Server Rules

These rules will be updated/changed as time goes on. As a user of the discord it is your responsibility to have read and understood these rules before engaging in the channels below.

1. Please do not tag/pm developers
We are diligently working on the game itself and would appreciate a lack of disturbances. If you have an issue that you’d like assistance with please use the <@&933486433342222376> or tag/pm @vestal elk, who is exempt from this rule.

2. Be courteous and respect all other users
To be clear personal attacks, passive-aggressive behaviour, and aggressive messages are unacceptable. If you feel another user is attacking or being aggressive towards you, directly message a <@&933486433342222376> . Do not respond publicly. This simply continues the back and forth that derails topics and makes them uncomfortable for other users. This also includes counter-breaking rules.

3. Moderators/Staff have the final say
If a moderator or staff member takes disciplinary action or posts an instruction (for example, to stop with a particular topic), you must adhere to this. If you'd like to discuss an issue pertaining to Moderation, you can DM a <@&579345586965446657> or @vestal elk himself.

4. Assistance Requests
If you'd like assistance please use the <@&933486433342222376> tag, you'll receive a response as soon as help is available. You may also opt to privately message a moderator, or those with the moderator tag if you so choose to. Additionally if you require troubleshooting support, tag the <@&818552355796287508> role to receive assistance from someone better equipped to help you.

5. Posting Rules
Do not post anything which is NSFW. This includes but is not limited to: excessive profanity and sexual/illicit content, Hateful, threatening, provocative or vulgar content or videos/images of animals under duress in any form is not allowed. Nor is any content which infringes on copyright or violates any other applicable law(s).

Do not post hyper distorted audio, maximized audio, or videos focused on the subject. In short; Don't blow out peoples ear drums. Also please refrain from discussing controversial topics such as religion and politics.

6. Naming Rules
Keep your Discord username limited to standard characters only. Also, do not impersonate a moderator, staff member, or dev in any form.

7. All content must be posted in English
All content must be posted in English as it is not possible for us to moderate the Discord otherwise. In very specific cases (such as distributing a translation), foreign languages may be used, provided that an English translation is included as well.

8. You are responsible for your account's actions. Keep it secure!
You are responsible for your account's actions, and as such your account will receive punishment for any violations it commits. Keep your login details private and take other appropriate security measures to keep your account secure. Similarly, don't immediately open a link from an unknown source. Often you'll easily fool a bot by attempting to ask them some questions.

9. Advertisement Rules
Do not attempt to sell or trade any products or services in our community. If you'd like to advertise your own Isle servers, you can do so in #unofficial-isle-communities

10. Please do not ask for ETAs (Estimated Time of Arrivals)
Please do not ask for ETAs (Estimated Time of Arrivals), content will be released when it's ready.

11. Please do not spread misinformation
Do not spread misinformation. If you cannot find it in any of our official sources (Discord, Twitter, Steam) it is most certainly untrue.

12. Common sense applies at all times
Common sense applies at all times. If a Moderator feels your content or conduct is unacceptable, their decision is final and must be respected. As noted in Rule 3, if you would like to dispute/discuss a Moderator's decision you can contact a <@&579345586965446657> or @vestal elk himself.

13. Please do not use alt accounts
Please limit yourself to a single Discord account. When duplicate accounts are discovered, the duplicates may be removed from the server. If you try to evade a role/permissions change through the use of an additional account, you significantly diminish your chance of being unbanned in the future.

To reiterate, do not post any content that:
Is defamatory, hateful, threatening or insulting
Is offensive or posted with the intent of harassing someone
Is likely to cause offense with no intention of engaging in a constructive discussion
Is excessively repetitive (aka spam)
Contains NSFW/Suggestive material
Contains misinformation
Infringes on others' intellectual property rights including copyright
Violates or encourages violations of the law
