When I open the game and look for the servers, it's been a couple of days that I find only those with less than 100 Ping. Being in Italy Rogue Realism for me has about 200 pings. the refresh does not help me since every time I do it I get written "No Servers Found". so I have to get out of the game and wait a couple of minutes, because apparently every time I refresh the server page it's like I cut the internet. it completely takes me away from Steam's servers. then I go back to the game, return to the server page and start all over again. It's quite annoying and it takes a lot of time. How do I fix this problem?

Unsub from them all, then afterwards right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > browse local files > open TheIsle folder and delete your "Saved" folder. Then you should just be able to launch the game normally with no issues.

When I try to join a server or make a single player one on devbranch i get the infamous fatal issue error but i unsubbed from all mods and checked my mods tabs and this was here ( The Fatal Error thing still happens )

@pearl oxide I don't know if I'm allowed to tag multiple people in this channel but perhaps you should tell anyone who has the "fatal error issue". Chances are that if you modified any of the in-game files to play as a normally inaccessible creature, then the new patch will cause fatal errors. Dondi actually warned everyone who was using this exploit that they would get fatal errors in the future so this is all avoidable mostly if you don't modify your in-game files.

I keep getting "the connection timed out" error for any dev branch server. I connected once on a devtest sandbox server, but after that I can't get in at all. I'm able to host a server, just can't connect to a public server on dev branch. I've reinstalled the game, checked integrity of game files, all my mods are disabled and the isle is not blocked from firewall. I access the game through: the isle > properties > local files > browse local files > TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > TheIsle-Win64-Test (I run it as administrator)

I live all the way in Australia, the general ping for the servers are around 200-280, could that have any effect? I'm usually fine with connecting into any server.

So I have been having this problem for the past little while and it wasn't effecting me prior to about the past few days where I can search with the most broad or specific parameters for servers and almost none show up, even ones that I know to be live .. I uninstalled and reinstalled a moment ago and that did not fix it.. I also toggled the max results from 500 - 1000 - 5000 and that had no effect either.. was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this! Thanks!

Well your system is definitely below minimum, as if I'm not mistaken the AMD R5 graphics is the AMD equivalent of Intel Integrated Graphics.

Generally when it comes to Early Access games the minimum requirements are more of what you should have by 1.0 (full release) as it'll become harder for your computer as more content/changes are made.

I suppose it's a bit of a longshot but users in your situation have sometimes solved similar issues via clean installations. Basically you uninstall The Isle, delete The Isle folder inside your Steam folder and reinstall the game.

Is there anyway to get unstuck from a set of trees that sucked me in? Was wandering through the forest with our pack and a couple of small trees did a weird collision with my dino and sucked me into the middle between them. Now stuck and cano't get out. Tried logging in and out to try and pop out from between them but still getting pulled in by the collision. On The Isle Official Dev 2.

It's not a guarantee that would fix it for you, but your system specifications are below minimum.. Which all the issues you've described would go with a system spec issue. You will most likely have to upgrade your system in-order to play.

Sorry if someone's already asked about this, I looked and only found one similar thing. I can launch the isle fine as is, no mods, nothing changed in the files.. but the dev branch (which I've never tried before) when I switched to it on start up it gives me a fatal error? I even switched it back to none to double check if it was just the dev branch. Is there anything to be done?

Right click The Isle in your Steam Library > left click properties > local files > browse local files > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder and re-launch The Isle. It'll reset everything back to default, the folder itself will refresh upon launch.

I'd suggest doing this then, uninstall The Isle from the Steam library. Afterwards navigate through the Steam library until you come across The Isle folder, delete The Isle folder. After you've erased all trace of The Isle from your Steam directory you simply reinstall the game. Often a clean installation has solved many a fatal error.

Erm if anyone could help me, I cant join any servers. As in, I get on the server-list, it works fine - I pick a server and press join, and it takes hours to join. But then it crashes. I've heard to unsub from mods, I did so moments ago and tried to join a server to have it say "A connection failure is already pending."

I check my download/update page in steam and Isle is not on the list, however i have to wait for the message to complete its 'update'. I hope this is worded good enough for you to understand.

