your gpu is dead

#

or will be dead

#

but is already partially dead

#

or maybe even just your monitor

#

or cable

#

try a bit and see what's the issue

Or it can be that gnome isn't hitting the same damaged areas as kde

#

Try switching to full open source and see what happens

#

Or just switch the versions you have, dunno if you're using the dkms versions or something

#

While you're at it, try switching to the normal kernel as well if you haven't already

@gusty onyx

#

it could be gpu

#

or

#

it could be that the monitor isnt getting enough power

You're not alone, same thing happens to me on kde plasma wayland regardless of distro on Nvidia with two monitors. The only fix i know of is to use X11 instead.

I remember not having a problem with this before, so maybe either an nvidia driver or kde plasma update broke something?
