#USB audio being... clogged? for lack of a better word

As of today's first boot, I have found that my system refuses to output any audio to my USB headphones, and will pause any media playback in the process. Switching to HDMI/DP audio output through my GPU causes all media to resume, and I presume play sound, although I cannot test this because my monitor lacks speakers. I've had this problem before, but only with specific programs, and that entirely disappeared after I ditched Nvidia drivers. Additionally, replacing pipewire-pulse with true pulseaudio fails to fix this problem, but I do hear a brief pop from my speakers when I open Pavucontrol with either pulseaudio or pipewire, as if they've opened communications with their USB dongle (they're wireless but I think not strictly bluetooth) in preparation for playing a sound.

Update: reverting to the 21/03/2024 archives has temporarily fixed it, but I'd still like to have a working option for up-to-date packages
