Do you have NVIDIA gpu?
yes
wm? sorry im new whats a wm? ik what a vm is
Window Manager
sddm
Go and update your system, and reinstall nvidia drivers with nvidia package
did you install the nvidia drivers from Nvidia's website?
@solar pecan
i installed them using pacman
sddm
So the error is that no displays were found, I would try reinstalling the nvidia drivers, and making sure that you are using linux linux kernel
But first just try update and reboot
okay i try them in 10 min
I mean full system update sudo pacman -Suy, if you just update the kernel, you will be in trouble, never do partial updates
okay
"suy" Heresy
I did it, and nothing is differnt
Ok, what is that you are trying to launch
and i also see [TIME] Timed out waiting for device /sys/subsystem/net/devices/enp56s0
startx
are you on a laptop?
no on pc
Can you try downloading sddm and i3-wm to quickly check if xorg works
you can remove them later with sudo pacman -Rns sddm i3-wm
ok i downloaded them both
and startx says the same thing or do i need to do an different command?
I also have a new file in my home partition called: "xorg, conf.new"
do sudo systemctl start sddm
then choose i3, and put your login and password
see if you see something new
nothing happens if i do sudo systemctl start sddm
It tried 3 times to start there is a red text that says: Failed to read display number from pipe, and a orange text that says: Attempt 1 starting the display server on vt 2 failed
i can send a picture idk how to copy that an send that
I also use a dvi Cable idk if that has something to do with that
Man I have no Idea how to fix this, sorry
no problem
nvm that link dosent work
I just installed windows again
