I need to increase the size of my boot partition, however despite my best efforts I am so far unable.

In the partition manager, the option is simply greyed out (srceenshot). If I open it and try in cfdisk, it will either say "Maximum size is [some big number] bytes." or it will say that it successfully enlarged it, but it still remains at 203M. I have 30GB of unallocated space.

I originally tried to increase it's size during the installation process in the live iso, but I was basically getting the same results from what I recall.

if boot is partition 1, you will need to shrink partition 2 so that 1 has room to grow

you will have to move the (soon to be) unallocated space to the beginning of partition 2
