@main olive The animation here also happens, runs normally, but does not enter the servers. just know that the game gave problem when I use CTRL + ALT + DEL and it appears that "not responding". and it happens instantly when I click to enter any server. the game stops responding as soon as I click on "Enter"

After reinstalling and trying different settings, it still would seem Texture settings lower than Epic doesn't load at all for me :/ I could run Thenyaw on High texture setting previously without problems a few patches ago. I don't have the best PC but it used to run just fine.

Im still pretty much having the same issue. No matter what I have tried Im still stuck on the loading screen(yes the animations still play as if its loading) but after trying many times to log on a server I was finally able to get on one. I was able to play for maybe 40ish so minutes before my connection timed out and I was kicked out the server and when I tried to re join I was greeted with the same issue again of being stuck on the loading screen. Since last night I have yet to be able to join a server again, I even did what was suggested by Punch with the engine.ini file but it has no effect on the matter.

I seem to not be able to set my main attack/fire back to left click, my mouse works perfectly fine but clicking it to set it as left click just doesn't seem to work and I'm not sure why, I can set any other key but if i try left click on any it just doesn't work. Just found out I'm also unable to set it to any mouse buttons but they all are working fine.

This last update really fubared my performance. I have a GTX 1080, 64GB of RAM and a AMD Ryzen 1800x. Before this last update I got amazing performance...now my game is freezing and lagging, like just now, I died because my game just froze for about 10 seconds. I'm running everything on Cinematic, as I was before, should I reduce a setting or do something specific to fix this issue on this update?

Cinematic settings are not optimized for gameplay, so that may be related to your issues. Having said that, I believe the newly added fireflies cause a tank in performance when there's too many of them

My old laptop had a 960M in it, which ran the game at 25+ fps on mostly medium-high settings
If you were to get a laptop with a 1050Ti that would score about the same as the desktop 760. Those are common in most low-end gaming laptops nowadays
My laptop currently has a 1070 in it which is getting above 70 fps on Epic settings. Had 120 fps on the previous map for the game
Having said all that, I recommend a desktop for gaming if at all possible.

@honest river Unfortunately I have this problem since the upgrade of the devevelopment branch has gone into normal mode. I reinstalled the game, checked the integrity of the files in the steam, cleaned the game registry on my pc and reinstalled. nothing solved. System: Intel I7 2700k 4.2Ghz (overclock) 4 cores / 8 threads, 16Gb RAM, Nvidia Geforce Zotac GTX 1050Ti 4Gb VRAM, HDD 1 TB 7200 RPM. Unfortunately I have not yet found a way to access any server, and even hosting the test level map, it just does not open, it stays on the loading screen forever.

Guessing teleport only uses the name upto a space. Other games with the same teleport function you can use quote marks around the entire name if they have spaces to teleport them. Have you had a look and see if that works instead?

In your Steam Library, find The Isle, and right-click it
Go to Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Then go into the TheIsle folder and delete the Saved folder there. Afterwards, relaunch the game
If that doesn't do it, go back into your local files again, but this time go into the Engine folder and delete the Saved folder there. When these files are missing the game generates new ones automatically, and these are where it keeps track of things like keybindings and graphics settings. So deleting it will put everything back to default

@verbal depot Even with my settings, I always rode the game on cinematic smoothly, on the basis of 40-45 fps in 1920x1080. already tried to do everything, I started the game with the render in 10% and with all the configs in low with the resolution in 800x600, infinite loading persisted. It is not a problem of the performance of the pc, but of the system of the game, this problem came together with the update of the last package of the development branch.

Gonna repost since mine seemed to get drowned out earlier, When I played v3 a few days ago I had extreme fps stuttering, is the map itself not optimized yet or is it more than likely a settings/pc specs issue? I can grab my specs off steam if needed. (Thenyaw runs fine for me - the fireflies sometimes causing fps drops)

Anyone know about the screen zoom issue? Every time I launch the game after adjusting the settings the last time i played, the screen is super zoomed into the top left corner, leaving buttons and options off the screen. I have to keep deleting my config file to play and reset my settings. But it happens every single time.

Alt + Enter should switch you from fullscreen to windowed (and back). Put The Isle into window mode, drag it across to the other screen and put back into full screen.
Also, are your two screens different res?

Would love to post specs if it's really needed, but I'm more or less certain I'm just doing something wrong — I'm just unable to switch from the dev to the base branch to play with a friend on EU servers. Switched using the properties menu, tried restarting steam a number of times, validating files, and then reinstalling the game, and it's somehow still landing me on the dev branch.

Checking official limits the results to official dev servers 2, 3, and 4.

Go here: https://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers - Utilize their autodetect function and download/install the latest drivers for your GPU.
Your screen will flicker on/off during the installation, that's completely normal.
As it uninstalls your old graphics driver and replaces it.

I was playing on the dev servers just fine and my game is on the live branch
- Adjust your Steam In-Game server browser: Max pings / minutes.
At the top left of Steam you’ll see a little button labeled “Steam”, left click that and select settings > in-game > and adjust the dropdown menu at the bottom to around 1000. You may need to tinker around and find the magic number that works for you, afterwards simply hit ok and launch The Isle.
If you're already reinstalling and it doesnt help, try doing that ^^
Can help some of the peskier servers show up
if that fails give punch a tag, I just show people the common fixes when I see people asking for help to try and help people as much as I can

Well the installation of an operating system can be drastically different to the installation of it on a different machine, such as corrupt installations and the likes.
I'd suggest reinstalling your GPU drivers, or potentially reinstalling Windows.

Your computer is far, far below minimum specs for The Isle.
And unfortunately due to the nature of laptops, upgrading it is not really a viable option. You likely won't be playing many games on that computer at all

Good. I feel I should warn you as another computer user though, if your computer is as old as you make it sound like, it may be due for a replacement anyway. Computer parts do wear down over time, and the hard drive in particular is prone to developing bad sectors after 8 or 9 years. If that happens too often it could corrupt Windows and keep it from booting properly.

Right click The Isle in your Steam Library > left click properties > local files > browse local files > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder and re-launch The Isle. It'll reset everything back to default, the folder itself will refresh upon launch.

So sorry about asking this, you guys may already know though, I'm trying to use scent, not sure what the button is, but I've tried many. I remember 'J' being used for old scent, but that didn't work for me last time. If someone could tell me the button I'd greatly appreciate it.

@raven agate Apologies for the late reply. Your computer is unfortunately below our minimum requirements, your duo-core processor is the biggest issue, your NVIDIA GT 740 falling slightly below. The issue you're encountering is that your system is unable to load the map before the server assumes that you've timed out.

@lilac thistle No problem, I believe you have plenty of people to attend to. I even understand that my computer is not all that. But in version 0.1.38.5 I could play on the Thenyaw map, but after upgrading to version 0.1.38.6 I could not play anymore. My computer is the same.

As additions are made to the game it'll become harder and harder for system below our minimum requirements to operate properly, the minimum requirements exist to serve as a guideline for what our users will require by the time the game leaves Early Access. But like I said, I'd suggest adjusting your graphic options and giving it another shot, or seeing if you have any issues on privately hosted community servers.

Hey guys, so since i updated to the devopment branch my computer has started to reset either on login or within 20 or so seconds after log in, prior to the update i was able to run the game on epic without any issues and now i find my game is causing my entire system to reset, I do not recieve a crash repor or an error saying the game caused a crash but this only happens whe ni play the isle, any info on any possible causes?

Hold your Scent key until the animation finishes or begins to loop.

That is the key by default yes.
Look in your keybindings to see if it's listed. If not, you will need to delete your Saved folder to reset your keybindings.
