I try connecting to a pair of earbuds, I get

Attempting to connect to B4:84:D5:A5:6C:23
Failed to connect: org.bluez.Error.Failed br-connection-unknown

After checking archwiki, I tried turning on the daemon in debug mode, but:

sudo[25317]: sirfireball : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/home/sirfireball ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd -n -d
bluetoothd[25320]: Bluetooth daemon 5.85

Any advice on what to try from here?

it does trust and pair fine, but not connect
