also, if it was 2,000 years, there'd be bugger all human structures left. modern concrete is pretty poor at lasting
well thats what it says
no, i mean, 99.9999 days ago
doesnt look it
it's fuzzy as hell, but the gap implies a decimal point
are there any clearer ones than the one you posted?
but i'll agree that the space i weird for not having one
ill check
clearest one at first glance
but not by that much
one sec
i'll doing something
aye
wait, i did calculation wrong last time
i forgot the last divide
if it was somehow 999999 days
114.155136986
there
more realistic than 2000
but maybe not as realistic as 11
though if 11.42 years is accurate, it's surprising anything on the islands still works, like the cameras and radio tower.
sure, there's hydroelectric dams, but those require frequent maintenance and will fail after a few years without any. (even if the water still flows, the turbines would lock up and stop producing power)
then maybe maintenance is automatic? or humans are still alive on the island?
V3 does have a more conventional looking power-plant as well, but it's unclear how it operates, given it's an incomplete asset
yeah
and all the elecrtic cables were cut from the place near the docks so nothing in that area should have power at all
unless backup gens, and a few of em to be still running after 11 yrs
wait no, i think im a dunse
i dont know if any of those numbers are right
im tired so i didnt check, ill go through it again and see if anything different comes up
how would the maintenance be automatic? turbines would require some repair and manual cleaning once in a while, and even if they continued functioning beyond expectations, there's hardly any powerlines, and even if back-up generators are there, general functions would break down, like the cameras' servomotors, or lights on the buildings would burn out, or electrical wiring could short out or be broken
if its 99,999.9 days it would be it would be 273.97 years
so any electronics or anything would be absolutely screwed
aye
however if it's 99.9999 days it would be 0.27 years
so that would make sense for everything to maybe work
the structures might still be mostly standing, though concrete would be crumbling badly (modern concrete is pretty poor compared to ancient concrete), and steel and iron would be rusting to dust
but the buildings wouldnt get in the state they're in now in that amount of time
I'd say malfunction, or an incorrect display. There's no way to tell where the decimal point lies.
yeah
0.27 years would make sense given the current state of the structures and surviving electricals
thi is just speculation at this point
granted, as Froglegs suggests, it's entirely possible it's an error
but i think 0.27 is definitely more accurate
random corruption happens all across any console interactions
isn't there some weird lines referenced?
mhnm
would certainly explain some errors
hard to read, but one definitely mentions a system fault
and something about countermeasures
'signal source locked'
any idea what that means?
'is anyone there?'
someone trying to communicate
so there could be survivors?
maybe
I was looking at the " end is never the end" and "is anyone there?" As a older and fresh profile
One loosing it's mind
Mercs are coming eventually. perhaps it's hinting at either a survivor noticing mercs, or Mercs accessing a mainframe on the island and looking for others?
The other hoping there's a chance of help
could be
i think the merc idea is probably a the best chance at being true tho
brb
999999999 is usually the go to for malfunctions in games. I've seen it done in Subnautica aswell and it turned out to be nothing in the end all though people thought it was some secret code
thats a couple too many nines my friends
but if this isnt anything mega important, it at least tells us how many years the dinos have had to themselves to grow
The number of the 9s isnt important. It's just a malfunction.
The dinos clearly havent had 2000 years on there own because there are still buildings and shit there
Aswell as the fact we know in the lore that it takes place in like the 2010s
so the 11 years is more correct
and youcant prove its just a mlafunction
if you get undeniable proof from devs or something ill not argue with that, but until you come up with that, im staying true to this theory
and just saying, read conversation before coming in because i corrected myself on the 200 year part, and you'd know that i foyu read it, or you were just trying to use it to solidify your arguement?
I don't have undeniable proof, but evidence certainly suggests its a malfunction
There are many malfunctions clearly seen in the game, and other games use 999 figures usually to highlight malfunctions like the aforementioned Subnautica and so on. And you listed many different figures in your conversation your were considering, spanning from 2000 years, 200 year, and 0.2 years. So I just picked your most extreme figure
i think that by "the end is never the end is never the end is never..." AE is not saying the end is never the end, but saying the end is never
It's referencing the fact that the replicator keeps bringing you back to life, so "The end is never the end" because death is not the end for the profiles.
coincidentally the sentence goes on for infinity
^
also, the end is never the end is basically the same as the end is never.
thanks
Looking like Greek will be streaming The Isle when phase two is released. He leaked that he was DMing Dondi on stream today. No details of the DM's though.
@feral arrow this is not the channel for that
Last year somoone managed to log into console, look into pinned. Also we already know about "the end is never the end" loop, also in pined, someonealready noticed it. I ready most of lorerelated pins last year/shdn they popped up, so I might not remember everything
y'all ever looked at the geoforce pic for the isle?
?
Either I'm a genius or late to the party.
The bottom left text is hex. Which can be translated.
`
"Phoenix International assets acquired current status awaiting evaluation" I need help understanding it. The rest of the binary code in the video doesn's translate well. But, one did. Roughly translated to "Operat3
"
Ah phoenix international assets is referring to operation inferno lorewise
What it means is that the pce dinos will arrive in the game in some form
The screen and hex are new but the info isnt
As the devs said we probably wont get lore before the recode
im just getting back into the game so i havent been caught up with the news
Not really new but the nova raptor and pce rex might be returning as the magnas
@magic peak Pheonix is the company from Primal Carnage. AE took specimens
given the snippets of info from PC:E's lore, it suggests that the guy in-charge of Phoenix International was pretty shady, and was clearly interested in using dinosaurs as bioweapons (which is why all of PC/PC:E's dinos are heavily modified or even hybrids in the Novaraptor's case), and it makes me wonder if perhaps it's Phoenix that took specimens or work from Apollo
sort of like, Phoenix is the "Biosyn" to Apollo's "InGen"
Nova got scrapped
i'm on about in PC:E. i know Isle doesn't have Novaraptor
well we know that PI stole fossils from various museums around the world so I'd still say that it was the other way round
Ah right my bad
Yeah the Phoenix assets seem to be the ones that have caused trouble, like how the magna and quetzal broke out
So, the whole message was just nothing?
No, no, I am saying the message is saying PC is connected to The Isle
I know that much, I'm just curious if it'll have any impact in the recode.
That depends if they add tidbits in Spero
Quick question does the island pc takes place on have coordinates
Isle takes place in the modern day so does primal, but where exactly are they located
If primal does
I'd say it's possible the isle could be here
Its got tribals and no one has ever been able to actually "explore" the island so really it's a sandbox for ideas you could say there are Dino's there because no one can say there aren't because have they been there? No.. well I guess neither have you but still it's a great idea!
@icy onyx the thing is that we don’t know the tribals are actually natives. They could of been AE employees/ scientists that have degraded through the use of the replicator and or creations of said replicator. And I am pretty sure the dinosaurs were seeded there like in Jurassic park lost world on isla sorna.
Thats kinda when I think people over think it
Tribals most defo arent normal humans
People expect it to be absolutely PERFECT and 100% accurate when life itself isn't even 100% accurate at times if that makes sense
@icy onyx and that's where I think an avatar moment may come in there if you've seen the movie
Replicator
Replicator seems to be the reason everything happened
tribals also seem to praise it as a god iirc
Replicator??
oof. If you dont know what it is, I recommend reading through pinned doc + website
Do you mind narrowing it down?
Im a pretty fast learner
Oof the problem, I myself dont really know how to explain it accurately
Deities, gods, you were talking about praising right?
Is it alive ?
No. Its a machine
From my understanding the replicator is some form of machine and or an AI of sorts that may or may not be responsible for the dinosaurs and other biological assets
It also seems to monitor and control whatever is happening
So like "the creator"
And trying to find the best profiles
And if it's a machine
Someone controls it
From what we know it probably went rogue or is self sufficient in some way
From what it seems, Replicator actually seems autonomous
So...dondi?? It's a possibility I've seen people put themselves into games and it would make sense
fully
Well if we wanted to go back to being accurate someone needs to control it
Things don't just run on their own and if it did it wouldve died out already
it could be that it was made to be autonomous.
and that is where the tribals might come in!
