10
it switched over with the last update but the in-game list of controls doesn't show it :/
@bleak yoke "dedicated server" as in you clicked the "Host" button from the server menu?
just spawn in as juvie and type /grow in the chatbox, then hit escape and click Growth, type /grow again to get to full adult

thanks to all that responded, while going through i made a slight error, simple safe log before editing file i must have been just logging out, editting file quick uploading and the server was still reading the file from ingame as i have set log out time to 60 secs,
problem solved 😉
I have another question though, is it possible to set water dinos for example Spino to not swim so they walk under water giving them the advantage to ambush from below when someone drinks?

guys i can't enter official server EU 3 and some other servers
the only server i've been able to join so far was pangaea survival
but i have a bunch of friends at official EU 3 but for some reason i can't enter

some people have a similar problem, for them it says 'host closed connection' but I've never seen a solution for it, might have overlooked it though
