I am currenrly trying to reinstall a dotfile for hyprland only to realize that its constantly failing, due to not being able to download yay and launching PKGbuild
What ive tried
Sudo pacman -S yay(not found)
Cloning through aur snd git(timeout)

i have asked around for a bit and they sent me this linkhttps://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git/
which is currently 404
but googled it and found nothing

@quasi garden aur.archlinux.org are currently down so it is currently not possible to install yay unless you have the PKGBUILD files from other sources. I would recommend wait
yay are also pretty useless without AUR so... no reason to get it until AUR are back online 😉

That's because it's not the correct link
if you were able to get 404 it means AUR is working for you right now
Could change in a few minutes though

I tried yay bin too
It also resulted in timeouts

The error tells you it can't access aur.archlinux.org....
I wonder if there might be some kind of connection between AUR being out of for maintenance and your error message...
@quasi garden Just wait a few hours before doing anything related to AUR (like installing yay) at the moment....
