hello there, i just recently got my hands on my thinkpad P51, which is currently undergoing charging port repair so i don't have it on my hands rn, but i was wondering how would one go about setting the drivers up and get optimus working out of the box and not using a utility like optimus-manager for switching through integrated and dedicated graphics, and a hybrid option but is there a more refined way of doing this? my HDMI port stops working every time nvidia drivers are installed

Setting up proprietary Nvidia drivers and Optimus
oh yeah and i use the standard kernel
There's a few ways to do it based off this page

GNOME seems to have it's implementation for it, so I would look into that
yeah i also used bumblebee
