You can just use /boot as your EFI directory when installing GRUB

I just created a GPT scheme with an EFI partition mounted on /boot, but GRUB asks for the esp folder even tho the wiki says I can have serious problems with the kernel updates If I dont keep them updated, the thing is, the compatibility table says that GRUB is compatible, so is there an easy way to make it work?