Yes but they are tribal and if they were created like you said they would have no knowledge on the machine
for I have a bit of a theory about the relationship between the tribals, the replicator. and what the tribals kinda are.
Go ahead
this may be a long post but I shall continue.

Imma drop this here
one of the past transmissions
yes I remember that and will be referencing that in this soon to be post, thank you @icy onyx
Imma just write my theory too
My theory was that The isle is based on this island that actually exists as of now on said island there are tribal people or native Americans but they are very aggressive and attack and kill anyone who try to access the land Wich actually if we wanted to put the replicator into play they could be wanting to protect that. But since in real life so one has ever been able to get there alive and back the possibilities are endless the skies the limit to what could be there and i think dondi may have taken advantage of that and used that as his canvas.
Im probably wrong but the theory is fun ^^
apologies I am looking over some old tweets so that I can provide more evidence to my theories please give me some time and apologies once more.
So my theory upon the tribals is that what if they aren't actually people that have been degenerated/mutated over generations of going through the replication process, but instead clones of a single and or several people's DNA that was used over and over again until we got the modern day tribal that we see now. And the replicator uses these clones to do it's bidding like Protecting it and going around living their lives and receiving information from said living their lives and sacrifices of technology, other people/creatures, and at times themselves to appease the replicator and gain favor (presumably mutations/the next stage, and being brought back to life) with said replicator. That for the most part is my theory on what the tribals are as for the relation ship, I partially touched on it and realized there might be more than I first thought so I am going to do a bit more digging before divulging all that I think upon the true meaning of the relationship between the tribals and the replicator.
@icy onyx problem is it’s not like tribals will fully inhabit the island. At the end of the day it’s a dinosaur game where dinosaurs dominate the landscape. For tribals it’s going to be setting up a settlement, and trying to survive there. Another problem is North Sentinel is quite Temperate, and the isle is not
@patent gyro The problem with your DNA theory is that all of the creatures on the Isle are heavily implied to be clones of each other, which is why they are pretty much identical except for colourings or sexual differences. This seems odd that only the tribal dna has degraded over repeat replication and no other dino has.
And with your theory on the relationship between the tribals and the replicator, not all tribals serve the replicator. It’s the players choice. Dondi says you don’t have to serve the replicator, but if you do it will ask you to perform tasks for it like building shrines, or sacrificing yourself or others to gain favour. But seeing as it’s a choice I don’t think there’s going to be too much lore explaining the relationship definitively
Good point upon the dinosaur part but then again we know the dinosaurs can breed. Do we know if the tribals can breed? @cold pecan
And what I am getting at with that is that maybe somehow the replicator gets new genes and such from the breeding and fresh blood in a way.
Breeding in this game isn’t that simple though. As far as the game suggests you don’t actually breed or have children, it just simulates it. No eggs hatch until you invite another profile(player) to become one of the babies. Otherwise the eggs will never hatch. Most mechanics in the game are explained by the lore
Ah I see this is indeed enlightening
Is all of this pinned? If not where can I look over this stuff? @cold pecan
In pinned you’ll find the Isle lore website which has a lot of important stuff, but my source is mainly from Dondi streams
Ah mind if we can have a discussion sometime? because I would like to learn what I have missed. I haven’t been here much since the decoding of the Morse codes with khorne and the rest. Also I was under the impression that the website was out of date. @cold pecan
Yeah, it’s a bit old which is why a lot of information that I’m talking about isn’t on it, but all of the stuff on their is still canon except for the Novaraptor and maybe the Tissoplastic strain
Yea that is what caught me off and made me a bit meh about that website XD but I’ll look over it again and thank you friend for all of this new information!
No problem bro 👍
Well sexual differences are coming soon so..
@summer helm Dont think so. Evrima literally means discovery in greek
@icy onyx Sexual differences already exist in game. So? That has no relevance to my point
To specify it has no relevance as a counterpoint
It wasn't meant as a counter point so that's just fine
Well than what is your point?
Or sexual differences
But if you said sexual differences are already in the game it's only color wise so that would only be adding on to what you already said making your point pretty dry it's kind of a "no shit Sherlock" kinda moment there but I was mentioning the actual placement differences as in para having its head be bent back a bit if it's female if that makes any sense
It wasn't meant as a "counter point" I was just adding some things lol
No but they said there will be slight diffencess between males and females
do we know what AE stands for?
Apollo Engineering
alright
Apollo Engineering
I am aware
from the quick read i just took through the pinned document, I'd say AE was trying to use dinosaurs are bio weapons
im pretty new to isle lore so maybe this is already a known fact
Dondi said it wasnt for millitary reasons very early on
ah
i mean
I can't really see AE using dinos just purely for weapons because dinosaurs would be shit in a war
Mind you, these aren't normal dinosaurs
why would AE create something such as neuro spino, which can impale you with its tongue and literally blind you
maybe to stay as a neutral company and sell these animals to larger entities
The tisso strain is built around stealth
Pew pew gun triumphs over all
Again
Guerilla warfare
isn't tisso unofficial as of now?
These aren't normal animals
Horses were a staple of combat for year
Somewhat
I don't think its been officially removed
You cant shoot an elephant with a normal gun
hypo/ers are pretty armoured, they can/could withstand the blow of a bullet
Hyperendocrin have bulletproof skin, crash through buildings, ridiculous regeneration...
^
dinos would be shit in a war sure, genetically tampered freaks of nature may b good in a war
Tissos scramble electronics and are emps
Yeah, you shoot at a Hyper, it's goi ng to kill your entire village
Probably, but they'd probably just shoot the thing with a battleship canon
Neuro EMP
Assuming you have a battleship
And assuming a Neuro isn't nearby
yeah im going to stick to war dinosaurs for now
And anyway hypo mosas gonna eat that ship
Hypo Quetz gonna take out plains
Definitely not.
why would anyone create an animal that can mess around with electrics?
Dinosaurs would be bad weapons
correct
Key word dinosaurs
there's no purpose for it other than fuck someone over
No you won't
highly doubt dinos would be deployed
Hypo quetz will catch it bro
Anyway thats like saying tanks are shit cause you can nuke em
by dinosaurs i mean type H, N and T
Ratman, Nukes are different
"Let me use this loud as shit tank near animals with amazing hearing and smell. Good idea." - Recording of destroyed tank
Tank could literally destroy a tank also. Hypers usually die off due to hunger
you dont see nukes om the battlefield
Meanwhile tanks
are like
really fucking common
Are useless.
Ye
So usually hypers are just clean up crew
Or the main event.
Why fight a hyper when you could starve it
So if you had some sort of machine that could mass produce killing machines
A replicator of some sort
Killing machines with a major flaw
And anyway thats just getting started with the other shit like those cannibal like things
Things that were cannibals and now arent
Sure you could starve it but good luck pulling out an army with a massive beast eating half of em making them panic
And they'd probs be used in like tactical strikes like, airdrop one into the white house
Assuming you do use tanks on an island full of dinosaurs, shit like this exists. Your tank is just going to piss this thing off
You don't need to pull an army out tho
You'll just "starve it"
it was an extreme example
AA missiles
I meant that they would be used to target key buildings
or people
Like send one into osama bin ladens house job done
I can't see them airdropping hypers, maybe by ship or something idk
Aha
But the Hypo Quetz A
Literally
Hypers are probably expensive
^
depends on the cost of replication i guess
Hypers are heavy animals, incredibly dangerous. I'd argue a tank is less dangerous than a Hyperendocrin.
Still expensive
You cant just make matter appear
le replicator
if replication is just oh wow, clones, cool.then mayb cloned stuff would be cheaper.
otherwise yea.
I don't think they clone hypers
They definitely do
A tank is going to run out of gas or ammo. A Hyperendocrin is tough enough to eat that tank.
They cloned the magnas
they replicate stuff and make sure they are worth replicating
A hyper is going to run out of food
so what would you guys suggest on why does AE create such creatures
Yep, it's gonna starve no matter what.
