Preemptively: I used the install script. And left it to mostly defaults apart from keyboard config. I also followed these insutrctions, just ignoring secureboot
https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/wiki/Installation-and-Setup#Arch

I'm using gnome on xorg.
SecureCore is disabled.
SecureBoot is disabled.
It is Arch 6.6.39-1-lts
I have updated everything.
I do have internet. I configered the wifi.

The issues I noticed so far:

  • The "surface" kernel doesn't seem to show up.
  • Touchscreen is not working.
  • I did install yay and made sure to install libwacom-surface
  • When it goes to sleep it just shit's itself and needs to be hard reset(power button held for 15s) and then boots only when pressing power+vol-Down

it's likely I missed something when installing. I'm happy to reinstall if necessary. Though I believe there's just a step I forgot somewhere and I can't seem to figure it out.
Any help would be great <3

I intended to use debian instead but debian just didn't boot at all. So arch it was instead. I'm somewhat okay on linux but arch is decently new to me ^^

Small update. Yeah the kernel needs to be manually loaded with systemd. I have no clue what the names are.
