#Need help removing dualboot and making it single boot

EndeavourOS is a nice arch-based distro with some good defaults and stuff. Moving to vanilla arch isn't that tough. You just kinda have to be able to read.
read?
Read the Arch wiki's install guide.
ok. but once I set it up does it give any advantage compared to what you suggested [EndeavourOS]
Um, that's up to you, really. To me, I like to tinker and customize my system precisely how I want it, and that's what vanilla arch lets me do.
my goal is somewhat same.
also what should I keep in mind while I am trying to remove my previous dual boot.
Then vanilla arch is what you'd wanna use. Just know that you are putting pretty much every piece of your operating system together like a puzzle. You'll know what's all in there tho and capable of at least googling what you need to know to configure it to your needs.
Try to think about any files you'd like to keep. Personal pictures, etc.
oh, not this. like In which order should I go.
- create a bootable for vanilla arch.
2, remove windows os - remove ubuntu
- install vanilla arch os
That's a good list.
is there any other thing that I missed?
I think I need to do something with grub as well
but not sure
Wdym?
don't I need to remove boot loader or does it get removed with the removal of os?
If you just do what I did and just kinda...delete every single partition on the system before installation, you won't have to worry about bootloaders because well..nothing would be left, lol
got it, delete every partition
Also, Arch wiki is your friend. It will tell you most things you would need to know.
thanks, will update here if I get this right.
mega_juul52 received a thank you cookie!
I'm gonna have to go for a bit so my responses may not be super quick.
cool

why are we not using a iso image here?
is there a specific reason why youre considering this over just the normal archiso?
no reason. was just following the steps in the guide and this just went over my head.
i suggest sticking with the normal arch iso over netboot on this one
oh I think this is for ISO with USB drive - https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/USB_flash_installation_medium
seems more like it. even if i personally prefer ventoy
following this guide - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxeriGuJKTM&t=2590s
how many of these packages are necessary for installation - [attached image]
and are there any better alternatives for these?
youre going to likely need base-devel at some point along with grub, efibootmgr, nano, network manager and sudo. when it comes to gnome and gnome-tweaks, those can be replaced by whatever desktop you prefer. either that be KDE plasma, or a tiling window manager. unless you prefer gnome of course.
also. i suggest also getting pipewire for audio
.aw pipewire
@sage ravine just make a ventoy USB with arch iso and wipe your entire drive. Don't follow random videos as they are outdated or wrong. You can use archinstall for a speedrun
Backup your data before wiping
apparantly we need to add user to audio group to allow access to sound card.
odd, pipewire should do that
