just installed arch with KDE and wayland.
i have nvidia installed nvidia drivers, and verified the DRM kernel mode setting works
GPU is RTX 2080ti
there seems to be a problem though:
im missing nvidia settings control center (is that normal?)
and everything feels incredibly laggy and bad, especially mouse movement.
if i run lscpi to check currently used GPU drivers, it says nvidia.
is my gpu driver installation unfinished?

i manually installed nvidia-settings, it looks like this:
is it normal for this to be blank?
should i do this 'experimental' setting? is that expected for smooth desktop?
i forgot to do this, do i have to redo everything from scratch?

solution found:
Nvidia enabled GSP firmware by default on their proprietary drivers in 555. Many people reported issues like you've mentioned that were supposedly fixed with the above kernel param.
add nvidia.NVreg_EnableGpuFirmware=0 to kernel parameters to fix it and make everything smooth as it should be
