#How to get an Xorg Session with FreeRDP-Server

https://github.com/neutrinolabs/xrdp/issues/960 seems to be relevant, except it uses a different server and even that is just a proxy to x11vnc
why would you even go through the trouble of using microsoft's rdp protocol on linux
Good question, it's a work laptop, and they are very weird about any remote access tech, so rdp is like my only option
I managed to sneak parsec on there for a bit before the scan caught it
I'll check out that post in AM, ty 🙂
if you're by any chance using Gnome as your home environment or whatever, Gnome has a built in RDP server that connects you to its existing x11 or wayland session
Yeah, I really want to avoid gnome if I can
do you know how to generate default PAM config files for Arch?
I have made some progress but its choking on a missing common-account file from /etc/pam.d/
but I haven't a notion what that should look like
any Ive found online have been customized so not ideal
pam_unix(ogon:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost= user=
