Wifi connection is n't saving my password ( nmtui)
not saving

still same problem
when u delete it try connecting with the tray applet in KDE instead of using nmtui
when i use to tray applet and put my password it discoonnect
even if u delete first?
yup
I delete and put password through tray
but some issue happen & it doesn't even connect
and it's not saving my password in nmtui connection
do you have any idea ?
I c gnome-keyring, they say it stores passwords, but idk if this works
what you mean?
do u got a wallet/keyring to save credentials to?
what u got if u open kwalletmanager assuming it's installed
nope i dont know what is that
do u got an app called kwalletmanager if u just search for that in kde?
I am installing rn
now tell me
I have install kwalletmanager5
what should i do
open kwalletmanager and create a wallet, use blowfish and set the password to the same thing as ur user login so it will auto unlock when u login
can you tell me in steps
what do u see when u open kwalletmanager
ye just put a password, put the same one as ur user login so it'll auto unlock when u login
tell me name for wallet or should i choose random
you mean my arch user password ?
or my wifi password?
u are using kde plasma, right?
nope
I am just using hyprland
nothing else
idk if kwallet gonna work properly then
aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
u can try anyway, click open and then delete connection again and make it
then see if it added something to the wallet
it shows me this when i open it
actually looking online kwallet should work on hyprland too
if u create ur wifi connection now does it put an entry in there?
using nmtui?
ye
nice
networkmanager didnt have any wallet or keyring serivce to save the password to
now u installed one so it put it in there
lmao I reboot the system it's not working anymore
idk what the heck happened
if u open kwallet does it have a Network Management thing inside?
shet
what to do now?
try manually add the password to the nmconnection file maybe
How?
sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Vivek.nmconnection
then
do u see it inside there already or nah?
it's already in there
so idk why it dont remember the password when clearly it's right there lol
yess ! maybe because I connect to wifi with nmtui
but when i disconnect to tray wifi & try reconnect it dooesn't let me now
as you can see my password isn't save
ye that's weird

do something
what is that ?
anyone is here ?
yup !
i am able to connect with my other wifi
idk what is that
oo
problem is that I have to put password everytime using nmtui
and for some tray wifi doesn't let me connect with my main wif but it let's me connect with my other wifi
I don't have plasma
I just have hyprland
do you found the problem
??
