@alpine locust @main dust in virt-manager?
Yes sir. At least in my case.
what game(s)?
In my case, just Maplestory. Sol wanted something school related I think

It USED to work some time back in my VM.
it's not a vm, it's using bottles
Would I run the launcher installer via bottles, or the .exe from steam with it?
read the guide
Nope, the launcher doesn't seem to like Bottles very much. It seems to crash the launcher or something.
try adding it to steam
did you install the flatpak of bottles, or the aur version
Uhh... I think the aur version
they recommended using the flatpak version
I guess I'll give that one a try. The game IS on steam, but launching with proton also fails.
Nope, that's still just crashing when the flatpak version runs. In the VM, it works for a few minutes, but then boots me out
undetectable does not equal unbanable
I suppose I'm stuck with the queue times of geforce now then. :c
@main dust does it work?
Geforce now?
The flatpak version fails pretty hard. Steam/proton crashes at the anti-cheat. the VM DOES run, but after a seemingly random time between a minute and an hour or so, it boots me out. and Geforce now DOES work, but boots me hourly due to time limits in the free tier. Also queues
Why are you using bottles when you bought the game on steam?
Also heroic and lutris are far better them bottles
https://www.protondb.com/app/216150 also this game is borked not gonna work on Linux
Because Tofu suggested to try it on bottles. I was trying to see about making a VM not be detected to run it in a VM
Well then we are still not anticheat yet
Well there is no way to make a vm undetectable there are anti cheats that can still detect that you are on a vm like valorant's vanguard
