[SOLVED] Can't connect to any minecraft server

I have two networks, lets name them

A - is a hotspot from my phone which i use because normal wifi is bad
B - is my normal house network

When I try to join a server with network A, it does not let me join and displays an error (i can send a screenshot) BUT when using network B it lets me join and works fine. I tried pinging the server ip with both networks, it was successful both times

its not mine and also to connect to a minecraft server you have to type in the ip and click connect

When you're doing a Wi-Fi hotspot is your phone connected to your Wi-Fi and then you do a hotspot from your phone or are you just doing it off of cellular service

is the ip a local ip or is it normally accessible from most networks?

If you could connect with the other network then connecting with the hotspot shouldn't be a problem because all of the network configuration is on the host

Okay if it time is out it's probably just a bad connection

But I don't know there's nothing to show that there's a network issue logically but physically since it's over rf the signal isn't necessarily as reliable

Why would you go and use a wireless hotspot instead of your home network

yup. even i do because we simply dont have ethernet cables running in the walls in the second floor in this house for some reason

You can still run cable through the house with proper cable management

I don't know maybe I'm the only one crazy enough to do it

You could even use fiber optic since it's thinner

They have car clips used for routing wires in cars but basically just small clips with adhesive backing and it would be good for routing fiber

The only other reason I could see it not working for your hotspot is if you had like some sort of firewall on your phone or hotspot

But I'm not exactly sure how that works
