Old laptop asus x201e
MBR partitioning:
p1 4G swap (82)
p2 300G root (83), bootable

p1 starts from 2048*512bytest, so there is 0.5 MiB post MBR gap. Grub recommends 1-2 MiB gap, but I don't get how could it affect on boot options absence
Grab installed, /boot/grub/grub.cnf generated
