i'm having an issue with both electron based applications (discord, codium) and firefox that goes as following:

i open any of those applications and they initially run fine, but after some time trying to look for issues i looked into the system resource usage and noticed that the memory usage greatly increases (not to the point of being visibly full but doubling the value) right before the graphic session freeze having me unable to input keys to chainge into a tty.

will provide logs if asked, will provide package list query if asked, i assume it is a glibc problem but i have not find any solution yet to it online or in this server before posting this, execstack did not function in regard of fixing the issue with web applications.
i updated my system using paru -Syyud before testing, glibc version is 2.41+r9+ga900dbaf70f0-1, linux version is 6.13.2-zen1-1-zen x86_64 and lastly i joined with the purpose of asking about this issue

#

@fleet isle don't -Syyud

#

-Syu is just fine

#

also, paru by it's self work

#

i'm aware of the syntax but that was just to make sure

#

@fleet isle are you on the testing repos?

#

nope

mb

rare stone
#

what are you running?

fleet isle
#

there's a python script for catching notifications and an shell script to managing it

#

I have had problems using other notification managers with electron apps in the past, trying something like dunst might be worth a shot

there's other stuff i was looking through the person that was helping me with the backend but this might have to do with the eww logs too

#

i have notifications currently disabled but i think the polling is still running because of the logs

#

this to be more specific about it
