When you switch your desktop environment, you're still using the same home directory, and there share data
If you want to get rid of the old data, you can go through your home directory and delete old configurations in .config and .local
Or if you don't have anything you want to save, you can clear out the home directory, but please note this will delete stuff like browser data, steam games, and personal files