It's going to take a long ass time for a tank to run out of gas
IIRC echidna was said to not be replicated because she was a high threat to personnel
Hypos are bad examples and probably early trials, but look at all the other shit theyve made
It's still gonna kill you before it dies
Tribals are literally fanatic humans
That are buff
Like the ape men the nazis tried to make
I think there has to be a greater reason why ae makes these monsters other then for war
yee
Well, it was said some trees would change you
I just cant think of one, don't know about you
So...Hypers don't have to be clones
i certainly can't either
A magna would be slightly better then magna just because it doesn't have the big weakness, it's not as fast or strong but it doesn't starve ass quickly
No, but they can be
If its chomping on people 24/7 hes chill
I don't think Hypos would ever realistically be deployed anyway
They're like a failed experiment
yeah like " OH SHIT we messed that up big time, uh put the hypo * insert any hypo you want * in there, It'll suck those up real fast "
Discarding weaponizing dinosaurs, precisly strains. AE want to make perfect organism. Magna is perfected, or at last upgraded hypo. They can mess around with dinos because it's animal with only they know added to DNA to be brought back ftom extinction. They might as well opt for testing on dinos all strains to see how that creatures adapts. Tribals are probably accident during some experiments on Echidna, and AE went hey shame to loose them without testing, and rest was put into replicator hands.
Also I'm pretty sure that replicator is there to collect data, it might have relationship of sort with tribals because they are still human and it needs to be done differently than with animals.
Beside tribals we might not even see, at last for now, ant orihinal human strain experiment. AE might not want to mess with it before they collect more data.
The replicator might also be a way to keep track of the tribal population. Also population control
They didn’t make the magna tho
And you need to remember that there are humans controlling each creature on the isle, no matter if you’re a dinosaur or a tribal or whatever
🧬Æ 🧬
👀
What if
what lol

I don't know if I can ask here but what is that ??? (I can delete if I can't ask here)
Thats a modded dino from some trash mod long ago
hmmmmmmmmm
@cold pecan Don't be crass.
I only posted it cause it said lore
I wouldn't recommend doing that if you don't know what it says.
Google translate doesn't know either
The conversation and attempt at justification doesn't belong here either.
Got me there, my apologies
I know this is probably old and probably someone aleardy figured out the actual theory about it, but its interesting if i also shared my own theory about it.
The big bone thats in the water is probably Hypo Brachiosaurus, the Dam was probably created to keep the water in there so they could keep that thing able to walk and be alive since big dinos like the long necks and stuff need water to be able to rest since theyr bones would break from such weight if they dont rest in the water and no way for them to stand up if they somehow manage to sit on the ground but the weight gonna crush theyr insides or something like that as i heard, but they use water to rest and such, also the lake at the big bone was probably small lake untill someone created the Dam and that way the water grows bigger untill its big enough for them to create and let the creature live there since it was massive and he would be dead by his (or hers) own weight, so the creature used to walk on the water so that way its weight is being carried by the water.
After it grew so big, maybe it died because even the water couldn't help it's weight, or it could had died by old age, if that isn't the theory, i have no idea, but that makes more logic for me?
Well the only issue with this is that a hyperendocrin brachi wouldn't make sense because herbivores didn't get any strains
Exactly, just wanted to write that. Somebody mentioned it has some features that are unique to humans, so my guess is it is Colossus' skeleton.
Could be the colossus, yeah
that giant skeleton is kinda freaky. aside from the spine, it's very similar to a human ribcage, even the scapulae are identical to a human's
Could be mixed genes between brachi, spino and something else , turned into huge mutant, but idk, because it got very long neck from what i saw
But it could be huge spino as well, but not idea how it would actually walk on land with such massive mass
The wiki says the bones are matriarch so they might need to update that
dont trust the wiki
at all
Overall the information is provides is often wrong or outdated
Do you guys think Dondi has made a separate discord account just to post on here and throw everyone off whenever they get close to guessing the actual lore
No.
I'm actually pretty much certain he doesn't. I'd go out on a limb and say he doesn't even know this channel exists.
XD
on very rare occasions he comes here to laugh at us
maybe in the beginning when we were told by the console not to trust some people among us for spreading misinformation but nothing else
and the first transmitter didnt have an official role so its not completely unheard but they got more organised for lore stuff
plz corrct wiki wiki gods, wiki spread misinfo
Wiki has nothing to do with isle-lore-theories
everywhere i go there is references to alternate dimensions
this could mean that in the new lore the way they explain how the animals magically turn from juvie to adult is (hear me out on this alex jones theory)
littearly separate animals that needed to be replicated at the end of their life cycle to fake growth
i have gone completely insane from the lack of new lore
Trevor the wiki had said the matriarch was the bones in the lake, which was what they were talking about with wiki earlier and i guess i read wrong cause i swear someone said that me saying about matriarch bones was misinfo which is why i said the wiki spread misinfo
Or at least saying the bones being matriarch was misinfo
i thought Dondi had said something in a stream about an "Island Walker" being the bones in the lake?
and something about the Walker dwarfing even the Matriarch
@silk glen Don't trust wiki, they are as much reliable source as Anthomnia, a.k.a. very untrustworthy. You cannot change much on Wiki, so the best way is to contact the admins of the page. Not sure if they are here on Discord tho. But remember, people behind the Wiki aren't devs, it's unofficial (Sorry for the offtopic take)
@ornate flower Wait, you sure he said Matriarch?
Ya, i got that from other peeps pid
Thought it had grabbed that from something a dev said
i thought he did? to be honest, i'm not 100% sure, as i only caught what he'd said in-passing
i do know he mentioned an Island Walker
Well, it sounds weird he mentioned Matriarch rather than Colossus, we don't know much about her and I allways assumed she is + - human-sized. But Island Walker sounds interesting. I wonder whatever that thing was, where did AE (or whoever made it) keep it and how did they manage to grow it into such gigantic size (if it was carnivorous, it sure had big apetite).
Matriarch i had thought just started absorbing stuff so it had always been big in my eyes with lots of conflicting dna so thats why i thought it was plausible matriarch was the bones with the spikes but also being so big
Wait wait wait, where did you hear about that absorbing stuff thing? I'm quite interested, there is so little information about Matriarch.
From what we currently know, Matriarch is an organism that is perfectly adaptable on its surroundings (can she shapeshift? eat everything? who knows) and she is probably the only creature who has completed profile ( -> pleased Replicator). There is also a chance Matriarch = Echidna (which isn't very gigantic creature) and also is the one who contacted the last person accesing the console.
After the recode and the new lore hints we should reorganise every canon lore info in one place
Cause now not only is it spread but also mixed with canon and non canon stuff
Imo it makes sense for Echidna and Matriarch to be the same thing because Echidna is literally the mother of monsters in greek mythology. Pretty simple connection to nickname her matriarch as well.
There is also this Report Transcript:
“...LEADING UP TO THE COMPOUND ITSELF. UPON REACHING THE STRUCTURE, SPECIMEN (7 LETTERS) BEGAN PACING. WE EXPECTED THE SAME TYPE OF RAGE ONE WOULD EXPECT FROM ANY AGGRESSIVE ANIMAL, BUT IT WAS SUBDUED,FOCUSED, AND CALCULATED. SHE WAS THE MATRIARCH, AND NO ONE WAS TAKING HER OFFSPRING. NOT HERE. NOT NOW. NOT EVER.”
7 letters - Echidna
Specimen echidna hmmm
Well tbh i'd hold off on any theories atm since even the loading screens may end up non canon
hold tf up
Wait a minute...
Its just an illusion...Makes sense.
I have forgotten everything after the lore from 2 years ago. I really have no clue whats going on
InB4 the easter egg teleporters from PC:E are canon technology
the dinos dont live very long until they've reached adulthood, so they time travel them into big mode or something. very cool kanye
plus theres always the old "your reality may become temporarily unstable" saying
which i guess could fit with dimensional stuff?
Isn't the Matriarch the pteranodon that Tapwing displayed on his DA? Or is I not cannon?
Does that mean dinos with tech will be coming because of these dimensions?
