#[SOLVED] No internet in arch-iso

Hi, I'm trying to install arch on my machine, however I have no access to the internet.
The PC has windows installed. I have done some research but I couldn't fix it yet. I have tried to run dhcpcd as well as trying using wifi. I followed the wiki for that, and it seems like I was connected to the wifi but pinging google still didn't work. I have tried older versions of arch isos, but same thing. I have also tried installing other distros and they seem to work fine. Any ideas? I'm quite lost.

@vagrant elm iwctl

station wlan0 connect "wifiname"

vagrant elm
#

I'll try it

#

Unless it's 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1

Oh forgive me didn't even see the first command

vagrant elm

No problem

Hmm

Is there like an external firewall?

#

Since packets are being transmitted but cannot be received...

#

Maybe check in your router's configuration...

vagrant elm
#

I'll check

vagrant elm
#

And again, this only happens in the arch iso, nowhere else. The EndeavourOS live installation worked fine, as well as the ubuntu one

#

This might be a problem from your isp

vagrant elm
#

Just tried ping -4 google.com and that one worked

#

And ping -6 google.com has the 100% packet loss problem

#

Alright, I disabled ipv6 by editing the GRUB file, and now pinging google.com works

#

I'll proceed with the installation like this for now to test it

@vagrant elm what de/wm are you going to pick?

shy cedar
# vagrant elm Hyprland

I wouldn't recommended using a wm for my first use of a wm in arch, I would recommended using a de to get to know arch a little bit better, then use a wm

vagrant elm
#

Just did a minimal install, logged in to my account, and same thing as before, ping with ipv4 is working, but with ipv6 is not working

shy cedar
#

good choice

vagrant elm
#

archinstall

vagrant elm
#

shy cedar
#

vagrant elm
#

Sorry, what do you mean as a package? I only selected the option in the archinstall script, nothing else

shy cedar
vagrant elm

that package shows up in pacman -Q

shy cedar
#

as installed?

vagrant elm
#

yes

shy cedar
#

vagrant elm
#

ping google.com

vagrant elm

shy cedar

# shy cedar does it matter?

If you're asking if it matters that I can't ping with ipv6 after being able to install arch, then no, not really. Personally I'd like to understand the issue, but in regards to my original problem, no. But again, thanks for all the help
