Since yesterday I have been experience random complete freezes of the system, including the kernel (Magic SysRq did not work meaning the kernel was also dead). It was right after I upgraded to kernel 6.16.3, i reverted back to 6.16.1 and the issue now (i think) takes longer to manifest but still happens. I checked journalctl and it has nothing relevant.

as long as I don't use them everything is fine