Nah
I hope not, we don't need another Ark-like game. Tho, it's really interesting if this replacement theory is true. But, what happends to the replicated Hatchlings/Juvies/Subs after you grow up? They die? Or are they somewhere stored for later?
cannibals are just wendigos change my mind
They are, another Entity
ether A) this simply means AE had trouble creating proper life cycles of the animals so just resorted to replacing the current profiles body at a certain age or.....
don't tell me cannibals are aliens lmfao
B) i have been right this whole time and the game does revolve around breaking the 4th wall and stealing our minds being a meta commentary on ones need to play as an animal and what it say's about us
i chose A)
Another meta theory i have is that the scientists of AE purposefully modelled the hypers after the hulk and the neuro spino after the alien queen
Because they have a sense of humor and are not emotionless monsters
Maybe they did for the same reason a JW did hybrid (Indominus and inforaptor) to use them as war machine (the Normal Dino’s are only here too study the behaving of every species to take the best out of them and since they are in the wild on the strongest survie do a better result they made hypos’neuro and the queen and realized they it was a dumb idea to use them as war machine (2 dangerous) do they tried to kill them but they did too well as didn managed to do it so they locked them away
when I started playing the isle i had a theory that human minds where transported into dino bodys....
now I hate that theory
@serene gull Why?
idk
Nothing on the island is organic
PLant
No plant only processed food
I just can't see them using the hypers or neuros just for war, yah sure they both are powerful monsters one being a EMP mage monster and the other being a pure island vacuum cleaner but I just think there is a bigger reason why hypers and neuros were created.
Why would you use animals in a war in today’s times? With the tec we have and all? I don’t think war is the thing we are looking for
Well, technically, animals are cheaper than most war vehicles (like, military helicopters are something insane like $30million dollars each), as they can breed (assuming they live that long), but think of this;
shock factor
Imagine being some soldier on the frontlines, expecting tanks or trucks of enemy soldiers... only for bloody Godzilla to show up instead and start wrecking your shit.
You're not going to know what the hell to do about that monster as it tears its way through the frontline, because you've never been trained for, or even imagined, running into a giant armoured dinosaur on a battlefield
A few bombs would do the trick tho
sure, but not before it's done a crapton of damage
@ornate flower war isn’t made with soldiers in “frontlines” anymore bombs solve anything I bet the cost to genetically make dinossaurs exceeds the cost for war machines, plus why would I throw Dino’s in a war I can easily win if I bomb the shit out of whatever is fighting me.
If we still fought wars like this Dino’s would be useful and still a canon ball would make wonders
frontlines are still a thing, they're just very different from the old 1800s stuff.
sure, these days we tend to bomb shit from the air or with artillery, but there's still men on the ground, especially in areas that the attackers don't want to blast off the face of the Earth
again bombs
@ornate flower those man are just there because we can’t put machines doing what they do, but dinossaurs can’t do what soldiers do you need a intelligent brain not a instinct driven brain so I don’t think war is the purpose of the dinossaurs but idk so it’s still a possibility
exactly
yah
"no problem a good ol bomb won't solve"... until you want to capture a town. you can't capture something that's been blown to dust
And don’t make me get nuclear on your ass 😂
don't get me wrong, i also think using dinosaurs for war is dumb
@ornate flower well if you want to capture it don’t send Dino’s send people Dino’s will kill people
There has to be a more complicated reason for why they create dinosaurs and monsters
i just suggested shock tactics as the only reason that made sense
wat
The scientist in the isle just wanted the Nobel prize for genetics that’s it
He got it man
😂
the Romans did some whacky shit as shock tactics. like they'd cover pigs in oil, set them on fire and let them loose onto the battlefield
I just think that they use the dinosaurs to gather info
@ornate flower they use no@machine guns
it's an example. i'm very aware Romans didn't have guns
Ahahah
like they let the dinos live out there life cycle and store the info the dinosaur has gotten over the playthrough
Hopefully you are
no shit Sherlock
@ember flame well we know it’s a private company that somehow got access to dinossaur dna
yah
@ornate flower im jk bro
That made Dino’s in a closed off island
I got it
It’s jp 4
you're just taking the piss, so i'm not bothering to continue
Sry bro let’s get serious then
@ornate flower but I do t really think it’s war got be something else
Like gathering info
@ember flame yes but to what purpose
idk
what
oh
I have no clue
but it has something to do with the elder system they are going to have
Well we have deformed humans could they be trying to find a way to clone humans or extend their life span?
maybe to create the perfect creature or to uncover some secret that they themselves don't know about?
maybe
maybe the orc ape people are suppose to gather enough info and then sacrifice themselves to the replicator? There is a lot of evidence stannable the bannable gave about it.
@ember flame ah yeah I forgot about that well that’s just even more confusing now
I mean you talked about the elder system and it made me think that the scientist where trying to figure out how to make humans live longer or to improve the human genetic code but then that cult stuff came in and it’s confusing idk we must wait 🤷🏻♂️
Les go
@icy onyx the whole " cult stuff " was a unexpected problem in the data process where the human like test subjects began to idolize the replicator a little too much. AE lost a bit of control as the replicator decided to make its own things in search of information for IT.
( as far as i know / from what i know )
@meager fulcrum it’s interesting maybe a genetic failure that broke out? Maybe the dinossaur genes where first discovered somehow and then they tried to mix human genes with dinossaur genes thus creating the tribals which then mutates into a cannibal or the replicator mutates the tribals into cannibals trying to create some kind of army? Phew 😅 no idea
the cannibals are the replicator's doing .their changes which are usually making them stronger in the ways dondi described them are the replicator's gifts.
so if you gain more information in your life, and die, you will be brought back stronger.
the matriarch has a " maxed out profile " so it has done everything it can for the replicator.
]SO the replicator made it almost without flaw.
I'm new to the isle lore, what is the replicator involved in gamewise/what does it do?
is there any lore behind the big skeleton in titans lake
Big skele in lake is either " island walker " whick was mentioned in dev stream awhile ago or just a placeholder
The replicator is a sentient so that lets us respawn gamewise
Lorewise it is a AI that seeks information and has been idolized as a god by the cannibals.
The replicator decides what your next body will be, and can punish you by giving you an awful body when you die, or an amazing one if you please it.
There's lots of other stuff about replicator that is speculation but those are the for-sures for now
the selection screen kinda contradicts that but hey gotta leave some room for good gameplay
The issue with using dinos for war is that it'd be cheaper and easier to get a couple elephants, dose them up with PCP, then slap them on the ass in the direction of the enemy.
PCP won't help that. it causes elephants to have seizures
it would just be a waste of elephants
Hmm, rabies? Can elephants get rabies?
no idea
Insufficient predator drive.
It is possible to make elephants hate humans and kill them on purpose
but its not exactly the easiest
So the replicator his a hive mind I don’t understand if it’s a entity or just some kind of super computer, the replicator has its minions which are the tribals that complete missions, gather information and sacrifice themselves for the replicator.
But the replicator isn’t acting on its own someone is using it “we could not make them do what we wanted, so we convinced them that it was what they wanted”
The tribals where a failed experiment that broke out the replicator was created to contain the tribals but since its intelligent AI they also lost control of it.
And maybe idk the replicator is gathering trough the tribals what it needs to make the hypos maybe the tribals gather genes trough missions which then are gifted to the replicator when they sacrifice to
The replicator could be creating the hypos to fight the mercenary’s?
But is the replicator like some kind of higher being or a computer?
The replicator creates the mercenary’s? But aren’t the mercenary’s normal humans?
To the tribals it is a higher being, to us it is a
Computer we lost control of
Also yes
It can make normal humans
If it W A N T S to.
