/usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad103 ; 104 ; 106 ; 107 are preventing me from updating

i also got this error while the update was being downloaded

and had to run the update again

turns out it was not a network issue

but instead a known issue with the linux-firmware package

i had to remove it

sudo pacman -Rdd linux-firmware

and update with the linux firmware package included

sudo pacman -Syu linux-firmware
