it says the output is dummy output
like what the hell does that mean? ive searched in other forums and i dont know how to apply their solutions to mine
you need to tell people what you've installed, if you haven't installed anything for it, maybe consider pipewire, or pulseaudio (I would recommend pipewire), check the wiki for more information
ive tried sudo pacman -S pulseaudio
but it says it doesnt exist
is it in aur?
@craggy plover can you run sudo pacman -Syu pulseaudio?
do you use ALSA, PulseAudio or PipeWire for your audio?
.aw pulse_audio
No results found.
I mean unless you’re not on arch, it does exist, according to the wiki page and the packages db
i dont know
alright let's just try unmuting all the sound card channels for each sound system
alsamixer
how do i do thay
at first let's just try typing in alsamixer
you have pipewire installed.
systemctl --user status pipewire-pulse.service pipewire.service wireplumber.service
i'm not really familiar with anything that's not old school alsa so i'll go away for now
if nobody can really help you i'll get back
its fine, thank you anyway <3
vlad557776 received a thank you cookie!
had to open discord on my pc
have you checked the Configuration tab in pavucontrol as sometimes the profile defaults to off which is not what we want.
what is pavucontrol?
ah okay ill do that now <3
LOLLL
why isn't it detecting the fact that ihave fucking speakers bruh
that's strange.

does audio normally work immediately from the time you install arch
or is this something you manually do
have you tried installing sof-firmware
trying it now
im getting a lot of warnings
but it installed
now wat
wdym, by warnings?
yeah, it's fine. just reboot
oh ya btw another random question
when i reboot
i get something called error failed virtual console setup
before it goes to my lockscreen
why is that?
not pretty sure about that.
its fine
should i just remove pipewire and get pulseaudio instead
because theyre in conflict so they can be together
or do i just work with pipewire
@autumn wren its because i have pipewire
atm, it seems like you have some drivers issue.
yeah i figure
d
ill try and work it out
thank you all <3
I FUXED IT
I FIXED IT
i had to unmute the master
LOL
sorry guys