It can't get information about what would happen IF if there is no WHY
Then objectively it’s a super computer the question is, does it have free will? Or is it being manipulated by someone we just think we lost control of it there are 2 company’s fighting for the isle right? Apollo and Phoenix Corporation what if one of them lost control of the computer to the other company
Which then is using the assets of the former company to steal their work
Phoenix isnt even able to fight back imo
In the transcript we get 3 islands
Island 1,2 and 3, island 1 and 2 status is red island 3 status is green it then says tartarus status green só island 3 is Tartarus and I would bet island 3 is the big one so we could probably find in that island project inferno and project all-father the hypo rex and the mega tyrannus
Operation Inferno sounds like the end of Phoenix
I don't think Replicator makes Hypos, it is only part of the whole process. Replicator picks his favourites and if they finish their profiles, it sends their EIP to Gateway, and from there they are transported to Tartarus. Tartarus is probably the place where all experiments were done and Hypos/Echidna/Colossus/... were held.
Well, Phoenix lost everything. The head of the company is missing and they lost all of their assets. They don't (probably) have any source of money, so, how and why would they try to fight Apollo?
All we know is that Lawrence carter is missing we don’t know if he’s dead we don’t know if he went into hiding or if he’s pulling some strings from the dark
Why would he fake his missing? He had a company in middle of an important project that needed someone to lead. The question is, who is in head of the company after he vanished?
This is inside Titans Lake and i say it's eitherway a Dragon or a Godzilla... it has chest bones below, so this is spines or wings... it's atleast 20 times Bigger than a Pue Adult but i would say more like 30 Pues fit in the Skeleton if not more
Many players on my server theorized about it but we all think at Godzilla, Dragon or a Huge af Spino
gigantic neuro spino
Do you have a better image of it's skull? Doesn't seem much like a upsized neuro.
Yes it has, it's outside the map
Huh, neat.
for all we know it coulde be either the isle walker, or the matriarch
Why Matriarch, exactly?
(I don't mean it sarcastic, I'm only curious where you got that info.)
You can walk underwater at the moment by the way as a Pue and then you can see it with your own eyes.. aslong you have a server or know the Admin to get a Pue / play on Sandbox Isle v3
on my server we regularly walk there with players because it's fun to talk about that skeleton and it's very interesting
there's a ruin down there too
Ah yes thats clearly an Elder neuro spino
honestly it looks like a huge spino to me....
bruh
thats not a spino
thats its leg
u h
thingy
thats where its legs atatch
i canot speel
epic
the short part is its butt and the long part is its neck
it dosnt have a tail
(Apologize for the quality of the picture, I'm not that good at painting) I didn't quite understand your description, what did you mean as a leg?
@digital vale SPED
its so simple too
do u see that bone plate next to the "tail"
thats the sholder
making the "tail" the head
that bone is a scapula ("shoulder blade"), and it's identical to a human scapula
the rib-cage is almost the same as a human's too
the "head" is a sacrum, the fused vertebrae your hips attach to
is it possible to get another angle of this skeleton?
@covert robin geez, no need to swear buddy. I didn't saw that scapula/shoulder blade, or whatever it is. And thank you for explanation @ornate flower
from the looks of it, they're probably just placeholder bones, borrowed from a human skeleton model, but the anatomy it creates is bizarre
@digital vale wait wot? sped not swear
if you extrapolated using what we can see there, we get a creature that looks vaguely like a therizinosaur-shaped humanoid, with presumably a sail-like structure
when i get a moment, i'll try drawing what i described
this is going to be nightmare fuel
it's definitely weird as hell
That is nightmare fuel when explained like that lol
because the sacrum is a humanoid sacrum
behold, a man
assuming the missing pelvis was humanoid too, you'd end up with a humanoid ass lol
Damn that's terrifying
You mean shrexy
i absolutely suck at drawing humanoids, but you can kinda see what i meant
it kinda looks like some weird warped Attack on Titan shit lol
No attack on sexy
it's facing away
it's for science saoul
for the LORE
Yes. But now I need to brick all of you for misusing this channel.
we were trying to figure out what it was, so i just sketched a rough outline of what it looks like based on the available bones
how is that misusing the channel?
Keep it serious and on topic. Actually halfway serious at least.
It's the first sentence in the channel description.
i was being serious though
Others were not so lucky.
i even explained why it ended up with a butt
oh the people farther above?
to be fair though, looking at how goofy my rough sketch is, i can kinda see why it wouldn't look serious XD
He does have a point. There is obvious human anatomy in that skeleton.
The shape of the spine looks kinda like that of the neuro spino.
And it generally reminds me a lot of the way the neuro looks.
mybe its a super huge spino with human stuff on it
So, a Spinosaur version of Colossus?
I thought N. Spino was supposed to be smaller than Hyper, not 10x bigger?
Well I don't know really, but maybe they tried mixing hyper and neuro and it somehow became huge.
i thought it was the Tissoplastic strains that are the smaller ones?
It don't must be a size compare, but the normal spino there could be like example of look compare
that's what i thought as well
It doesnt have to be a certain strain, it just has to make us believe that thing was alive at one point.
It has to be a strain cause any normal spino would never get that big. @frail dune
Seems lot more likely some hyperendocrin based strain. Neuro is pretty small
spine bones going back wards are like this <
so why would its tail bones and entire spine be the other way around >
c o s
i t s
t h e
n e c k
Man this chat is strange
Not really
People are pretty basic with their theories
Always going to shit like war all the time
Instead of tackling the bigger questions
I mean
The spines seem to be going in both directions, almost like they're disfigured
So feasibly either end could be the head
Heck maybe it had two heads, one on either end
On a proper spino the spines go forward then up. Here they go forward, up and back
@lavish stratus I didnt say it wasnt a strain, I just said it doesnt have to be an identifiable strain.
the long bit is a neck, the thing that yall think is a head is a pelvis. thats what i get anyway
ye I definetly can't think of the thing you're calling the head as a head, it's very clearly a sacrum
Ah kk
@mighty abyss so it has a head atatched to no wear?
it has an extra head just for the fun of it B)
on its ass B)
thats pretty epic gamers
Maybe this squeleton is for the Queen of the Neuro spino so that's why it's bigger or something like
Dunno I thought about the idea of a swarm of those thing like The Alien or something like this 🤷
i mean if you want the actual explanation, i made a dino skeleton out of human and bird bones since we didn't have any custom assets at the time.
figured the human parts were used as stand-ins. it still makes for some really weird creatures 😛
Perhaps a case of a hyper spino whose genes never gave it a growth limit (think ligers) and eventually it hit a point it wasn't sustainable by any means period, collapsed, and died.
A prototype, if you will.
Yep!
And it would make sense given prototypes are earlier into production. I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the very first functional iterations that they released onto the island to observe.
Damn dinosauriac all this conversation about the skeleton where useless 😂
I mean I’m guessing a lot of the theories ultimately are like that lol
the remake is gonna ether make most lore invalid or cleverly incorporate old elements into it
like with growth
they were place holders
s o

s p i n o
thats so epic
@covert robin - Please take the channel as serious as requested in the Channel Description. Jokes and fun times have their place, but what you've said is just distracting in the way it was presented.
it was big theories but i just like to talk like big dumb so me sorry :((((
that moment when nobody talks here
[Not sure where this comment belongs, but it's sort of lore related, so I'm putting it here and I'm sorry if this kind of comment doesn't belong here] I wonder if The Isle is ever going to get a story mode or something. So, for those who want to know the story of The Isle without having to run around and figure it out for themselves and have the chance of whatever you're playing as get killed before you can find the key lore pieces and stuff.
Sorry for tripple Pictures but i saw you guys enjoyed that Picture alot over the week.. so i took 3 more of different angles
I wanna see that things head most of all 😮
thats the head? looks like it is still the spine
weird skull then
It was made from bird and humans bones
okay the last picture the head from the side
and the other head site...
it looks more like a tail but as you guys have drawn it out~the head
so wait... if that's its head... did it have six eyes??
then where's the thighs?
besides look at the other pictures above, this can't be the tail bone because otherwise the spines are pointing the wrong way
We know nothing about this animal or if it’s meant to be correct in any shape or form, could literally just be for aesthetic
Literally Dino confirmed its just placeholder
Boom, there we have it
But for future reference.. that’s what your tailbone looks like 😉
Wonder if we’ll get big skele that isn’t placeholder for Hope or new Thenyaw
Would be neat
yeee
boo lol 😄
the spines are pointing the right way for that to be a tailbone
headcanon that the hyper rex is just an old old man
elder rex has the start of the armor plating along its neck
As I was scrolling down through here I was hoping someone would correct them on the anatomy, thank you lol
They haven't actually started proper game testing because theybarebstill working 9n animation. Dondinles.
