Hello. I've started playing TFG lately and it's frankly everything I've ever wanted in a modpack. However, it's come a point where I need redstone and I cannot find it at all. I've tried in version 0.9.4 and 0.9.5, flying for literal hours around granite caves in spectator mode and checking the super ore prospector, and in the process I haven't managed to find a single ore. I don't know if it is supposed to be this rare or not, but I seem to be encountering rarer ores way more often. I wanted to know if any of you guys are having the same problem. Thank you!

no, it definitely shouldn't be that rare if you're finding lots of granite

I don't know what the problem might be then. I've tried doing the same thing in a different world, and I'm not finding any in this one either, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the world I was playing in.

hm, you could try downloading a new instance of TFG and copying your world across? no idea what could've caused this specifically

Hi, I tried generating different worlds in the latest instance, and even generating a world with the same seed, but no luck. If I'm the only one having this issue, there must be something I'm missing, but I'm right now I'm pretty baffled 😅 . The seed of my original world is 1665507687484992618, in case you want to check. There is a huge system of granite caves around x:1000, z:1000.

so i looked at the world in creative with an ore prospector and found some pretty quickly. i don't think redstone ore veins get very big
idk if you want me to just give you the coordinates or if you just want me to point you in the right direction?

Iirc I found it at 15, -45
I had gone out to 1000, 1000 and didn't see anything on the prospector, but im also of the opinion that you shouldn't bother to try mining in the ocean

Thanks a lot, I swear I've spent hours looking in different worlds and this is the first time I've seen it! My bad for not being thorough enough, but I was finding so much more of rarer ores (I've seen tons of beryllium) that I thought there must be a problem. Sorry for making you do the job!
I hope I won't need much more than what I can find in that vein though 😅
