Huge lag spikes even though at the beggining it was fine

I am playing on my laptop and at the beginning everything was okey. A little bit laggey but nothing to bad. Right around the beginning of iron age gameplay quality started decraesing rapiddly, huge lag spike, not being able to walk due to delayes. I've tried turning down every option but nothing works. Any suggestion as to why it may be happening?

there may not be enough RAM, or the processor or graphics card is weak. If possible, it is better to make a local server if you are playing alone