I feel like the elder stage is the stage between the Normal and Hypo stage, or is where/when you slowly turn into a hypo.
Since the rex kinda looks like a hypo rex in the face
Agree
Im not sure, i bet getting elder status won’t be easy, but seems kind of strange to me that it would be the way to go for achieving hypo status? Just seems too simple i guess? Especially seeing as how hypo is very large and strong, but elders are only buffed for a while? Maybe if you could flesh out your theory a little more I could get behind it
@small lintel
I don't think Elders later become Hypers, that's... just weird. It's as logical as a situation where you have a 90 y. o. man and you pump tons of steroids into him. You need to remember that after you become Elder, you'l slowly loose all your strength and power and then you'l experience the magic of 'schmeemeemee'. You die, boiz, and then you can choose some cool ability. There is no contiuation stage after that, as far as we currently know.
Personally, I think you need to complete your Profile first and make some sacrifices to Replicator, before you can become Hypo, Neuro, or whatever you want to be.
I agree, especially since elders get buff but then taper off and die, seems kinda awkward for them to go hypo imo
The only way I can think of that the whole elder=hyper thing works out is that, if you max out your perks, or get enough perks or something, then perhaps theres some system where, theres a chance that on your next life you will go hyper, instead of getting you elder power spike. You just springboard over that, and get like, an hour of hyper playtime or something, before you just die; no option for shmememe that time.
Ahh, gotcha
Maybe that could tie in with the whole “complete your profile before going strain” would be a nice challenge
It would make getting to strain fairly difficult, especially since we don’t want a whole bunch of hypers running about, wonder what else could add to your profile
Exactly, though, I think you'l also have to act as that dinosaur and not just sit in a corner, because as was mentioned, Replicator is choosing it's favourites. If we tie the theory with Replicator and this, you'l have to experience many, many, many lives and please him, which isn't going to be easy ('cause we don't want server full of Hypers), and tadaa, then you become one.
Yeah, I dont think hypers are ever going to be selectable, at least I hope not; it should be a random thing for people that have lived many lives and earned it
I also agree.
I feel like it'd be much more exciting. For the person themselves and for other players. It would keep the whole "oh crap it's a hyper" aspect attached to it. You know you're dead if you hear it sort of thing.
Perhaps it has something with the "thousand lives for Apollo" in that message, and then you can MAYBE have a hypo.
did anyone else notice that Elder rex kinda looks like Hypo rex?
@wind jewel that's where this whole conversation came from.
oh okay I'm a bit Late To The Party
I was thinking magna
They are just normal dinosaurs with more fat and wrinkles on them, that's it. I don't think there is some deep connection between Elders and Magnas/Hypers/strains in general. They are ... old. They are bigger, chunkier, and with longer and more curvier horns'n'claws than on a young adult dinosaur. Strain dinosaurs are genetically altered dinosaurs which were (probably) pumped with steroids, drugs, or who-knows-what. Even though older dinosaurs has survived and experienced much more things in their lifes than the young ones, still, it's very risky to do some genetical alternations on an older individual and give him a dose of steroids/drugs/... when you have a much more younger ones.
Maybe not but, there could be a possibility of them doing that (it's probably like a 0.1% chance tbh). Or they stick to what they said, and just you becoming a strong old dino that starts dying and getting weaker (and get perks).
do you think they will put identification tags on dinosaurs that are "released into the wild" (cage drop spawn) to distinguish them from "Wild Hatched" Dinosaurs? It would definitely tie in with the lore...a scientist wants to be able to identify its specimens after all
iirc in game right now, on your dinosaur's info panel it tells you that you have a chip (if you spawned in) or you don't (if you're nested), so its already part of current game lore actually
@rich spade
It would be cool if that chip number was on a little yellow tag somewhere on the dinosaurs dinosaur so mercs can identify the dinosaur they are tracking out of a herd/pack
Ah, or maybe mercs could have a radar device that would detect the chips to help them navigate
lots of cool possibilities with mercs hehe
if isla spero was real where would it be?
I wanted to discuss a bit more about the elder becoming hyper thing, or put in my two cents at least.
So, what if you had to have a certain number of elders in a row in order to reach hyper status? Like you choose a perk after dying as an elder for your next life, and if you become an elder in that life too, etc a certain amount of elders in a row is how you reach hyper status. That's how theyd keep the rarity and "oh shit a hyper we're all going to die" going, only players that had so many perks gained over so many elder lives in a row would become a hyper in one of their next elder-perk spawns.
Is there even Lore for this game, or is it all fan made up?
yes, there's lore.
It's not fan-made.
check pinned messages and/or #transmissions
@hollow tapir i ve thought about that before.and its a great way to keep the strain population down
I think so too! Itd keep hypers extremely rare, because it sounds like itll be rather hard to get an elder to the lay down and die stage, let alone getting several dinos in a row to the lay down and die elder stage. The amount of hypers on one server would be estimated between 1-5 ish at any time in the total count of the servers, one or two on at the same time max, and hypers would - just because itd be a challenge - go after each other for big fights, keeping the population down even more.
i don't think it should be based on how many times you've survived as elder
rather the perks you choose from getting elder
perhaps you choose all power related perks - hypo
stealth - tisso
intelligence - neuro
and balanced maybe magna
though i don't feel magna will be acquired like how the other strains will be
magna isnt even technically a strain so ye
mhm
When will be the new spino free??
... what?
Honza, if you ask another ETA related question, I will remove you. You've been told the rule already.
@icy onyx if magna is not a strain what is it
@icy onyx iirc magnas are mostly naturally evolved
Alright
So remember when we were graced with an dev's presence when someone said when u hit grow u get replaced?
Here's my theory
When u hit adult then elder
They don't have anything after
Nor does this mishmash of long dead dna have a "dude. Die"
So it's kinda like what a cancer cell does, but the whole body
It gets a lil weaker
As an elder then it keeps growing
More plates thicker skin massive body more tweth
Until it's BASICALLY a hyper
Then it has to stop
Because if it doesn't it dies from it being so heavy
Well, if the theory with 'player-dinosaur being constantly replaced to fake growth' is true, it suggest two reasons - it's a) To make growing up much faster than in real life (which would take many years, and as far as we know, AE/Replicator/... wants to speed up the whole process of gaining new information as much as possible) or b) Dinosaurs for some reason cannot grow, but because we must act as a real life animal to gain authentic memories, we must fake the whole process. When we reach an Elder stage, no matter if it's an actual dinosaur or weird animal that cannot grow, we cannot just... keep growing up until we die from our weight. There was once an disinforming article on Vice which was talking about Saltwater Crocodiles, who according to them are "immortal and keep infinitly growing up until they are killed by someone else". Truth is, when crocodiles (or just, any other animal) reach some point of adulthood, the whole process of growing up slows down A LOT, and it would take ages for them to significantly grow in size. Also, they are quickly getting weaker, loose teeth and sight, etc. which means they are much more vulnerable, it's harder for them to provide food for themselves and they tend to be competed by other, much younger crocodiles. So, TLDR: (apologize for this long text), no matter what kind of animal it is, everyone is aging and one day we reach a point where we get weaker and weaker, until we die - no matter what. When we get to this point of loosing all our strenght, it's not possible to suddenly regain all of it back (+ more) without any sci-fi like interference that would completely changed how our bodies work - a.k.a. we would suddenly started heal ourselves, we would get younger, bigger, stronger, etc. If AE would have this kind of revolutionary technology, I see no reason why would they keep wasting their time on dinosaurs.
