my fix was to use pikaur then reinstall both yay and paru

i just used pacman to remove yay and then installed paru

that is, after removing yay and paru, do full system upgrade, reinstall yay and paru
based aur helper as it doesn't have the dependencies of yay and always works

point is its not difficult at all, but nowadays you REALLY should not use yay anymore, just because both paru and pikaur exist and are soo much better
