I was playing and when I got my weapons, I noticed they didn't match the world's aesthetic or my character at all. Personally, the modeling looks really cheap, and that's why I'm suggesting Scorched Guns 2 as a replacement. I personally found it to be a better mod because it has combat integration with Create, adds some mobs, and, above all, has a better art style. Also, its weapons function more effectively across different tiers.

You gotta be kidding? TACZ is ok, models made by TFG Team is junky but models from TACZ is amazing, and if you use such term as "MinEcRaft sTyle" you should NOT play any mods whatsoever. Because you now what? ANY mod is NOT Minecraft style, GregTech isn't, because all machines and chemicals are (quote): "To ReAlIStic for MinECraft StyLe".
Taking about SG2 it's unrealistic as F**k there are literally MAGIC WANDS in mod, also SG2 is F__ing ugly, Original SG was way better than crap we got now.
Secondly: TFG is REALISTIC modpack so it is obvious that guns would be realistic. If you don't like it go play something else (Vanilla for example :))) )
P.S. Personally, I would like if TFG Team actually left all guns from TACZ in game and just locked them behind different stages, also addons for weapons from second half of 19th century would be perfect for late steam age(Like in RDR2)

I also find it bizarre to have models that look like literal actual real guns with model names, it borderline feels like product placement

I like the art of scorched guns better and I personally am picky about art style too. Yes tacz ones are pretty detailed but at least they stick to cubes and octagons. While we looked through gun mods a while ago, there were mods out there that looked far worse. From what I remember, we went with tacz partly because it's been around for a while so it has lots of compat addons and gun packs out there, but also because the "gun feel" felt one of the best.
I personally wasn't involved in the decision other than the art direction part but I remember some of the gun mods we tried just felt like wet noodles, were way overpowered, or had other things we didn't want like tons of blood splatter and so on
also also, we've already spent a lot of time carefully integrating and balancing the tacz guns we have now. I don't see a reason to undo all that work
In the client settings, you can disable blood particles, and there's a data pack from both the creator and the community to change damage, reload speed, ammunition used for each weapon, etc. I understand there wasn't a very important reason to waste all that time configuring tacz within the modpack. But it really dashed my hopes of seeing the weapons in the modpacks xd. Even so, thank you very much for considering it.