Also, we need to remember Alfie, the Hyper Quetz, who presumably grow up as one since his "childhood".
alfie is from primal carnage
so it ain't a hyper
it's more likely that they wanted to use alfie as a base for their hypo quetz
but since alfie is missing in action
they can't do that
I feel like The strains you know Hypo, Tisso, and neuro. Are more like you know some zombie time thing. Like people were the first Test subjects, and then they infected dinosaurs. But they were all killed all of the 'infected' after witnessing this they started trying to copy the effect and then all hell broke lose and now ... Some dinosaurs if they survive a attack of one of the strains like the colossus, the Mother ad the bat thing, they mutate or they can accidentally get infected
but the cannibals are like actual humans that evolved
@vague dome I might be wrong, but I think ... Console? Or loading screens? mentioned Operation Alphonse was a project to create Hyper Quetz. But to be fair, I didn't checked this isno in a while
or they are infected like L4D, but the strains are like special infected
Hmm, maybe, that quite makes a sense. But why would they try this kind of a dangerous project on a island full of dinosaurs?
I feel like they created the dinosaurs like in JP that's why they resemble their actual counterpart so much
But they were trying to see how far they could go with genetic science
and the infection was them trying to go even further
But they set the dinosaurs loose to just live on the island
I like to see it that way because ts the peoples fault that they invaded the island and are getting killed by the natives
Its heir fault for getting eaten alive by creating the dinosaurs
Its their fault for creating a super virus, It's kinda like a darker version of JP
@vague dome Found it! Though, it's not exactly what I had in mind. It's not specified if Hyper Quetz is Alfie or somebody else - https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/v37iTRhI-WNdWqrex6-IWl0gv79c9oK5iNLCTLtVUGwKsOIggntodh3xR_pfFbpLIGN4udIZlfdT2suzrJ1uuI8q3rq-gs5MStiPVyOxKHOAArKXxlSH=w673
@icy onyx Hmm, more I think about it, it doesn't quite go hand-in-hand with a lore, or atleast with what we currently know. Strains were originally stated for dinosaurs, because the whole project is continuation on Phoenix's operations and their research. The islands / archipelago where dinosaurs are living seems to be man-made, and Cannibals seems to be ... well, "genetically deformed" rather than being native to these islands (but we dont know for sure). Also, there are those theories about "human consciousness inside dinosaurs" and "reborning over and over again for Replicator". But to be fair, we cannot be sure with anything we currently know, after Evrima drops alot of stuff will be probably altered, so ... who knows.
so the isle is connected with primal carnage?
Most likely. Primal Carnage is mentioned in Isle's credits, and lore tells us Operation Inferno was an attack on Phoenix from AE - they stole they assets, research, etc. Basically everything that's currently happening on PC:E (dinosaurs are on loose and Mercs are after them) are events soon after Inferno, and it's many years before the current 'Isle' timeline.
It is, the Primal Rex's roar was featured at the end of the "Hope" video.
There’s broken DNA caused Utahraptor have no feathers.
I'm pretty sure that effect is applied to all dinosaur screens. Also, feathers wouldn't be a big enough genetic difference to screw up their DNA I'd think.
I think it would depend on where the feathers would be growing
wasn't it related to the affinity system?
yeah
It was to represent negative affinity.
I dont know if this was already posted but I think the storyline of the isle is: Humans created dinosaurs again/it was a accidental lab break out (that's why there's a radio tower on a bunker) and that's also why there's a bunch of human buildings or there studying them from the building, or that's why they added humans to the game to act like patrollers or scientist
Idk_
_/
I'm sure this can be used for many things , for EX , genetic traits when hatching eggs , effects / conditions aquired during your growth from hatchling / juvi , etc etc
As for me I've noticed sleep deprived bites from nowhere , I'll be standing not even close to my PC and my dino will bite , one of my pack mates noticed this as he was recording ,
I tested this , so I went several days & nights without laying the dino down , ghost bites happen
Periodically take breaks during day and lay down at night - no ghost bites
Can I just say, I really appreciate the theories you guys make. They are interesting to read what you guys think, thank you.
I got an Idea, There should be volcanic Activity
May I take time out of your day to say Please for the love of God read the channel description
I wanted to ask where I can catch up on Theories being in here, befor I tell my own, wich might have already been said.
Because man there are a lot and I sure as hell, would love to theorize with you guys
I mean, in Pins there’s a doc with some game lore, but if you’re lookin purely for the community’s theories, then I’d just scroll up and read, dont think we have a fan theory doc
Ok thank you!
I had looked at the pinned stuff, but not the whole chat just yet,,,
Also I think the topic of humans and what kind seemed to be thrown into the dino's has been discussed already a lot?
Meaty lock did a few videos 2 or so years ago,but it's a good start:

!! Thats awesome, thank you a lot aswell !
Something to keep in mind is that since the DevPowWow thing happened,Dondi acquiered the PC Rights,so disgard when he says that PC is never coming into the isle
oof, kk
im sorry what is pc? lol
Primal Carnage
It’s another Dino game. Think call of duty meets the other team is dinosaurs.
Dondi used to work on that game. 👌
@tight isle You've played Team Fortress 2, right? Imagine that, but with dinosaurs as one team
it's this
PRIMAL CARNAGECreated By Ashton AndersonPrimal Carnage is an online multiplayer shooter that immerses its players in skilled PVP combat, team-based strategy and savage class-oriented matches unlike any you've previously experienced...Dispatched to reclaim a remote island from ...

the original game and the little we know of the canned ps4 launch game is the only relevant things you need to know about pc
since i'm pretty sure dondi refuses to acknowledge the pc:e even exists
I mean, it clearly exists.
Oh i know what primal carnage is. Ty for explaining the abbreviation though
wasnt it confirmed that utahraptors has the least feathers
So this is what I understand so far... there is lore in launching the game, and lore in loading a server (aka island), but what I don' understand is the transcript from a year ago mentioned by MeatyLock. So community help me out with this, our dinosaurs are controlled by the company AE, hypos are only controlled by devs and "lore users", AE wanted the dinos to specialized in some project, and what else?
I'm trying to sort this out
The unpredictable nature of a profile within the mind of a dinosaur was resolved with an affinity complex. We could not make them do what we wanted, so we convinced them that it was what they wanted. This is how they controll them #transmissions
@icy onyx Not sure which transcript you mean, but I don't think we - for now - know who is controlling dinosaurs and strain creatures. It was discussed quite a few times - we might be AE staff, we might be prisoners, we might be people who had something promised - we just don't know. But currently what we presumably know, it seems like we are trapped inside those dinosaurs and we cannot leave this infinitive loop of dying - reborning - dying - reborning etc. To leave this endless trap, we must either follow the Replicator and finish our Profile, or, we must "fight" against it.
But I guess it's hard to tell which info is now outdated and what's not, so, the best way is to wait for some new Lore stuff to appear.
Anyone else notice that the letters on the loading screen when you log into a server are DNA sequences? Look at the ATTCGACATGA...those are DNA codes
I don’t see any RNA sequences though which is crucial for DNA coping.
I believe we are the ones who control the dinosaurs and will at some point be the ones controlling the strains.
i take it as profiles controlling a dinosaur and such are referred to as EIPs,while the profiles controlling the strains are referred to as NEIPs.
EIPs are in the path to completion.
NEIPs can't complete themselves.
I wrote this thing a year or so ago, always helped me understanding the EIP/NEIPs stuff:
EIP - Embryo Intelligence Profile
Embryo definition:
A thing at a rudimentary stage that shows potential for development.
Intelligence definition:
The ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.
Profile Definition:
- An outline of something (Partial view/incomplete view)
- A user's summary of their personal details or current situation.
EIP:
An incomplete profile (Player) who shows potential for completion, capable of learning from mistakes and improving, gaining experience.
NEIP - Non - Embryo intelligence Profile:
An incomplete profile unable to complete itself, incapable of learning from mistakes or improving.
NEIP's can be seen as irrational, feral.
Meanwhile,EIP's are the opposite,rational,conscious.
i don't have the best idea as to why we are seeking completion though,i guess it's one of the big mysteries we will figure out at some point
Eww... what if the dinosaurs were created for a specific purpose, but they got the wiser and turned against AE... therefore, the company mutated the dinosaurs to bend to the company's will and destroy each other. Possibly to instill scientific study or experiments or just to eradicate other dinos. But the dinos have a bit of freedom by building nests and raising hatchlings. Anytime a dinosaur nears a human facility, it causes statics on the dinosaurs part. Here's my theory about that. Loosely connected to the mind controlling thing or how the dinos are controlled, the static is meant as deter for the dinos or as a malfunction of the equipment.
