Ok
- what do you need
dnffor? - how do you usually install packages, if you don't know how to update? just
pacman -Sshould error out after a while if you don't update
When it asked for dnf i said yes randomly and yea i do updates that way just pacman -S things
Tldr: OP installed fedora's dnf on arch
i'm not asking about the y that you typed right now, i'm asking about why do you even have dnf on your system. you must've intentionally installed it at some point, the question is - why?
do you know what dnf is?
dnf is a package manager from Fedora and you use Arch not Fedora..
I must have done it accidentally
Could we see a pacman -Syu run as root?
so sudo su to get as root, and then just pacman -Syu
the safest thing to do right now would be
./pacman-static -Qi electron32
so i know what packages depend on electron32 before i instruct you to forcefully get rid of it
and yeah you will take a lot of pictures here
Also they should remove dnf
that will take place once pacman is fixed
dnf has nothing to do on Arch
you mistyped
Oh yea sorry
Did it
Now
Archinstall?
Copied the iso on a usb and followed a guide
And how you ended installing dnf? And why
.s litany
Please follow the Standard Litany when asking a question:
• What was your environment? What was your operating system, configuration?
• What did you do? What did you run or test? Where?
• What actually happened? What were the exact results, complete log contents, exact error messages?
• What did you expect? What were you aiming to achieve? What result were you looking for?
Vague or superficial questions will yield vague or superficial answers. False information leads to false solutions.
I have to do smth else to do rn i can fix this thing tomorrow
okay
Thanks
solved it
I just did sudo ./pacman-static -S pacman and then i did sudo pacman -Syu and now it works
