Rufus not detecting Cdrive unallocated space

i want to dual boot with it and i can't format as it isn't detecting the unallocated c:drive space

wait is it becuase its on the same drive as windows and it won't format

my brain is too smooth to comprehend ts for now ngl

wait so how'd i format my unallocated space in the c:drive? are there any other tools?

you're not supposed to use rufus for that

rufus is meant to make bootable usb's, not to directly install a distro to a partition

what are you trying to do may wipe the entire drive

like, if rufus allowed you to choose the main drive, it would wipe it entirely to flash an ISO file

you make unallocated space, then make a bootable usb with ventoy.
then, boot to your usb, and install your distro
