Sir, he actually means that if we add things at the sides of another object, e.g- a block on the side of a block, it faces towards or gets oriented accordingly or even rotates in that way.

If that is the case, have you tried pressing J on PC? I think that one changes the snapping.

They can use the feature of changing the snapping. There's a button which shows the snapping. Two types of snapping; 1- Staying straight in any surface.
- Getting oriented according to the surface.