The hypos were designed (by the devs irl) to help stimulate the population since the company couldn't control the amount of dinos reproducing. It's also likely these dinos are controlled by radio frequency or by a private VPN service since their vision becomes static around radio towers. Maybe these dinos have the neurons electronically controlled by shocks to prevent dinosaurs doing "unwanted things"? The lack of static at the radio tower is because the radio frequencies match the same signals that the dinos run on, and the port has no static areas either. So I draw this conclusion. Many of you probably have noted this but the port was definitely a place that handled dinos, but, since it was populated with controlled dinos, the visionary static effect was reduced tremendously.
If that makes any sense.............
Those statics near human facilities are supposed to inform players that these parts of the map are WiP. Or atleast, that was their original purpose.
@grizzled dune Interesting theory, and it actually makes sense. Though, I think NEIP's are those who control neuro-humanoid-creatures rather than strains. Even though Hypers are succumbed to their feral needs (hunger) and other strains probably too, they don't seem to be as crazy/irracionals as those "protectors of Replicator". These creatures are blindly following their god and as Transmittor mentioned, with each new generation, their inteligence, ability of emphaty, etc. are disappearing. It makes them much more primal and degrading, and once they reach a "point of no return", they loose hope to finish their profile and will become NEIP.
Hmm,yeah. I can see that being the case.
It's interesting to think about
Out of curiosity does anyone know why some human structures cause static and others don’t?
I believe someone said that it was because the buildings which don’t make the static are finished, while the others don’t because they’re unfinished? I don’t know if that’s actually it, but that’s the only correlation between them [I think]
Maybe there’s something else in the lore that explains why, but I haven’t seen it mentioned too much 👀👀👀
maybe the isle dinosaurs have a chip in them and when they get too close to the area it corrupts they're vision in the form of static. 👀 👀
I like to think that they have a chip yes. When they get to close to a building it gives them a nasty headache which leads to fuzzy vision. The humans do this so dinos wont harm anyone and stay away.
@safe crescent if that were the case then a nest born dino would not experience the static
@tender vessel actually, it is planned that newborn dinos wont have chips in them
A dino normally spawned will have a tracker chip that mercs can find, but those born on island wont have it
If there is a chip inside do you think that the mercs will ever have a traking device? And the only way not to show in it would be by being born from a nest?
literally... what I just said
In your character load out, you're being tracked... I believe now that the "controlling dino" theory is busted for me personally. And is there a slow motion for the loading screen? It shows a lot of pictures of different items and whatnot
any lore around the lava in canyon on thenyaw? looks pretty..off and man made rocks around it
some ritual place for tribals?
On the top right are "pinned" answers there you can read it
i have looked there but didnt see anything about that place
As far as i remember Thenyaw has no lore, but i might be wrong
Oh wow so the radio tower is morse coder? THATS COOL!
Yea look in #transmissions
Holy crap, there is so much in the isle loading screens
oh wow dondi worked on primal carnage?
did he work on any other games?
wot is atrium B?
@icy onyx Its from Primal Carnage
People in Isle discussion say to ask you guys wot the general story is...
https://docs.google.com/document/d/102ETakYa1vH0VHC9hs_i_kSuum9aVcuH0G4_CobBPr8/edit Its in the pins
But can someone simplify that whole transcript?
no because nobody knows the whole general story
we only have parts and codes from the story
Considering this symbol is a part of the discord's icon, imma just leave this here and see what yall do with it
Btw, contrary to popular belief, its not a symbol for life and medicine
Well technically it is at least for americans
but indeed the official one is rod of asclepius
OK everyone can you tell me your theories of what you think is the full story of the Primal Carnage/ The Isle universe?
The company AE q behind The Isle wanted to create a weapon genetically modified with Human DNA + dinosaur, but for that they would have to get DNA from dinosaur so they would have to recreate it ie they make the dinosaurs but something happens wrong and they have to retreat the island, thus leaving the constructions and the dinosaurs on the island reproducing and as there is the human species in the selection on the menu, there are also the "tribals" and the "mercenaries" that is to say ... The humans who were able to leave the island they lived as tribals and the mercenaries aim to neutralize the dinosaurs, so the mercenaries are sent to the island to neutralize the dinosaurs in exchange for money even though they know that they have many chances of dying. That was my theory, there probably must be something I don't know about the AE company behind The Isle dinosaurs, but that was it ._. (I'm using google translator I'm from Brazil).
for all this "dinosaurs and hypers are weapons" talk, I do want to point out that dondi is very much against dinosaurs being weapons in the modern world(because they're not as effective as standard weapons and require a lot of food, look at any time he criticizes Jurassic world)
can we pin this comment
won't stop people constantly trying to justify the worse form of warfare
but it would help
For anyone who tries to say dinos good weapons
Tanks can effectively destroy targets from about 3km away
Drones/Aircraft can do precission bombing strikes practically anywhere
Same goes for ballistic missiles
Dino has to first run up to the target and bite it
You see the problem?
Unless the dino had some teleportation nonsense, it would get nuked
maybe thats the point - dinos arent good weapons.
But the strains are. Let alone people-piloted dinos.
Well first we need to calculate the penetration of an AP shell against a Hypo T-Rex.
I think its safe to say that an modern AP shell with their bullshit amounts of penetration can get trough an hypo trex
@hushed grove M829 penetrates 540mm of RHA at 2 km, effective firing range 3km
RHA is rolled homogenous armor, aka a hot-rolled steel plate
For lets say russian atgms (anti tank guided missiles)
9M119 Refleks is estimated at 900mms
dont the hyper strains specifically in lore have ridiculous healing capabilities or am i misremembering
like to the point of "oh you shot me with AP rounds, that hurt... but cool, but now i know where that came from, time to die"
okay healing capablities aint doing shit if ya heart or head gets blasted and you drop dead instantly.
technology can advance much further than biology. If these things are going through metal, theyre going through a dino that has skin a little bit thicker than a normal version of its species
hypers being weapons
consider for a moment that ENTIRE ECOSYSTEMS can't support a hyper, the ridiculous raw amount of food required to sustain it would be insane, and in the end you get something that can still be killed by militaries, it would be a tremendous waste of resources
also the devs have hinted/confirmed that hypers are only invincible to regular gun fire, and that even on the island mercs will be able to find a weapon that can kill them
Animals as weapons are just more expensive and more useles.
Theres reason cavarly was outdated
by the time WW1 came
animals are just big targets
and are more expensive to upkeep compared to humans
and lemme tell you
we went from first tank prototypes to machines capable of dominating battlefield
in about 100 years
and weapon development
is only getting faster
Weaponisation of the dinosaurs is dumb
I feel like it was intended more akin to using like utahraptors and the like akin to military working dogs are used now. Not just throw them out and have them run directly at the enemy
but, especially with a more engineered/intelligent dinosaur, the idea of "Release them (and there would need to be multiples) into a hostile environment where we don't care about the local populace" to cause mass disruption would certainly be a viable stategy, especially if some method were employable to recall/subdue the dinosaurs/strains
yeah, but for a corporation or black market buyers/criminal organizations, why would they care?
maybe for continued purchase from the source, but the major benefit to dinosaurs/strains would be the over time cost reduction, since you could keep breeding them.
only thing I could see working is small neuro dinos with emp shit that are ''piloted'' by a human, so its just a human with an avatar for tactical use
plus the dinosaurs don't contaminate the surrounding area with dangerous byproducts
as if war criminals care about the surrounding area
if you do war crimes, you might just nuke the place
and I dunno, a pack of raptors trained to the same degree as MWDs would terrify me
let alone strains
and tbh, getting dinos would be a lot more expensive
at first, yes
than most wmds
didnt know you needed to train WMDs pretty sure at best you kill some people until they just decide to fuck off
