Hyprland key layout issue after login

I installed arch along with hyprland using an archinstall script. I installed it on my second ssd for dual booting purposes. During the installation I changed the keyboard layout from us to slovene. But after booting into hyprland I opened up the terminal and after typing I noticed that it changed back to us layout.

note that the keyboard configuration set in live iso is separate from the one set on the actual installation
