#Permissions inconsistently being enforced

Unless you use SELinux or a sandboxing method, anything running under your user can rw to home, along with everything else your user has access to
Basically any apps can do anything you can do with apps or shell
wine can’t (but only sometimes), but dolphin can
i don’t use selinux nor any sandboxing
exacly what is happening with when wine cant access it?
wine just won’t open. no errors or anything (sometimes, however, the apps will give an error, like the EA app’s installer, which explicitly says it didn’t have permission to write to the prefix’s program files directory)