If you are subscribed to any mods in the workshop, when they update, they'll update through steam, but its supposed to tell you in the downloads area that its workshop content as well

Basically i just got back into the dev Branch and Thenyaw isn't loading at all it seems, i've been trying to join the dev servers but the loading screen is endless and ends up taking me back to the title screen after a few minutes, telling me my connection to the Host has been lost. Tried hosting Thenyaw in singleplayer but same problem. My specs should also be fine.

@lilac thistle this is for a friend but every time he tries to connect to a sever on dev branch he gets kicked out of the sever with a error message. So I added an exception to window defender (I even tried to disable windows defender), uninstalled the game... but still don't find any server to play

Hm, you'll most likely have to keep deleting your saved folder until it works for the time being. Unless.. Let me check something real quick.

@honest river Delete your saved folder, afterwards relaunch The Isle so the saved folder refreshes then close your game. Afterwards open up your saved folder and go to Config > WindowsNoEditor > Input > from there you should be able to change your controls manually.

I also fall smack in the middle of the min and recommended system settings to be able to run the isle. Anyone have any tips however on how to fix the connection errors? I've tried restarting the game, verifying the integrity of game files, and then switching back to the normal game then back to Dev branch to see if that'd solve it.

Update: I've now tried switching off dev branch again and it will not update my game now back to the base game. If anyone has any advice on how to fix these issues please let me know.

So I’ve reinstalled the isle, it still takes an age to start up, puts my PC into overdrive and when I try join a server it loads forever then says timeout connection lost (my net is running fine). If I’m lucky and get in it takes like 5min to render me in. I don’t even know what to do anymore DX Ima cri

I can hear my PC thinking in overdrive, and the game still takes ages to login to a server. It sits on the “loading system” screen for a good 2min at least. Whereas at max it would take me 30sec to get in to a server.

Just like some of the other people in here, I have the problem that I can never get onto servers due to the game loading for 5 mins then being told my connection timed out. Ive tried running as a admin, switching to normal branch and back, uninstalling the isle and reinstalling it, exluding the file, going into offline mode, and deleting all my screenshots, still the same thing happens. So any other ideas on how I can fix this?

Keep getting this error everytime I turn on my computer and start The Isle. It goes away after awhile and Im able to start The Isle like normal but the error will come back after I close down the game and start it back up after I was just playing it. Tried verifying files, restarting steam, reinstalling the game, and restarting my computer but the error keeps popping up and disappearing.

@lilac thistle Alright, i still got trouble with the infinite loading screen on Thenyaw. So far i completed these steps; Started both Steam and Isle as an admin, deleted my Screenshots an switched back and forth on branches. Still got the infinite loading screen problem, after roughly 5 minutes it just kicks me back to the Title Screen with the message that the connection to the host has been lost. My Connection is fine and my system specs meet the requirements. My Firewall also isn't blocking The Isle. Any more ideas of what may cause this?

i'm not using the firewall on G-Data so i got several exclusions for the Isle on the Windows Defender, but i actually don't think that counts for the entire Folder.

I meet most of the requirements for the isle. I’m on Windows 10, my graphics card doesn’t meet it. Maybe that’s why? But that wouldn’t explain it doing it. I tried switching back and forth, running steam as an administrator, and restarting steam as a whole.

@lilac thistle Im having a problem where that when I joined a DV testlevel map on the Devmode server...
I was no longer able to play on any OTHER server at all! when I tried to join I first get a loading screen that is 5+ mins and then when I got in I get the normal balck screen Im used to and I fully get in like a fraction of a second I was kicked out and back to the main screen and having a box saying "Lost connection to server" or something like that. I tried EVERYTHING to get into the servers. nothing worked. pls help me!

@orchid vector Have you tried running TheIsle.exe as an administrator? Right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > browse local files > TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > and right click "TheIsle-Win64-Test" then left click "Run as Administrator".

You want to find TheIsle folder located within your Steam directory and set an exclusion for the folder itself.

That's most likely the issue.. Seeing as McAfee is a rather.. zealous program.

Exclude TheIsle-Win64-Test as well, so go to add file again then go back to your Isle folder then go into TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > exclude TheIsle-Win64-Test

That comes standard with Windows 10, though seeing as you have McAfee your McAfee should be controlling Windows Defender.
