#KDE Plasma unstable on specific AMD GPUs

I run two different GPUs in my pc, a 6650XT, and a 5500 XT. On KDE Plasma, I cannot use the wayland session as it causes weird display flickers in any fullscreen application on the 6650XT, and straight up crashes amdgpu on the 5500XT. I cannot use the 5500XT at all as a primary since both wayland and X11 crash afer a few seconds due to amdgpu experiencing timeouts. I know for sure the actual hardware isnt damaged because this only occurs on KDE Plasma, not on other operating systems such as windows. The main thing im looking for is how I can properly debug/test this issue, and if I can figure out some way to solve the instability, as I've been stuck on X11 due to wayland's incompatibilities with my hardware.

linux, linux firmware, amdgpu, and kde plasma are all up to date

Specify the correct module order

Make sure amdgpu has been set as first module in the Mkinitcpio#MODULES array, e.g. MODULES=(amdgpu radeon).

if you read the entire thing and it doesnt solve your problem, then idk

every little part of it

#

since the wiki usually has it all

#

my problems got fixed on the wiki with nvidia

ill try combing through it

thats what fixed my nvidia problems

but the dumbest part is i get no error messages with the display flickering

#

it just flickers for no reason and only when on wayland

#

(maybe because wayland is dookie cheeks but nobody's ready for that)

I also changed my kernel 3 times and still no issues

#

I just installed the right drivers :p

also i cant seem to find anything about weird black screen flicking on the amdgpu page, ill try looking into wayland stuff itself

using different installs/drives

#

its a persistient issue

#

and no, the hardware isnt damaged

#

like i still have zero clue why wayland just gives amdgpu a stroke specifically on the 5500XT, i tried it on two different 5500XT's and the issue persists

#

i boil down every other variable and it lies to using the 5500XT, which makes zero sense
