So i’ve been dualbooting windows and linux for a while without any issiues, but today i was met with this screen never going away after booting from grub. Am i screwed? I have some important projects on there so wouldn’t want to lose those..

Also last boot i installed nvidia drivers

#

Seems to be that because i can still enter password and then mod+enter and write shutdown 0 and the pc stops

You "should" be able to bypass grub and boot into them by directly selecting the partitions on the bios screen

Check if you can boot directly into the windows and arch install from your bios menu.

It only gives me 3 alternatives:

  • EFI Hard Device (grub > arch)
  • Windows Boot Manager
  • EFI PXE Network

I tried plugging in my secound monitor and it works

#

But xrandr doesn’t detect eDP-1 which isn’t great

you should be able to access another TTY on your laptop

#

you can see the cursor in the top left which indicates you are in a tty but nothing is rendered

#

uninstall nvidia drivers

#

install video-linux

#

spin up your desktop

#

install other nvidia-drivers

#

video-nouveau might also just work

#

if you want to use proprietary drivers get them from the nvidia website
