Hello, I am running through the archlinux installation guide and was midway through installing my integrated graphics drivers through the mesa package (which completed) when my laptop became hot and the usb ports stopped functioning, causing repeated Squashfs error. In a panic I powered off the system, but now the laptop's screen no longer turns on, and the fans are ramping up.
In case there's a particular fix for this old laptop, it's a
Macbook 2,1 (Late 2006) with a Core 2 Duo T7200, 4 GB of ram, and a new 1TB ssd.
I'm very new to linux as this is my first time with it, so any help is greatly appreciated.
